  1. Helly yeah we are finally going to see the Canary cry in action

    ReplyDelete
  2. CANARY CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hate that it's tech instead of superpower, but still SO FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Ugh, of course. They're going to justify his behavior shift with brainwashing. If I roll my eyes any harder I'm going to give myself a headache.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Canary Cry! My inner child is rolling around on the floor flailing. My adult self isn't do much better tbh. Looks intense.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The Canary Cry is...interesting. Hopefully Diggle's got some earplugs in.

The mind control angle is disappointing. This whole League storyline is a mess.

    ReplyDelete
  6. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS CANARY CRY OMG

    ReplyDelete
  7. Wohooo! Canary Cry!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. It would've worked better if they'd gone after Nyssa right after she left, instead of sending Oliver after her for dramatic effect however many weeks later. She's not walking around calling herself "heir" anymore, last time she mentioned she was the daughter of the Demon.

I suppose that could change in the next ep, it's just kind of a weak way to pit brainwashed Oliver against his friends in SC.

    ReplyDelete
  9. CANARY CRY!!!! OMG! SO EXCITED FOR LAUREL'S STORYLINE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. She actually screams. I was thinking she had to just press a button on the device and it does the job but this is better.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The cry shouldn't affect Diggle as he is standing behind Laurel, that is at least how it works in the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Love the Canary Cry and Laurel's pose. LOOKS POWERFUL! #GimmeMore
I think people should relax from that mind manipulation theories. Oliver is just human and works his way through this. Seems like he spent some time alone in a dungeon to break his spirit.
Should be interesting. I'm even more intrigued that this the 2nd week we didn't get a synopsis.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I can not wait for this episode, I am excited to see Oliver with the LOA it should be interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  14. What mind control? And actually the League storyline has been the best and most consistent storyline its the other stuff, Oliver/Felcitiy, Ray Palmer not being written properly for the majority of the season, Quentin being vindictive, Merlyn continuing to hang around for no logical reason, that has been sort of a mess.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nice hyperbole there. How about watching the episode instead of going by mashed up clips.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm not sure that it is, at least I hope its f*cking not, for if it is my and your eyes will me mates on the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I hope the cry is better then that, I really want it to be good.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Justin. Welcome to the internet. Based on your post, I feel I should probably clear something up for you.

You see, in the comments section of an episode promo, people watch the promo and then they speculate on the upcoming episode based on what they see in the clip.

    ReplyDelete
  19. AL Sah-him :/

And did Nyssa just slay the other Lance daughter? Lol.

The Canary Cry looks effective and intense. Love Laurel's pose.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Canary cry looks interesting. I hope the brain washing thing is said in sarcasm and its not a thing. What is with AlGhul family and baths. Nyssa is talking while naked to whom? Laurel?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Also, this "brainwashing" is most likely just the League's version of Stockholm syndrome. Forget your past and only listen to your brethren, that is the League of Assassins.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah I'm not convinced that's right. Seems at odds with Ra's and his love of wanting to have the perfect son. Mean while I'd never doubt he'd consider it, the man prefers co-opting people like Oliver to his side willing so I'm not buying it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think its a Sarcastic remark by Felicity. aka her Hottub quip.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Cry! Yes. So that's awesome. No way Oliver is brainwashed. No one else in the league has ever been and Ra's wants Oliver to coming willingly, if he wanted to brainwash him he would've done it months ago. Instead he killed countless men and nearly Thea to force Oliver's hand. Much more likely that's the team's justification of Oliver's new behaviour.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I truly hope he's not brainwashed cause I have a horrible feeling they would use felicity to snap him out of it and I can't stand anymore of this olicity crap and don't want to throw my remote through my TV screen

    ReplyDelete
  26. I generally dont mind the Olicity thing. ITs not what I watch the Arrow for but its nice that its not ALL doom and gloom for Oliver occasionally.

I think his best male/female relationship in the show is with Thea. It started out rough, went to overprotective brother mode, cooled off, warmed up again, helped her out with the Malcolm thing. ALWAYS put her first

Its what most brothers do for their sisters

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just a note. How exactly did Oliver lose ALL his money? I understand there was a hostile takeover by Palmer Tech, but I assume they had other assets.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Of course it is. You know how Felicity speaks. Sarcastic or Babble. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Exactly. R'as wants a willing Heir .. not someone he has to poke and prod like a cattle to do something. Oliver will do what he can to avoid killing any of his friends, and im guessing he wants to get in an out of Starling city quickly.

