Cherie Daly has been tweeting and posting on Instagram about her return on the set for 10 days for shooting this year. She first appeared briefly in last year's 'Tribal' as a friend of Alison who was glad to see her survive the shootout and siege at the Cadi. We assume she will be reprising as the same character as she says that this is her first recurring role.

8th April - CINEMAX ANNOUNCES START OF PRODUCTION FOR FOURTH SEASON
NEW YORK, April 8, 2015 – Production has begun in Pittsburgh on the fourth season of the Emmy®-winning CINEMAX action series BANSHEE, it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Programming. The eight-episode season will air in 2016, with Alan Ball, Greg Yaitanes, Jonathan Tropper, Peter Macdissi, Adam Targum and Ole Christian Madsen executive producing.
BANSHEE concluded its third season last month, achieving record ratings for CINEMAX as well as critical acclaim. Yahoo! named it “TV’s best action show,” while the A.V. Club described the series as “one of the best things on television, period.” The Huffington Post called the show “wildly witty,” and Grantland said BANSHEE is “a whole hell of a lot of fun.”
Debuting in Jan. 2013, BANSHEE stars Antony Starr (“Wish You Were Here”) as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Pa., where he continues his criminal pursuits while enforcing his own code of justice.
Other cast includes Ivana Milicevic (the upcoming “Aloha,” HBO’s “Mind of the Married Man”) as Carrie Hopewell, a notorious jewel thief who lives in Banshee under an assumed identity with her new family, which has recently learned of her criminal past; Ulrich Thomsen (“The Celebration”) as Lucas’ arch-enemy, Kai Proctor, an intimidating, wealthy businessman who believes he is above the law; Hoon Lee (“The Blacklist”) as Job, a dangerous transvestite computer hacker who assists Lucas and Carrie in their criminal enterprises; Frankie Faison (“The Good Wife,” HBO’s “The Wire”) as Sugar Bates, a wise and powerful former boxer who owns the local watering hole and serves as confidante to Lucas and Job; Matt Servitto (HBO’s “The Sopranos”) as Brock Lotus, Lucas’ long-suffering veteran deputy; Ryann Shane (“Lights Out”) as Deva Hopewell, Carrie’s teenage daughter, who is rattled after learning Lucas fathered her; Lili Simmons (HBO’s “True Detective”) as Rebecca Bowman, Proctor’s sexy niece, who has taken on a larger role in his criminal activities; Matt Rauch (“The Blacklist,” “The Wolf of Wall Street”) as Clay Burton, Proctor’s multifaceted, complicated bodyguard and right-hand man; Tom Pelphrey (“The Following”) as Kurt Bunker, a former skinhead who joins the Banshee sheriff’s department as a deputy; and Chris Coy (“The Walking Dead,” HBO’s “Treme”) as Calvin Bunker, Kurt’s unsavory brother, who has kept his Nazi ties.
New to the cast are Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) as Veronica Dawson, a tough, sexy and shockingly reckless FBI profiler with no shortage of personal demons, who joins forces with Lucas, and Ana Ayora (“The Big Wedding”) as Nina Cruz, a Banshee deputy working as an inside plant for Proctor.
In Sept. 2013, BANSHEE received a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role.
Season four credits: BANSHEE was created by Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler; executive producers, Alan Ball, Greg Yaitanes, Jonathan Tropper, Peter Macdissi, Adam Targum, Ole Christian Madsen; producer, Robert F. Phillips
6th April - Eliza Dushku Joins Banshee in Season 4
Thanks to XeXu18 for the heads up.
Eliza Dushku is making the leap from slayer to slayer-hunter.
The Buffy alumna will recur in the upcoming fourth season of Cinemax’s Banshee, our sister site Deadline reports, playing Agent Veronica Dawson, a “sexy and shockingly reckless FBI profiler.”
Agent Dawson will reportedly team up with Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) to catch a serial killer. Of course, there’s a good chance her “personal demons” will make that task easier said than done.

