  3. Yeah, right? theres approximetely 8 minutes of footage there, which is about 1/5 of an episode! 1-3 Sneak Peeks would be OK, this is too much.

Such a promising start to the show but the way they're portraying Bruce is so very underwhelming.

I've said this before but I'm going to repeat it here again since the show is coming back.

Bruce Wayne will become Batman. Now I know many of the viewers and commentors on this site don't and haven't read any of the comics and that's fair but that's not what matters at this point. Those that have experienced the comic books and graphic novels will have a better appreciation of what I'm getting at. The point is that everyone knows who Batman is in some way. They may have seen the movies, watched the various cartoons and the like. Batman is a universally recognized and known character.

Batman is the greatest detective, martial artist and escapologist in the world. He is the best at everything he does. He's not just really good: he is THE BEST. Period. That is the mythos that has been carefully and consistently cultivated for over 75 years across all media. There is no debating this. This is fact. Its not a matter of interpretation or a TV show doing their own thing.

What drove Bruce Wayne to become the world's greatest detective and martial artist was the horrific trauma of witnessing his parents murder. He dedicated himself to training his mind and body to the sole purpose of not just fighting but destroying crime and punishing criminals.

The point of this long winded comment is this:

In the show Bruce should be a hell of a lot angrier than he is. He should be a seething, trembling mass of rage. He is not coming across that way. He is coming across like a wussy little love struck dork. There should be more intensity. How cute Bruce and Selina look together should be the LAST thing on the producer's minds. They're screwing this up.

  5. Heller and company made it clear that this is a reimagining of Bruce's back story. Not an exact buildup to what happens in the comics and the movies. They're not screwing anything up unless you were expecting an exact precise prequel that matched the comics exactly. Also, the Bruce/Selina stuff has gone over very well on social media. The producers are aware of that. That's why they're putting them together in more situations. It's all about entertaining people week to week.

  6. That's not entirely true. He's the best at everything (the with prep time argument for example) but marital arts (and possibly science- Luthor might be better). But he's top five marital artists. But I have to disagree. Look I love Batman. He's my favourite superhero. I've read a lot of his stuff. Seen most adaptations, but pissed off constantly Bruce Wayne is not the most endearing kid. I hope he gets angry yeah, but if they build his obessive nature more that would be preferable to me. I hope they show his decade or so journey across the world if they get the seasons (condescense if you must). But right now Gotham just needs to shape up

  8. Bruce and Selina keep being so CUTE!!! LOL a cop that actually looks up to Gordon, cool and Milo's character reminds me of Bolin in Eye Candy

  9. Bruce is a terrible lair. Him and Cat are always so cute together. These two and Alfred are the best characters of the show, so much fun to watch them.