Obviously Nyssa will be the one to eventually take his place IMO. The show is so angling for that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. think its more "flippant" but her saying "LOA voodoo" , flippantly, doesn't mean its not true. just like calling the pit "magic hot tub" doesn't mean it didn't exist.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Either that or she'll fully break ties with Ra's and go to war against him. I believe the latter will happen, what with him sending Al Sahim to kill her.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Laurel continues her transformation into a meltalhead, and I'm happy.

THE BLACK CANARY DOESN'T SMILE, HE LIPS ARE BLACK, SHE WILL KICK YOUR ASS WITH HER FISTS AND SHE'LL SCREAM UNTIL YOUR HEAD EXPLODES *metal riff*

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think Oliver lost most of his money in season 2 by Rochev's fault, the only thing Ray took was his job.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The Canary Cry!!! Ah, I wish it was Wednesday already! I love this show <3

    ReplyDelete
  35. Guys he's not brainwashed; he'll be helping Barry in a couple of weeks. Unless it's a one episode thing, I really think he's playing a role.

    ReplyDelete
  36. so the canary cry is activated by Laurel actually hissing like a fury? That's kind of silly, isn't it? Anyway, I'm not extremly excited about the next episode. I hardly doubt Diggle or Nyssa will die. Most interesting question is how/if Thea changed. So far it didn't seem like it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think it's kind of ridicolous. Yes, it's called the canary cry, but it's just a piece of tech. Activating it by screaming seems forced. Why would Cisco built it like that?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I hope its not brainwash or lose of Oliver's memories. I kinda hope for Oliver to act the way Ra's wants him but its all just a facade. And killing Nyssa will provide him Ra's trust.

I hope someone dies next ep, and better not Diggle !

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thea is gonna suit up in 3x21.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Was that Thea in that last scene in NZ promo. She is suiting up already?

    ReplyDelete
  41. It is Thea right. I thought it was Thea. Damn that was soon.

    ReplyDelete
  42. No problem Koky. :D

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm really pissed off with how they handled the whole Oliver vs Nyssa and Malcolm vs Nyssa fights. I mean, Nyssa is this woman who has been trained to be an assassin /literally/ all of her life (we saw her take down a guy when she was 12) and in comes Oliver and Malcolm and not once in their fights with her do the writers show her to be able to defeat either one of them. And now here we go again! Maybe I could stomach Malcolm being better but definitely not Oliver. I don't know. It just really pisses me off that apparently only a guy can take down Oliver even though they have this character that for all intents and purposes should be able to run circles around him. Whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Absolutely! He sacrifices himself for Thea then she "turns" on him to defend those he left behind? LOVE IT!

    ReplyDelete
  45. All Hail .... Al Sah-Him, .... Wahreeth al Ghul .... Heir to the Demon ....

    ReplyDelete
  46. Diggle's Angels. I like that very much. Add Thea to the mix. It was her in that final scene.

    ReplyDelete
  47. He definitely is not going to kill anyone. But I have a bad feeling he might stab Diggle for appearance sake maybe??

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think Nyssa's last left loyalty to her father will be done with this episode. I can foresee a Nyssa/Oliver team up in the future to bring down Ra's.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nope. This show is still on CW not on cable. Not happening.

    ReplyDelete
  50. SPOILERY PROMOS!

WOW! Thea saves the day! Bring it ON! Love those New Zealand people! Great promo!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I hope your wrong cause it would be so awesome to see Stephen Amell playing EVIL and showing us exactly how amazing his range as a actor truly is !!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Well, it needs to be activated somehow... This way it can be used while in battle without the need of freeing one hand to do it...

    ReplyDelete
  53. My baby has finally gotten her cry...bring it on!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think the most we will get is next episode.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Still hoping you are wrong. ;)
There is that 'plane' scene wih Ra's, Nyssa, and Al Sah-Him / Wahreeth

    ReplyDelete
  56. How could he play Damien if he they were casting for the role? o.O

    ReplyDelete
  57. Maybe just the way Roy was stabbed! So he would not kill him.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I never heard about any castings calls for the role ( link ? ) I just read about a mysterious new character / villain for season four with the code name 'Damien Dark'.