4th April - Greg Yaitanes on Season 4
What effect does Gordon's death have on Carrie? Does she blame Lucas?
Yaitanes: Without giving away too much, it'll definitely ripple into our plans for Season 4, how this affects Carrie. It affects the whole family. When we return to Banshee in Season 4, the Hopewell family isn't as we know it now.
The team suffered another loss when Job was taken. How does that impact Lucas?
Yaitanes: You see how heavily it weighs on him at the end of the episode, and it's something that will be part of our narrative for Season 4. We have to get Job.
Lucas' resignation will stick?
Yaitanes: Absolutely. Lucas is not the sheriff of Banshee. That was legitimate. After a lot of fakeouts with giving up the badge, this is going to stick. We don't want to leave a story on the table, and we go into every season like it's our last. Fortunately, it's not, but we wanted to tell the natural end of the basic premise of the show and also keep people wondering where the show's going to go. As someone who's read the first three episodes of Season 4, I can tell you that the first 10 minutes of Season 4 will have jaws on the floor.
Any final teases for what we can expect next season?
Yaitanes: I think you're going to see more of an ensemble next year. The show was always conceived to be an ensemble with Lucas Hood heading up that ensemble, and yet I never felt like the show had a lead actor. I felt like it was the kind of show that different story lines can emerge in the foreground much the way you've seen with Brock coming to the foreground this year. I feel that where the show's going will be an even richer, complex, interwoven ensemble, which is something that we really took to this year. It'll be everything that people take from the show, but you're going see a completely unexpected season that will leave people guessing as to where we're going with it, especially after the first 10 minutes.

4th April - Casting News
Lilith and Declan Bode, a married couple with a dark secret will be recurring from midway through the season. On the surface she is a happy, good-natured wife to a regular hipster - albeit one who has had horns implanted in his skull. In private, however, Declan's magnetic charm holds sway over his followers and wife as they indulge in satanic worship, kidnap and ritual sex crimes with their victims.
Cheers Andy :)
ReplyDeleteHa yes, I wonder how the new Cadi team will handle it.
I am glad that Lucas' resignation as Sheriff is going to stick.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that the show will be even more of an ensemble in S4. A little less spotlight on Lucas is always a good thing (at least in my books).
Lilith and Declan - depraved and deadly. Just the right kind of villains for this show.
The one story line that I am looking forward to the most, is the Proctor plant in the BPD. It will be interesting to see where it goes and how much & in what ways Proctor benefits from it.
Close second is Carrie's arc - moving forward, what does she do? How will she be involved? Will she team up with Lucas to rescue Job? Most probably. But apart from that, what else? Will she continue thieving? Will she change for the better? I am hoping that she strikes up some kind of criminal alliance with Rebecca - that would be awesome. It would also mean the possibility of some great character interactions between Carrie and Rebecca, Carrie and Burton & maybe even Carrie and Proctor.
Other things to look forward to - Kurt Bunker, his brother and the Nazi Brotherhood.
Proctor, Burton and Rebecca - I have a feeling that the Salvadoran is going to cause problems for them. Right before he died, Frasier spoke about him bitterly implying that the Salvadoran had betrayed Frasier before in the past.
I am really looking forward to Bunkers storyline. I didn´t like where we left him.
ReplyDeleteLess Lucas ??!! Oh, no, I love to watch Lucas Hood in action. He is best with Job and across from Proctor, so I hope Job will be found sooner rather than later.
A little less Carrie would work for me though. Never been a big fan of her.
Proctor, Rebecca and Burton....can´t wait to see what they are up to.
