Fresh Off the Boat is my favorite new sitcom this year and therefore I am quite sad that we have only two more episodes left in this season. Hopefully, ABC will renew the show and we will get more episodes in the next TV season.
The penultimate episode of season 1 of Fresh Off the Boat, titled Dribbling Tiger, Bounce Pass Dragon, sees Jessica and Louis being called to their sons' school. They think that their sons have done something wrong but it turns out that they are the ones in trouble as they have not volunteered for any extra-curricular activities, which is mandatory. They try to get out of doing so and when they are told that if they don't want to volunteer, they can donate money to the school, they reluctantly agree to volunteer for extra-curriculars.
Louis is assigned to coach the basketball team at Eddie's school. Eddie and his classmates have never had a coach and when Eddie finds out that his father played semi-pro basketball back in Taiwan, he gets really excited and fantasizes about what his father will teach them (picture something along the lines of Shaolin Soccer). But his father's coaching doesn't quite meet his expectations.
Meanwhile, Jessica is given the task to direct the upcoming play at Evan and Emery's school along with the other parents. When she sees that her sons are also taking part in the play, she is quite surprised and decides to complete re-write the play in an attempt to teach the kids what an unsteady profession acting is.
The episode is hilarious as all other episodes of the show have been. Below are the promotional photos and sneak peeks from the episode.
Dribbling Tiger, Bounce Pass Dragon airs on 14th April at 8/7c on ABC.
