It appears that Showcase (Canada) will be airing Season 3 of Beauty and the Beast 4 days BEFORE (17th May) it will air in America on the 21st May.

Will be great for those who coughtorrentcough..... err, watch in Canada! Forever has been airing the day before the US in Canada since it started AFAIK but 4 days will certainly impact US audiences.
ReplyDeleteReign also airs a day early.
ReplyDelete4 days with such a passionate fanbase will certainly have impact an the show.
I stopped watching last year.
ReplyDeleteSuicide
ReplyDeleteIck! Kill it with fire!
ReplyDeleteBefore anyone goes into a frenzy, this won't effect the ratings.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much TV piracy truly affects ratings.
ReplyDeleteShowcase always airs its shows on Sunday night, right? Sri, no surprise.
ReplyDeleteReally how is this show even on the air still
ReplyDeleteIt's a cheap international co -production,a big international seller, does well digitally ,is a pet project of the head of CW,is halfway to syndication & has tie in novels/DVDs slew to make money that's how.

ReplyDeleteMaybe...??? I'm not really sure what the fanbase is like but Rookie Blue premiered in the US about 2 weeks after it premiered in Canada last summer and it did good. Good enough that its premiering a month after Canada. If the fanbase is as die hard as I've heard, BATB will do fine with premiering 4 days late.
ReplyDeleteWorks fine for me because I always watch it on both networks anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt was airing a day early for a while but 4 days is a lot! I don't see any people who are eager to watch waiting... I'm in Canada but plan to watch the whole season together. I watched Bitten which already finished in Canada before it started in the US, all over one weekend which was so much better than waiting through 10 weeks!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I don't know why people who don't like this show even bother to comment. There are people that LOVE this show and that should be enough NOT to insult it. I don't see any beastie insulting your show. I don't comment, Just Burn it Already or I didn't know anybody still watched this show. If you think anonymity gives you free reign to insult other people's shows, then fine, go ahead I'm hope it makes you feel better, insulting a show you don't even watch. Know that you are also insulting it's fans , but I guess your parents didn't raise you to be more respectful of others
ReplyDeleteIt's on the air because people watch it. I don't insult your show, so please have some respect for mine. Your show is loosely based on fairy tale characters as is BatB. If ppl even gave it a chance before putting it down maybe ppl wouldn't dismiss it so easily. I fell in love with this show from the beginning and happen to love the epic romance which is sorely lacking in other TV shows.
ReplyDeleteI'm just saying how is it on the air with the horrible horrible ratings it has. Not what the show is about
ReplyDeleteSlightly off-topic. Just got word that the Philippines will be 4 days behind the US telecast of new BATB episodes starting May 26.
ReplyDeleteI don't have news however about the rest of Asia getting their hands on the new season on RTL-CBS Entertainment.
its ratings are very similar to other show ratings on the cw - only very few shows on the cw actually do well...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the response and yes it's what Anna said, some of the shows on CW have worse S1 ratings than BatB ever had, and usually loose even more viewers after that. BatB has solid fan base and huge online viewership. They are starting to count that into the mix as more and more of the younger generation only use their iPhones and tablets to view their shows. The way of TV is slowly going bye bye. BatB epic romance has captured the hearts of many worldwide. Other countries actually bought the rights to air S3 and it hasn't even aired in N Amerca yet. Also unprecedented is the fact that they approved a S4 and S3 hasn't even aired yet. S1 and 2 was trending on Netflix too. So people are watching it, just not on TV.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the long response, kinda addicted to this show, esp. Vincat. And Vincent, well, there are no words.❤️
Germany will be televising in July and Israel a few days after it airs in US. Got that off Twitter followers
ReplyDeleteAiring early isn't helping Reign out either, as its ratings are also very low. But emphasis here is that they are looking at other things when renewing shows. TV is becoming more and more obsolete and mobile devices are taking over. None of my nieces and nephews watch TV any more, they stream everything online. If a show has huge online viewings, which BatB does, that counts for something
ReplyDeletegood.