"I can tell you that the first 10 minutes of Season 4 will have jaws on the floor" Sigh. How long until we get the season premiere? Too damn long.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the resignation wasn't just an end of season thing, but will be for the foreseeable future too. I'm looking forward to seeing Brock in charge for a bit, and how that will change things in the Cadi. I really enjoyed the scenes where we saw him taking Bunker under his wing a bit during the last two episodes, and his stepping up in general throughout the season. I think he's going to find it one hell of a challenge to be on the straight and narrow like he would like to be, and could well be calling on Lucas for some backup along the way - which the new undercover Deputy will make the most of!
ReplyDeleteI think the Hopewell's are going to find it tough, will Deva be the second wheel stepping up as Carrie's partner in crime perhaps? But then, who will be looking after Max, especially if he is still sick...not that we saw a great deal of him this year, he could just be playing that game in his room still :p lol
Another character I loved joining this season (alongside Bunker) was Hector, and I hope you're right about him causing trouble. He's a mouthy little sh*t and I agree that Fraiser was telling the truth about him too, don't trust him at all however much I enjoy his antics.
Agreed on Bunker, he made a huge impact in what little screen time he had and I'm very eager to see where his story goes next year. There's been so much teased that I hope it plays out as well as the build up.
ReplyDeleteAt present, I have no clue on how they will find Job. My best guess is that whoever he's been taken to will use him to try and lure Hood in too? It would be great to maybe see Fat Au for an episode or two on the case from his end imo, he's another character that I like.
Ha yes, far too long! It had better be good too, cos with a promise like that you know we're gonna be coming up with some imaginative ideas over the next 8/9 months or so XD
ReplyDelete"It had better be good" I know you aren't doubting Greg there ;) After his teases for the Burton/Nola fight and the 20 minute scene paying off this year, I have huge hopes from that comment and fully expect that we won't be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteYea Less Lucas is a no no for me too. Keep the Core cast active, side new cast here and there. Don't tell me you ran out of material, ppl live 70+ years they never run out of things to do.
ReplyDeleteEliza Dushku - YAY!!!! S4 sounds quite interesting with each bit of news coming out. But I am a bit confused. Her character is an FBI profiler who teams up with Hood to catch a serial killer - does that mean Hood goes back to BPD at some point in S4? It wouldn't make sense for the FBI to team up with a civilian, right? Or maybe Eliza's character is acting on her own and she takes Hood's help?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Sandi! S3 was a crazy, fun, messy season, and I'm glad there will be a S4. That said, "ensemble cast" is usually jargon for S2 Heroes silliness, and less Hood makes me sad. I'm sure Starr's entire body is one big bruise by now, but he's the reason I tune in. Watching all the other characters revolve around/meet their fates by his actions has been an integral theme to the show, sheriff badge or no sheriff badge, and I'll miss it if the showrunners have junked the premise in favor of becoming just another show about bad people doing bad things. I.e., while I love Proctor as a foil for Hood, I'm not so interested in seeing Proctor untethered from this hook. (Though that season finale smile made me think of the old chestnut "...keep your enemies closer.")
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Bunker's continued, expanded storyline. Pelphrey is a great addition to Banshee, full stop.
Finally, seriously? Murderous Santanists? As if Rabbit wasn't campy enough....
We'll have to wait and see! All I want out of Eliza Dushku recurring is to see her kicking ass as only she can, She's so good with stunts and fighting stuff, I hope the fbi profiler knows how to throw a punch!
ReplyDeleteAs her character is described as reckless I'm wondering if she's been sent his way by Agent Phillips perhaps? She might also become useful in tracking down Job?
ReplyDeleteCheers for updating the post Andy. Awesome news about Eliza, so stoked that she is going to be on the show!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure :)
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that Hood will be able to do more damage against Proctor now he's not wearing the badge, like you say, keep you're enemies closer :)
ReplyDeleteOn the surface, it looks like there will be way too many story lines going on in just 8 episodes of S4.
ReplyDeleteYou have Bunker, Brock, BPD and the Brotherhood - will it be their own story line or will Hood also get involved down the line? Also in this is the side story of the wife (played by Casey Labow) of the local Brotherhood leader - there's a very high probability that she is Calvin's wife.