    ReplyDelete
  59. That's what I was thinking. Or remember the magical chock hold he has.

    ReplyDelete
  60. TvLine announced it in one of the Ask Ausiello's about a month ago or month and a half ago.

    ReplyDelete
  61. ;) I always like your theories even though I don't agree with most of them LOL

    ReplyDelete
  62. Ohh the one Shado's dad used first on him. Nice one as well. But still think Ra's wants a bit more blood.

    ReplyDelete
  63. No. The finale is My Name is Oliver Queen, and Arrow has no history of doing things like that. Nor should it to me, this is a hero's journey. While rifle with conflict and pain it does not lead to the corruption of Oliver.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Malcolm's trained just as long if slightly less and is a man. He automatically has a size and strength advantage. Welcome to the world of comic book training where men like Oliver and Bruce Wayne can through long (and yet shorter) training and instincts (which seems to be a lot of why Oliver is so good) complete with men like Ra's al Ghul who has lived for centuries.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I can see that happening but I don't think I will survive it. I will feel like I'm the one getting stabbed.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm not sure he actually IS brainwashed, but it seems like he's at the very least pretending to be, with all this talk of "transformation" and Oliver being next week's "Villain of the Week" per Marc Guggenheim.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I'm betting on Nyssa fighting againstRa's and working with Oliver (once Al Sahim is gone), Thea, Malcolm and the team against Ra's al Ghul in the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'd say he's too stubborn.

    ReplyDelete
  69. No, not because Felicity says it, because of how many people in that clip said that Oliver isn't himself anymore (which includes Diggle and Nyssa), and the fact that Oliver's next week's villain of the week (per the EP). If he isn't actually brainwashed, then he's pretending to be brainwashed and...I just wish they hadn't gone that way.

And we'll have to agree to disagree about the LoA. That storyline (which hinged on Thea being drugged to kill Sara because of some idiotic idea had that Oliver could beat Ra's in a duel), and the stupid prophecy that because Oliver didn't die (because Ra's stupidly stabbed him in a non-lethal place) he has to become the next heir and Ra's ruins his life to make sure that happens despite Oliver NOT wanting to do it (seems like the head of your evil organization should actually want to be head of an evil organization, IMO), it's all a stupid mess to me.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Heir! And it's Wareeth.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Right that was about the character not that they are casting him yet.
He likely won't be cast until July just before they go back to work .... unless he's appearing in the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think it's her way of explaining what happened to Oliver, but she wasn't the only one who said that Oliver wasn't himself anymore, so I think it might be a thing.

Or at least Oliver's pretending it's a thing.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Damn close captioning. They have it listed as Wahreeth.

    ReplyDelete
  74. He is supposed to, that is why he was announced so early. I assume if he appears he will be revealed by the end of the month.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks for explaining. I hope they throw in a throw away explanation, since Cisco didn't say anything about how it worked on her appearance on The Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  76. True .... but doesn't Oliver go 'evil' for a time in the comics ?

    ReplyDelete
  77. I really don't understand their fascination with the letter H!!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Marc G likes to talk it up, but sometimes he is off base

    ReplyDelete
  79. Just missing the Aisian promo and then we have them all I think. Seems to be a Diggle/Oliver centric episode (he'll never kill his brother) and the new Team Arrow. Only 3 episodes left. That been said there have been some misses this season so I do hope everyone has moved passed working out who they are and it's a mentally and physically strong Team next season that are done making stupid decisions and with the crying.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I really hope you're right. Because if he is brainwashed I will be really sad.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I really hope that Oliver is playing Ra's and he's not brainwashed. And Thea?!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Does anyone know what Felicity actually says about Oliver being under some kind of mind control in the extended promo? I watched it at least 5 times and I know most of what she says, I just can't figure out the very last word.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Next week can't come quick enough 😬

    ReplyDelete
  84. She says that he's "under some kind of League mind voodoo."

    ReplyDelete
  85. I think he's actually going to maim Diggle. I think the "irreversible damage" in Oliver and Diggle's relationship might actually be physical. Especially since DR mentioned that he was getting fitted for something, and he's repeatedly said that Diggle's not going to be a masked crimefighter (although he could be trolling to throw people off the scent). Maybe the thing he's getting fitted for is some kind of prosthetic (that will be tech-y and cool) or something of the like for whatever Oliver does to him?

