SYNOPSIS
A disgraced CIA agent-turned-teacher at an elite Washington, D.C., prep school trains a select few students to be his eyes and ears into the world of international espionage and to help him earn his way back into the agency.
CHARACTERS
• Andrew Jackson Stone (Alan Van Sprang) Comes in as a substitute history teacher. We realize quickly there’s something not quite right about him. He’s enigmatic until he reaches out to the 3 cheerleaders and says the CIA needs their help. He sends the cheerleaders into Fatima’s house for a mission. He said he was CIA, but is he?
• Fatima (Aylin Bayramoglu) An Ambassador’s daughter. Comes from a conservative background and doesn’t fitin with her classmates in any way, shape or form. Lives life on the fringes of the social world. She doesn’t care though. She’s probably better than anyone else anyway. She’s not a sad character; she’s strong and separate. Gets a makeover by the girls over the course of the show and is eventually brought into the death squad. Though not a cheerleader, she’s part of the core crew. Right now, Fatima will be at odds with the girls as she pokes holes in their POVs of the world and their peers. Her relationship with the squad will evolve.
• Grace (Gia Mantegna) is one of the cheerleaders. Lead in essence. She provides the viewers’ POV into the show. She’s smart, sassy and sexy. Grace is in crisis because her frenemy blew up. Grace seeks purpose, so when she is asked to be a spy, she is in.
• Maddie (Abbie Cobb) is one of the cheerleaders. Has gone through life as a happy person. She’s not the brightest bulb, but she’s awfully pretty to look at. She’s a Marilyn Monroe type: people fall over themselves to help her. She’s the sweetest thing going.
•Urusula (Pepi Sonuga) is a strong, agile cheerleader recruited for the mission who knows what she wants and gets it. Thinks life is short and wants to fill it with as many experiences as possible. Sex is at the top of her list.

Is this for real? o.O
ReplyDeleteNO clue what to think about this. I like Alan and Abbie, so I will check out the pilot with very low expectations.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think that this show is even worth my time.
ReplyDeleteSex is at the top of her list.
ReplyDeleteWhaaat?
Definite pass from me.
ReplyDeletehaha this sounds so much like CW hehe also it sounds like a live version of
ReplyDeleteTotally Spies! but I will defs check it out :)
I can't wait for this, but i have to admit these descriptions sound weird.
ReplyDeleteSex is at the top of her list. :D :D
Yep, this is a live version of Totally spies. I wanna see GLADYS http://imblog.aufeminin.com/blog/D20061020/139663_147407173_128655_383109688_sam_alex_britney_clover_h191608_l_H194516_L.jpg
ReplyDeleteI'm probably going to skip it. Just doesn't really sound like my thing.
ReplyDeleteI loved the show when i was young, so i really hope it will be very similar
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the trailer.
ReplyDeletei loved alias chuck spy shows r great but this idk i ll wait for promo then decide
ReplyDeleteNope, the only way I would watch a show with a similar set-up would it involving insane elements like zombies, monsters and crazy fight scenes. A bit like lollipop chainsaw massacre
ReplyDeleteBut since this is theCW we won't get either
This sounds so very much like Charlie's Angel's for the 21st century. My biggest concern is that some of these descriptions sound like they could have been written in the 70s. Hope execution elevates it. Could be fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's Marc Cherry, there is 0% chance it will take itself too seriously IMO. The guy is great at satire.
ReplyDeleteSounds weird on paper which probably means it's going to end up great. People scoffed at JtV and iZombie, both shows are great, I don't get the persistent skepticism, how effin' annoying. Anyway, if it gets picked up... I shall watch! On the other hand, if it means The Messengers could come back next season, I hope The CW hates the pilot.
ReplyDeleteyeah, I can't currently find a good spy show with a lot syfy mythology involved. There is the Americans which isn't a bad show just not what I was looking for really. So, I will check this out though not expecting much here.
ReplyDeletePass.Got bored reading the description!
ReplyDeleteNext?
Not gonna lie, I think it could be offer some good campy fun... at the very least I am curious to see how it shapes up...
ReplyDeleteThis... got picked up? :S
ReplyDeleteCharacter descriptions for pilot shows sound lame 95% of the time, it is how they are written. Often these are the traits that the writers "think that the character have" and not what they have actually written. You can say a character is "smart, sassy and sexy" but that does not mean how the character is written on the page or comes off in the pilot.
ReplyDeleteNo good looking male lead(s) for me,so that's a big negative for me-As much as shallow it sounds!LOL!This is an all girls show, nothing for me here.Still will give the pilot a try if it gets greenlighted.
ReplyDeleteI thought CW was done trying to appeal to teen girls but ugh this sounds awful, worse than everything they had in the early years (GG, 90210, Privileged etc). No wonder they renewed everything.
ReplyDeleteanother CBS television reject going to The CW, this will get picked up no matter what
ReplyDeleteNot yet.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to give it a chance, but these descriptions are plain awful.
ReplyDeleteWell not to jump in here, but IMO Alan Van Sprang is not bad on the eyes....
ReplyDeleteUmm..He's 43.LOL!
ReplyDeleteSo? He's still pretty sexy...
ReplyDeleteI meant some young blood-The usual CW quota, that's missing here.
ReplyDeleteI'd wait and see to be honest, before giving up on the idea of the show on that premise alone.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there's gonna be some recurring boys for the girls to hang out with in the school. Maybe a nerdy-but-cute tech support guy in his mid-to-late teens to help out Alan Van Sprang character... possibly a hunky gym or history teacher... I doubt this is all we'll be getting...
I always give any CW shows at least one chance, this one will be no exception.
ReplyDeletelikewise its good but i love syfy thrown in i do try every show then decide from there