You have Proctor's mole (played by Ana Ayora ) working as a deputy at BPD - this means Proctor's involvement. Possibility of Brock also getting caught up in this is also high.
You will most definitely have the usual Proctor/Rebecca/Burton shenanigans.
You have Lilith and Declan Bode, a perverted couple. Wonder how they will fit into the story. And now you have Eliza Dushku hunting a serial killer with Hood. I have a feeling that the serial killer hunt coincides with Lilith and Declan Bode.
Most important of all is Job's rescue. How many episodes is that going to take? Who has him? Is it Dalton? If so, then that is a pretty huge story line itself and it would feature Hood prominently.
So my question is, how are they going to juggle so many story lines in just 8 episodes. Hence, my fear of overcrowding.
This made my day! So happy to see her back on TV and on Banshee, no less!
ReplyDeleteIf someone deserves to do damage to Proctor it is Brock. Hood is a grade 'A' criminal himself - his hypocrisy when he talks about or plans to bring down Proctor makes me angry. Look at Hood. He's no fucking innocent. A thief and a murderer, that's what he is. It's not like he has changed completely. So, when he gets all sanctimonious and pissy about Proctor, I find it hard to take him seriously.
ReplyDeletelike i seriously need any more reason to love this show ! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi girl, for the update. serial killers, satanic cults, neo - Nazis. Sounds like we're in for one very dark, hell of a season
ReplyDeleteOr...do you think Hood and Proctor will forge an alliance and work together? I figure if anyone has the resources to find Job in Hood's small world, Proctor would be that person. Will Hood make a deal with the devil to get his friend back? Or should we say one devil making a deal with another? LOL Though with today's news about Eliza Dushka and the FBI coming back, maybe not? So many thoughts!
ReplyDeleteForgot to say, love your avatag. (You and I caught the Bunker bug early.)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant piece of casting!
ReplyDeleteCheers! I do love Bunker on the show, he became a very compelling character pretty quickly :)
ReplyDeleteLet's get this started!
ReplyDeleteIt does sound pretty packed, I hope that some of these plot points overlap which would make it run smoother perhaps. Like you say, the serial killer could well be the Bode's with their ritual sex sacrifices , and it's even possible that they tie in with the Brotherhood somehow. Maybe they have moved to Banshee due to being suspects elsewhere and have a connection with the Nazi's as a way of hiding out. Could the two new women be sisters, or one of the Brotherhood's wives gets taken as a victim?
ReplyDeleteOverlapping if done in a smooth, organic and logical manner adds to the richness of the story lines. But overlapping for the sake of overlapping makes the story lines contrived and reliant on far fetched coincidences.
ReplyDeleteSo, I humbly differ. I don't think the Brotherhood story line is in any way connected to the ritual sex sacrifices. On the surface, they look like two very different plot lines.
or one of the Brotherhood's wives gets taken as a victim?
Ah! The casting news does say that the twisted couple also engage in kidnap. That would be a great way to tie in two separate story lines.
I can't wait until the spoilers start pouring in.
ReplyDeleteI like that tech scouting. Many fights could happen in that old barn.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing Matthew out of character, he's so different :)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, the only time Hood was trying to take down Proctor without killing him was back in Season 2 but even that wasn't "by the book" since he had broken into his house and discovered the secret area that harbored weapons (mostly guns). Now it was Season 3 where Hood tried to kill Proctor and various factors came into play when it came down to them going head to head (again).
ReplyDeleteOverall, I am sure that we all know who Hood is but at the same time, he is not one of the many scumbags that him or even the BPD have dealt with (the biker gang, the two guys who were holding up the school, the guy who murdered Emmett, the list goes on) so I will still be rooting for him, regardless of his situation with Proctor. Though it seems possible that those two will be working together in Season 4 and I hope that happens since I want SOMEONE to help Hood find Job.