    ReplyDelete
  86. jumping up and down in glee.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh I will be so sad if Oliver becomes the reason for Diggle to be handicapped. Thank God we have STAR labs who can come up with outrageous prosthetics if that is the case. My Quiggle babies.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I'm pretty sure it definitely sounded lik Thea, no doubt about that. I just couldn't see at all what was shown while she said that, my damn crappy eyes... xD

    ReplyDelete
  89. I am sure Oliver is going to be all "I am league" thing next week because what else is he supposed to do? My belief is he has some plan going on. All I want is it not to be literal mind control. We had that enough with Thea.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I didn't expect her out with bow and arrow until season end. This is really cool if it is Thea.

    ReplyDelete
  91. What else could create an irreparable damage between these two. UNless Oliver goes after Lyla.

    ReplyDelete
  92. finally and this time no one can complain about some "lack of experience". She was trained over the course of season 3 by one of the best fighters on the show AND had some archery experience beforehand.

Can't wait to see her in action

    ReplyDelete
  93. Would be interesting to see Diggle become Arrows version of Cyborg

    ReplyDelete
  94. that might prove my theory that he is Felicity's dad and that when Oliver finally "comes back" she will be gone, whisked away by her father.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Al Sah-him
    Taer Al Sahfar
    Wareeth

Is there a sale for letter h?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Add some lazarus pit extreme reactions to it. This is going to be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hmmm doubt it. Don't know how much U are into spoilery pics but some bts pics pretty much cancel out Ur theory.
As for Damien I think they will go for someone younger so he would match up Oliver. I assume Fel's dad will be a scientist in HIVE but not the freaking leader.

    ReplyDelete
  98. right, but DD is immortal (in the comics) so being "young" looking doesn't mean much.

no I haven't seen pics which ones are you referring to?

    ReplyDelete
  99. true, it is rather convenient, but in my opinion it looks silly for a non-superpower. Also, I'm very disappointed how they handled the creation on Flash. Laurel just told Cisco to modify it - way too unspecific, she should have at least some part in it.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Ohh I didn't know DD was immortal. Nice twist.

MAJOR SPOILER ALARM TALKING ABOUT SOME BTS FROM THE ARROW FINALE
Some accidntly found himself on a location where an Arrow scene has being filming, he took some pic and posted them online. The scene featured Oliver driving into the sunset with Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yeah, it could be some greedy promo trick again. Although, the New Zealand promo's are pretty much the coolest and most upfront promo's I think.

But it would totally be cool if it's really Thea so early, it does give a lot of otpions and potential for her again. Though, I do wonder... Who could she be protecting from Oliver? I was thinking Diggle somehow, with the plot of the episode and saying him and all, and Malcolm has shown again that he's pretty selfish. But she doesn't really know Diggle that well either, so agh, I don't know xD

    ReplyDelete
  102. scratch Malcolm from that list, no matter how much Oliver and some others are willing to forgive, no way Laurel or Nyssa will accept him in any shape or form in a teamup.

With Laurel it's emotional, with Nyssa it's because of her code

    ReplyDelete
  103. I wonder if it's possible Ray & Felicity will end up working things out by the season finale.
( it wouldn't' be the first time in the history of the world a couple broke up over someone else but then ended up getting back together for one reason or another )

    ReplyDelete
  104. If he's pretending and he's got some kind of plan going, then I'm okay with that. If he's not pretending (and I'm really scared that he isn't, because I really think the "you were the first person I could see as a person" nugget Oliver dropped to Felicity is going to come back into play next ep), well...I'll be annoyed with that.

    ReplyDelete
  105. No, Marc Guggenheim said in an interview yesterday that we've seen the end of Ray and Felicity's romance - they're not going to do an on again/off again thing with them.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Maybe the mind controls herbs?

    ReplyDelete
  107. I don't think an explanation will be made because that's how Sara's device worked too.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I will not survive it. I'm still mad that Oliver shoved Dig in 3x19 and now I have to watch him stab his brother?!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. I hope not. Till I did not watch the promo I was satisfied with the fact that she will put on the costume only in the finale. But after this promo I need to see her out there next episode. I think it could be Diggle or Malcolm who she is trying to save. I need next weeks episode here now. I know it most probably will be a small scene for Thea in costume as it a Laurel and Nyssa episode. Ep.22 is said to be the Thea episode with Roy coming back.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Wouldn't that be something.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Oliver might not have a choice babe.

