  1. Seriosly, the writers choose Linda to be the Reagan to be shot?! This show is starting to irritate me more and more.
The last 2,5 seasons were like 95% Danny centric. We barely got to see Erin and Jamie focused episodes. Jamie's the one the should have been shot because of his job and what it would do to the family to go through something like this for the 2nd time (with different outcome than with Joe of course).
The first 2 seasons were beautifully balanced between all the main characters (Frank, Danny, Erin, Jamie and Henry) and now all we get is Danny this and Danny that. I mean seriously, Linda is a supporting actor in this show and she had more action than Erin and Jamie: kiddnaped, robbed, having a kid in a hospital, being shot at whilst in the car, all her scenes with Danny and now this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
It pisses me off that the writers are only focusing on Danny while they have such an awesome ensamble cast!!!!

  3. I wanted to see Jamie getting shot... Not because I don't like him, but because I reaaaaaallly like him. Then, maybe, just maybe, he'd get the attention and screen time that he deserves. Maybe he could get shot next Sunday dinner, since that's the only time I see him in a lot of episodes... I'm disappointed after seing this.

  4. I wanted to see Jamie get shot, too, but that's because I don't like him.

  5. Jamie seen only at Reagan dinner time is mostly when we see him for the last 2 seasons. If I were Will Estes I would leave the show cause it's a waste of his talent now!!!! We bearly get to see him!!!!!!

I came here to say all of this and then you just did, thank you because EXACTLY.

Love Blue Bloods, but I'm tired of this The Danny Show.

  7. Good God, it's like a Supernatural debate in here with people complaining about Dean getting more screen time than Sam.

  8. Exactly, it's definitely a waste and I really can't understand why the writers underuse him like that. He's been more of a supporting actor than anything else. I can't stand all of the Danny and Linda storylines anymore...

  9. The only thing that would make this Linda as shooting victim scenario interesting is the next dinner table. To have Danny's family against Erin's . . . or absent . . . with Grampa and Jamie weighing in on sides? It would be a powerful scene.

  10. Used to love this show and couldn't wait for each new episode and now I just record it and watch using fast forward!!

  11. Am I watching the same show as everyone else here has???? I haven't seen any unfair shift in attention towards Danny this season. You guys are all imagining stuff. Sheesh.

  12. You must have extreme selective memories. Either that, or you missed all the episodes where Jamie was essential to the storyline this season...

    ReplyDelete
  13. that's because the shift happened somewhere in season 3!!!!!

  14. No it didn't. I see no difference, other than the fact that they don't have a season long arc like the Blue Templar.

  15. Yes it did, the first 2 seasons the episodes were balanced between the main cast and now if we get like one or 2 episodes centered on Erin or Jamie during the season it's a miracle because all we get is Danny, hell Baez had more screen time than them!!! Maybe you can't see it if you're a Danny fan.

  16. I like SN and I don't see a problem there like in Blue Bloods, the brothers have equal parts.

    ReplyDelete
  17. there was maybe like 2 episodes centered on Jamie this season!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. No, there were more than that.

  19. HEY!! GO TO HELL! I'm not a X-character whatever fan!

  20. They should rename this show to Daniel Reagan's Law.

  21. I don't understand all the 'it's the Danny show' bla bla...
In every episode Jamie and Danny have a case on their own, we always have a murder case and some 'street' police case. And of course a lot happens to Linda so to show how the whole family deals with it...

  22. Let's agree to dissagree. When Danny gets a bunch of episodes when he's only seen during Reagan's dinner table then we can debate.
And FYI: half of the episodes you mentioned where more Danny than Jamie. And now I'm done with this disscussion.

  23. Fine. Whatever. Piss off.

  24. THANK YOU!

FINALLY, someone here who isn't batshit insane!

  25. Well said.....I really enjoy this show and as a police officers wife I think it is more acurate than all the other shows...can't wait for this ep and really enjoying the show. What I do get fed up with is all the people who come on these pages to moan all the time...if you don't like it then don't watch! Have you all got that much time on your hands to go on every show you don't like just to moan? It takes a lot of work to make these shows so have a bit if respect. Rant over 😜

Bring back Blue Bloods as an ensemble, not the Danny show!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I disagree, it is not the Danny show. Danny is a fictional Detective who is likely to get more cases than an Officer. I think Blue Bloods has done well to establish all the characters and stay true to form, if Officer Jamie Reagan was assigned cases then it would be too fictional.
People need to look at Blue Bloods as a TV show about a family of Police all at different stages in their career and not fixate on the one they think is 'cute' or 'sweet' And lets face it, Jamie has been shot (when his partner died) Erin has been shot at the courts, Frank has been shot by a drive by, the only one who has not been shot is Danny!