So OC and Adam teaming up for the first two episodes. Last (and first) double they did together was Tribal/We Were All Someone Else Yesterday - and those were two awesome episodes (Tribal was the first episode Adam wrote which is mightily impressive).
ReplyDeleteAlso, OC directed Meet the New Boss which was the Hood vs. Sanchez fight, so when combining that with Targaum's writing I am expecting some seriously kickass action and two brilliant episodes to start the season.
"Something out of the Bible". Must have something to do with Kai and his "Religious beliefs"

ReplyDeleteSpoilers (if they real) too big to handle! Please let someone say it's not true!
Thanks. We've just added them to the post.
ReplyDeleteWe can only assume they are real as they appear to be legitimate casting calls.
Woah at those spoilers in the casting call, especially that second one. I shouldn't be too surprised about that second thing though if it happens in either of the first two episodes given Adam is writing and what he did in his first episode (trying to be as vague as possible here).
ReplyDeleteShould have seen that coming for Proctor though. That really opens up some story for him (and Brock ain't gonna be happy about that either).
I was asking cuz isn't it too much to reveal in just casting call? I mean why not only say "dead body"? I really don't want to believe in it. Rebecca is my favourite character and truth be told the only one that evolved in show and again they will kill woman?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't even need to mention that. Why not just stop after "...the residents of Banshee"? We'd be none the wiser and assume it's in the aftermath of everything Hood's caused since he came along.
ReplyDeleteExactly! This is like if there would be casting call for: "Siobhan's funeral attendant" before S3 even started filming.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? I hadn't gotten into Banshee this time last year so I avoided all that, lol. But that's insane. I know this show is one of the few that doesn't suffer THAT much from spoilers but they could at least try, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh, maybe I wrote it wrong: there wasn't anything like that (about Siobhan) but this spoiler (Rebecca) is something like if they would tell about Siobhan death already before S3. I hope I wrote it right now.
ReplyDeleteCalvin Bunker's boss? A Nazi working for an Asian dude? That's not going to end well
ReplyDeleteWTF!!!! That is one humungous spoiler inside that casting call. WTF!!! WTF!!!! That character is one of my favorites and to see that is quite a huge shock.
ReplyDeleteProctor's rise is on expected lines but to see the other character's journey curtailed in such a way has currently left me in shock.
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too. After everything in season 3 developing that character that is very very sudden. Also it worries me a little thinking about it that we may end up treading similar ground to season 3.
ReplyDeleteAll that development laid waste. Add to that, I think it's still very early into S4 filming, right? If so, it's even worse to lose such a character in the initial run of episodes of S4.
ReplyDeleteIt was either Greg Yaitanes or Adam Targum that said that the first 15 mins of the premiere would stun viewers (or something along those lines). Now I see what that means. It could work well though because it could shape the season in Banshee with Brock, Proctor etc while Hood's off finding Job.
ReplyDeleteCould the fate of this character tie in with the serial killer arc of S4? Plausible, right? Survive banishment from home, then Chayton, Nola and Frasier only to end up being a victim of a killer who preys on women.
ReplyDeleteI know that this event will provide season's worth of material for Proctor and Brock but I am still very, very pissed. That character apart from finding their own feet in a hard world, brought a lot of uncertainty, spontaneity and risk to Proctor and his life. Kept things enjoyable with their volatile nature.
She's my favourite too - she was truly probably the only one that evolved through all 3 seasons, I really was looking forward to see her taking over the family business.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think that would work. Would certainly give Proctor a reason to want the killer stopped ASAP (legally or no, which would work for both sides of him).
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a real shame. Didn't start off as a great character but after that season 2 finale things definitely went on the up.
Still, at least it isn't Job ;)
It is very possible, although I really do not want to see her being tortured and killed. Why they would kill off another female character?