    ReplyDelete
  112. In a season where half the cast has acted, at one time or another, in inexplicable out of character ways it wouldn't surprise me at all.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I don't know why but that made me laugh. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I know why it did: Batman Begins plot twist :P

    ReplyDelete
  115. Of course it won't affect the guy, he's used to hear Oliver nagging on and on while flirting with Felicity. The man can take annoying sounds ;)

    ReplyDelete
  116. Ha! Yeah, there's that. I for one will be happy when we can move past the season three Batman-ification of Arrow. It had its moments but this show has drifted too far from its core.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Like I didn't hate that storyline enough.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I don't disagree here, it's been a very Batman-esque season. Wich isn't really a bad thing. For the first time we actually got a live-action version of the Lazarus Pit (still not cool with the whole ressurection thing but I'll just embrace it while I'm at it) so this is the closest we got to a "real" live action version of Batman (not saying that the Burton-Nolan-Schumacher movies weren't "Batman enough" but they all felt less Batman-y than this season of Arrow does).

But it appears like we were always going more into the Batman direction ("We adapted the realism of the Dark Knight Trilogy" "Malcolm Merlyn is our alternate version of Bruce Wayne only that in this version he embraced his murderous nature" and yadayada)

It is certainly a different show than it was 2 seasons ago. I enjoyed season 1 the most for not going too overboard on the fantasy aspect. It was a classic action heavy season with a rock solid plot. Season 2 was a bit...ummm....dull but still fun and this one is just completely whacky.

I enjoyed last nights episode for what it was (mostly because I didn't watch live and ignored the fandom, actually just watched 2 hours ago) but if I could choose between THIS and season 1 I'd always take season 1

    ReplyDelete
  119. Exactly! I need to see it now too! And if they did do it as a trick, I guess we can both be pissed about it, lol.

And even a small scene I would be totally satisfied with, although her protecting Diggle would be so much more awesome than Malcolm. And it would then only make 22 even more promising and hopefully awesome, if she's already been in costume.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Brute strength does not equate certain win. Especially in these kinds of battles that Arrow shows. The fights are more about skill and acrobatics than landing a strong hook to the jaw. But, yeah, you are right. This is basically a comic book world and I shouldn't expect anything different. Still, though, I would have liked for the writers to actually write Nyssa as someone worthy of the title Heir to the Demon.

    ReplyDelete
  121. In and of itself, all the Batman related stuff is cool to see. Honestly, I'm surprised Arrow has been able to go this deep with it. I just don't believe that co-opting another franchise is good creatively or for the identity of the show. Arrow should be Arrow and that's my main problem in season three. Arrow isn't nearly as Arrow-like as it should be.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Same, I never thought that DC would allow them to dig this deep but they seem to have managed to find loopholes to make that happen (tease Ra's until DC had no other choice but to permit them to use him).

And I absoltely agree, Arrow is pretty identity free and is heavily removed from the Green Arrow franchise as it stands (wich is why I'm in constant fear for Merlyns life, dude might be my favourite character and would never die in the comics....but here? All bets are off)

But if I want something that is actually surprisingly loyal to golden age Green Arrow I just rewatch Smallville season 6-10. I'm still quite convinced that Justin Hartley was a better Oliver Queen/Green Arrow than Amell (who might be more dedicated but is seemingly given less GA-esque direction....plus Hartley is sadly just the better actor) and the writing for the characters storylines were actually spot-on and unique.
It's weird that a show about Superman gave the character better exposure than a show actually about the character but I think we should all opt to enjoy it for what it is: TVD without vampires but bow&arrow

    ReplyDelete
  123. I agree with everything here except Hartley. I've seen plenty of that guy (Smallville, Revenge, Emily Owens, Castle & even a few minutes on some soap opera) and in every instance that guy puts me to sleep. He's a wood plank.

As for Merlyn, my main fear is that Arrow has run out of interesting stuff for him to do.

