After a decade-long break, Sarah Jessica Parker is returning to the HBO lineup with a new comedy series. The premium cable network has given a series order to Divorce, its single-camera comedy toplined by the Sex & the City star.
Divorce, which will film in New York, tells the story of a very, very long divorce. It centers on Frances (Parker), a woman who suddenly begins to reassess her life and her marriage, and finds that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought. Church plays Robert, Frances’ husband; Shannon is Diane, Frances’ high-strung friend; while Balsam plays Dallas, a close friend of Frances’. Flight Of The Conchords co-creator/star Jemaine Clement guest starred in the pilot.