ReplyDeleteSame here. This is quite a shock. First time ever that I am pissed at the show.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same - after Greg was all the time calling her "Banshee's Michael Corleone" I always thought she will learn how run business and later will became the boss (after Proctor's death/being arrested). Even death of Proctor would not surprised me that much. I can't believe in it. I know it is highly unlikely but maybe some of show creators/writers/diresctors will say something about it?
ReplyDeleteRight now, I am bitter and petty. How I wish someone from Team Lucas dies.
ReplyDeleteI want balance in this world. ;) :)
I don't think they will say anything. Right now, they must be pissed as hell that the casting call was so openly worded and was leaked.
ReplyDeleteWell, Hood can't die (duh), Job can't die (duh), Sugar can't die (I need his banter with Job). So just Ana is left. And after Gordon died her dying would be just harsh on Deva and Max.
ReplyDeleteSo no one from Team Lucas dies ;)
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTrue. I wonder who is writing descriptions for characters in casting calls? and why that person would write all this?
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit dubious about this casting call tbh, it doesn't quite sit right with me. The level of info - Mayor Proctor & death of Rebecca - isn't something I'd imagine hearing from a source like this...unless someone really f'd up! I was also kind of expecting Alison to become the DA, since she became a regular last season but didn't actually get much screen time.
ReplyDeleteI know we've been told to expect a complete wtf moment in the first 10 minutes of the next season, but is this too much of a wtf? Maybe it's a fakeout if it is for real - dream sequence/what if type affair/or some sort of Proctor gameplan?
Kinda there with ya, I guess Siobhan & Gordon are the closest we get to that though. Oh and Job going missing I suppose.... :/
ReplyDeleteIt stunned me when I saw it. Wish I hadn't tbh.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly though I hope it is real. Could do without any dream sequence nonsense. Also it really would be a WTF moment and I love when Banshee does them.
I don't think the spoilers in the casting call are true though. They won't kill Rebecca off after offing two female fan favorites in one season.Especially since they would never reveal this big of a spoiler in a casting call. No way. The casting call doesn't include any of the previously announced actors joining the cast either.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I really enjoyed the dream sequence things they did this year with Hood, both tthe Siobhan appearances and the flashback stuff in the episode after she died.
ReplyDeleteBut I'd rather think that they are trolling with this info release tbh 😜 lol
I don't think the Rebecca spoiler is true. They won't reveal that kind of information in a casting call. Also, that would be the third female fan favorite that they kill in a short amount of time Banshee is crazy, but not that crazy.
ReplyDeleteI really hope they're not true. But why would they say it if it wasn't?
ReplyDeleteYes, actually, they handled that well. But dream episodes are very hit and miss and though I trust Banshee's ability to do absolutely anything, I'm not sure it's worth the risk.
ReplyDeleteI am still hoping that they are. Though I really want Proctor to become mayor because the amount of havoc he could cause would be amazing.
A casting call wouldn't include actors that are already cast, it's kinda like an advert for the new actors they are looking to hire.
ReplyDeleteSaying that, I'm hoping it's not what it seems.
It would be interesting to see I guess, I'm not sure how he'll find the time for the job mind, or how to ensure getting all the votes so quickly, lol.
ReplyDeleteHis job balance will be like Hood in season 3, I would say. Proctor said in the first season that he built the town and I think people don't want to get on his bad side either. Also with the two previous mayors being murdered no one probably wants the job lol.
ReplyDeleteThere is one thing I thought about, the thing that Banshee not yet did in any season/episode - maybe that first shocking 10 minutes could be a flash forward scene till maybe penultimate episode and through the first 6 we will see how it happened? So that would make Rebecca star in almost every episode and somehow would explain why that was revealed in casting call?
ReplyDeleteAhh, now there's an idea. Though it would be copying Hannibal a bit too closely perhaps? I would like to think there's a twist to this if it is for real.
