  1. Interesting...moving it to Friday and pairing up with Dark Matter. Not sure why their doing that. Killjoys takes the 9PM spot the Friday after, I'd have thought premiering both new shows together would be better (or even all 3 shows on the same night). I'd love to know why they're suddenly putting everything on Friday.
If Defiance doesn't move back to Thursday I'm guessing it's pairing with The Expanse. A Killjoys/The Expanse/Dark Matter (in whatever order) line-up would've been awesome though. Weird scheduling but as long they renew their shows I'm good :) (or the ones I like at least!)

  2. I can't wait to see how the Defiance writers dig themselves out of that hole they put themselves in. Amanda stabbed Nolan in the back and then tried to kill his daughter. I just don't logically see how Nolan could even be around her without wanting to kill her.

Intellectually I can understand the reasoning Amanda had, but considering they are this show's two main characters they're going to have to interact, and Nolan has a very good reason for not wanting to be anywhere near her.

I don't see how Nolan can forgive her for something like that.

  3. is that the ring girl?

oh and Defiance, I actually liked the end last season with Nolan and Irisa vs the world and them to the end scene. Would of been fine with that end. but more is good I guess.
I just don't ever want Amanda and Nolan again lol. Last season had a crazy big enemy, what is next. Are we ever gonna get to the Alien race from first Ep.

  5. Probably trying to rebuild Friday from the ground up, especially after WWE decided to move Smackdown back to Thursdays (and Dominion probably gonna stay on as its lead-out).

  6. Right okay. Let me just break some things down in a probably only semi-coherent way:

-Do you not remember 2.08? With Kenya? Nolan told her "the needs of the many outweigh the few", and he only helped her retrieve Kenya when the Irathient nightporter died and he'd gotten the location of a bomb. I seriously doubt he would've helped her with Kenya if he didn't have that info first.
-In 1.02 with the shaming rack Amanda did not like it or think it was right. It was pretty clear. But she allowed it because it was smarter to allow the Castithans their religion than to get into a war with them in the town. As the SyFy people always like to say, Amanda does what's smart, even if she doesn't believe it's right.
-Right before she betrays him (and I do not deny it was a betrayal), she says "I hope you can forgive me for this". She's conflicted, and she knows he's probably not going to forgive her. She accepts the consequences of her actions.
-Which leads to the main point of this thing; Amanda had to make a decision for the good of everyone, because the E-Rep were looking to her for guidance. And Yewll's plan was harsh and cruel. It was. But it also sounded more likely to work than Nolan's plan of putting Mordecai into a room with Irisa, and the E-Rep were desperate, and they didn't know how much time they had. I truly believe that if Amanda believed she had enough time to do so, she would've tried Nolan's plan before immediately jumping onto Yewll's bandwagon. But she didn't think she did. So she chose the plan that would kill Irisa, though I seriously doubt she wanted to, or thought it was right. Amanda is interesting in that she does have a fairly good moral compass, and yet she'll always choose to do what's smart rather than what's right; in this case, choosing a plan that sounded guaranteed to work was smart, and Nolan's plan was right.

    Tl;dr: Stop villianizing Amanda 2k15

  7. I think you missed the part where I said "Intellectually I can understand the reasoning Amanda had"

I wasn't demonizing her at all, I just said that Nolan probably wouldn't forgive her. He's really protective of his daughter and Amanda tried to kill her. No matter how you look at it, she did stab him in the back.

  8. Anyone know where I can watch Season 2? I ditched it like halfway because I didn't have time and then fall started and needed space on my DVR lol

  9. In slightly off-topic news: Lifetime Asia is airing The Amazing Race Australia Season 1 hosted by Grant and his TAR-signature cargo pants. I mean seriously, what's up with that? lol
