So we're back to this storyline. Please let it be the end of it.
ReplyDeleteWell, we waited over five years for the end of the Beckett's mother storyline, and four years for the end of the 3xk storyline. And you're upset because this storyline has taken a whole six months? Besides, the way it's looking now (and boy, I sure hope I'm wrong!), it looks like only another month for the end of ALL of Castle!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this episode. It sounds like not a lot of people likes this storyline. I might be the only one that loved this storyline. I am so looking forward to it. I just wished we didn't have to wait till the 20th April.
ReplyDeleteYou and I are not the only ones from what I've been reading on other blogs. For one of the two main characters to disappear for two months with no explanation as to why, what and persons involved is mysterious. Then to finally have an episode (one at least) give the viewers some of the details is worth watching. Then the possibility of continuing the storyarch in between various other episodes would be great. It also seems like Kate is going to make some significant changes career wise. I've always enjoyed watching Kate change and grow as she takes on new challenges. Plus, if she becomes a Captain, I hope Javi and Ryan go for promotions, too. All of them have been at the same rank for over 6 years! As Captain she will have more desk time instead of working the crime scenes. If she wants to be a Mom this would be better for her. Right now, she and Castle are both in harms way chasing killers, dodging bullets and kicking rears (well, at least she is). The writers have been hinting at a possible political career for her. Being a Captain instead of a Detective would make that more of possibility. Rick's role would also change for the positive. At least that's what I hope to see in S8 given both Stana and Fillion sign their contracts. How all the above plays out would be Amann and the writers' job. But who knows what will happen. Hoping for S8.

ReplyDeleteI still have mixed feelings about this storyline, admittedly because of how it screwed up the original wedding. While they partially made up for it, just wasn't the same. If Rick disappeared in a more "got in harm's way" manner, I think it would have been chilling, even devastating... like before their flight to the planned honeymoon, with the gang sending them off... only to find he's gone... that would have been more gut-wrenching more shrouded in mystery. I know, wishful thinking, I'm just saying I'm in the camp that wished the wedding wasn't a debacle. Other than that, I very much wish for this storyline to be very interesting for all of us.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this story line, where we'll get some answers and the best part of it for me is Kate and Rick are looking for answers together, I've got faith in these writers I've been on this ride for seven seasons, I'm hopeing they don't let us down!!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out what happened to Castle and I really am hoping for season 8 and many more to follow! I absolutely love this show and would hate to see it end I like the fact that they have so many interesting story lines regardless of what other people think I think the writers and cast have done an amazing job over these past 7 years and I look forward to many more season ahead