ReplyDeleteOh man these training vids have me so excited. The first one has some fancy foot little footwork going on. I hate waiting. Hate it.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I love the little extras like this. I've been sitting on the first couple for a few days until the Banshee Action account put some up too so they would make more of a posting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! I love them too.
ReplyDeleteWhy the heck is Burton on set in a prison filming day? :o
ReplyDeleteI also need more training videos, they are all fab to watch imo :)
Hmm, why is the title of episode 3 so spoilery? I can see Eliza saying the 4.04 one perhaps, or maybe someone to Job?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update @Sandi
ReplyDeletelol i like the title of 404 ... very fitting
ReplyDeleteChris' training videos are getting even better, can't wait to see what he's up to in the show!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know if Greg is directing any episodes this year? After directing Bullets and Tears and that incredible heist sequence last season, I can't imagine a season without him.
ReplyDeleteI loved the B&W BTS pick of your guy. This wait is getting harder and harder already.
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing has turned into a cartoon. I am hoping truly for less Lucas. I have had enough of Antony brooding all over the place getting into one ridiculous fight or another that gets more Quentin Tarantino-esq by the minute. We have not had much Carrie in two seasons, and I for one hope we get lots of her in the coming season because when she was featured regularly was when Banshee was at it's best. Heart and Violence. Now it's just a collection of fighting sequences and let's see how much more gore we can achieve with today's technology. The female audience is unimpressed. Banshee is a show for all. Let's try and keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely one isn't it, even though it's a bit of a serious selfie, lol :) I wish he'd (and some of the others) put some training videos up too, they are fab to watch.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes. Just about anyone could say that line in the episode I think, though I'm hoping it could be related to Job. I'm really intrigued to know what has happened to him and how the others will get him back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update @Sandi
ReplyDeleteNot sure. He's been busy with Quarry so far as I know.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he is, he's concentrating on Quarry this year I believe. It will be a little strange, but Madsen's back who did Tribal. I love his episodes too :)
ReplyDeleteThat's unfortunate. Still, Madsen is terrific and they do have a nice range of capable directors.
ReplyDeleteThis female has been very impressed with the last two seasons :)
ReplyDeleteThat's true. I would like Magnus Martens to come back and shoot a couple, I really enjoyed his work last season too.
ReplyDeleteYes, those two he did, especially 303, were fantastic.
ReplyDeletedon't remind me *cries in a corner*
ReplyDelete*joins you* I'm hoping it's something that's sorted out early on in the season, but being Banshee there's bound to be something nasty going on there :(
ReplyDeleteI love this show but why only 8 episodes. Bring more Job in he is really good.
ReplyDeleteLove this show can't wait till it starts up again, but why only 8 episodes, we need a full 10 or 20. Bring Job in more he is really good.
ReplyDeleteJob is my favourite character too, Hoon Lee is marvellous. I get why they do limit his screen time though, he is a character that would be easy to spoil by over exposing him to the audience I think. As Greg says in the interview above though, his return will play an important part of the season, and it will be more of an ensemble piece than ever next year too. So even though we are having a shorter run (which I have to agree I am sad about!) it looks like most of the characters will be getting some decent screen time.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what the car stunt is about!
ReplyDeleteso excited about Banshee!!! Anyway, one guy looks a lot like Anthony and other has haircut like Bunker. Are they their stuntmen????...interesting....
ReplyDeleteYeah, that finale title scares me.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I have all kinds of scenarios in my mind and I'm scared of all of them. That's a fairly epic, potentially heartbreaking, word to use for a title.
ReplyDeleteEspecially as it's Madsen, who did Tribal this year. To say that I'm nervous is a bit of an understatement tbh!
ReplyDeletebtw, I've just added those training & BTS photos/videos I was talking about to the post too now :)
Lol yes, very good description...stupid brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHadn't even paid attention to who was directing. Also, he's doing the premiere so once we've seen that we'll be even more terrified, assuming it's as crazy as I expect it to be.
ReplyDeleteYep, which has me wondering even harder if we're looking at a flashback through the whole of the season after seeing a huge event happen at the start of the first episode - possibly Rebecca's death.
ReplyDeleteI think you could be right :)
ReplyDeleteYep, that's a very valid theory. That'd be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously looking forward to the fights this year. The Banshee Fitness photos and videos have been fascinating, you can really see how the cast have improved over the course of the training they have undertaken so far. Greg's tweet about what's to come has also piqued my interest, that Movie Fights video is awesome - I may, or may not, have watched it far too many times already... :p
ReplyDeleteOnly 8 episodes? Why??!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so awesome Sandi! Thank you. I'm trying to convert Dahne but I think it might be too graphic.
ReplyDeleteHmm, yeah, I think it will be a bit too graphic for Dahne unfortunately. I'm hoping that The Fall by RTE One/BBC Two might be a bit more suitable, the violence in that is more cerebral, and it's more of a thriller than an out and out graphic sex/violence thing. Plus, Gillian Anderson ftw! (and Colin Morgan (Merlin) in S2 ;) )
ReplyDeleteThese new BTS look awesome. These guys are the hardest working in the business. Also, I just love Matt Rauch. You can tell he really loves his job. All of them really but I love to see MR post.
ReplyDeleteI'm going back for seconds now! TY.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a bit gutting :( I guess it's to do with the change of location and Greg being off doing his new show, stuff like that. I get the feeling it was something they were after rather than it being something that was forced on them.
ReplyDeleteHa, you're welcome! I'm glad you're appreciating them as much as I am. I save them up and add them when ever there's some news to post, so there's a nice few to go through :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too. It seems that he and Lili are fairly close on set too as they often appear together in his tweets. His stunt double smiles too much though, it has to be said :p
ReplyDeleteLol, he really does. I think he loves his job too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know he's busy with the new show. And I don't mind if it was their decision or whoever. It's just that.............I NEED MORE BANSHEEEEEE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut I'll take what I can get, no big deal. ;)
Ah, that is a great theory. Shocking event show in the first ten minutes could be Rebecca's death as a flash forward. The whole season then could lead up to that. But whatever the case, Rebecca's upcoming death is a real bummer for me. After all the character development that she has gone through, I had high hopes that she would be a survivor. But then again, that's the nature of Banshee, I suppose. Sometimes cruel when it comes to characters (just look at Siobhan and Gordon). In the world of Banshee, such characters do not survive.
ReplyDeleteI'm still holding out on her death being a fake out, the casting call is worded in a way that could mean many things after all - dream sequence, con job, or even plain old swap with a different cast member or blatant lie just to fool us, the fans, who they know would be desperately looking anywhere for any info at all during the hiatus.
ReplyDeleteBut yes, the show well go there too. At the end of the day, we know what this show does to its characters, as you say :( She'll probably end up hooking up with Bunker, as they both sort out a load of their personal issues, then it will become a who dunnit through the who season - the Brotherhood or Kai/Burton, with a twist ending of it being Eliza's character or Hood (or even his daughter?) who bumped her off, lol.
Hey Sandi, if you talking about Rebecca and Bunker than
ReplyDeleteSPOILER Alert:
Couple months ago there were audition tapes on vimeo for role of Calvin Bunker's wife and the scenes actresses taped showed Bunker will have romance with his brother wife. But I guess Lili and Tom would like to Rebecca have love affair with Kurt, as they are in relationship in real life.
End of Spoiler.
Lol, I was only joking about before. But damn, why didn't you bring those videos over when they were about?? Nice spoiler :))
ReplyDeleteIf Rebecca gets killed with all This character development and then just kill her off i am so done with This show
ReplyDeleteAnother reason if Rebecca dies I am done with the show not to mention there will only be 1 freaking regular female castmember left. That would also beca disgrace. Nobody wants to watch a sausage fest
ReplyDelete