    ReplyDelete
  124. With Nyssa it's emotional too, Sara.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Putting to sleep isn't exactly bad acting like "always talking in a monotone voice" and "staying in one emotional category while switiching is needed". Hartley actually got a few more emotions out of the character. He'll never win an oscar or anything but as things stand Amells performance really isn't winning (for me)

True, they wrote him into a corner. He can't really go back to being a villain and I'm not sure he's ready for being an anti-hero. If anything he'll die motivating Thea...wich i don't want. Because as things stand:he's the most badass Arrow character (at last to me, not emotionally dependant on other characters, badass fight moves, dark speeches and the best/worst....I can't decide...actor on the show behind him)

    ReplyDelete
  126. of course it is but Laurel will be soley emotional wich is easy to exploit for someone like Merlyn. Nyssa is emotionally compromised and made an oath to avenge Saras death, Merlyn wanting to buddy up with her will never be in the cards given that oath. Even when she would actually need him.

    ReplyDelete
  127. If you're an actor and you completely fail to hold the attention of your audience (a.k.a. me) then you're not doing your job well. You are bad. I'm not comparing Hartley to Amell here. Amell is no award winner either. This judgment is completely on his own merit of which I believe he has very little as an actor. Regardless of what role Hartley is playing, I never see an actual character but only "Justin Hartley reciting lines from a script."

If they keep Malcolm around, I hope it's not simply to service the arcs of other characters. I understand that the remainder of the season for him will be about Thea but if he's still here next season I hope they'll find a way to give Malcolm his own story again.

    ReplyDelete
  128. No it didn't. She just threw it on the ground, and everyone around was affected by it. If this one has some kind of rule where people behind her don't get a sonic blast to the ears, they need to explain that.

  129. I think Ra's wanting a voluntary heir went out the window the second he had to resort to exposing Oliver's alter ego, framing him for crimes he didn't commit, and killing the people he loves to agree to become the heir. I'd call shenanigans if it was just basic torture to get him to break, I think it'd take longer than three weeks, but if they're drugging him somehow, there's not much he can do about that.

I hope he's just keeping up appearances.

    ReplyDelete
  130. oh yeah, I knew about that. but whose to says it not someone dream.

    ReplyDelete
  131. One drug event for Thea was more than enough. I can't handle another mind control arc.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Arrow loves to tease and I think they won't do this stuff after that blow out in last years finale and Oliver's "fake" The Woman I Love.
But who knows. Maybe the car blows up. ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  133. I'm not entirely disagreeing but I've grown rather fond of a few of his roles (Oliver and Patrick on Revenge, haven't seen him on anything else but that SyFy disaster movie with Brittany Murphy...and that one was....okay for what it was)

Yep, he should get his own arc and motivation, I don't know if they'll keep the LoA until season 4 but if he makes it to s4 he should totally go up against the other six of the Seven Men of Death (Ra's former elite assassin troup wich Merlyn led) or deal with some issue of his past...wich he should have enough of

    ReplyDelete
  134. I'm hoping that after season three the League of Assassins' role on Arrow is minimal. I'd personally like to see an arc where Merlyn tries to move out from under the shadows of his past.

    ReplyDelete
  135. so you think they are going to go through with it. that they really are "riding off"?

funny enough I said something similar in another poster about this scene. though I was a bit kinder with "car wreck"

    ReplyDelete
  136. Sara was never affected by it. Nor was Ollie when she saved his butt back in "Identity"/"Broken Dolls".

    ReplyDelete
  137. Arrow usually ends it's seasons on a positive note. I see this happen and the next closing scene to feature Sandra nad son running from someone into Starling.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Am I the only one that is hoping we get to see Oliver in the LOA for a while or at least longer than one episode? I don't want them to do the whole Felicity comes into the picture to try and get him back and poof Oliver is back and out of the LOA that would be such a disappointment.

    ReplyDelete
  139. kind of something that will be hard for him, how can you escape the responsibility of having murdered 500+ people including your own son?
Not even your own guilt (wich we haven't seen so far...so it could potentially be a great storyline) but also everybody elses hate against you?

    ReplyDelete
  140. Well he's not the original. But it still makes no sense.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Well people have only been different (and for everyone that's debatable at best- and that's always debatable about characters) after grief and loss, and it still would make the last three episodes pointless for Ra's al Ghul

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yeah, or he's actually an impostor running the League while the "real" Ra`s is running everything from the shadows (could be someone we already met, like Walter. How else could Ra's have had this high interest in Oliver before even meeting him?)

    ReplyDelete
  143. I'm not sure they are going to bring son into it this early but that does make sense. hmmm, interesting idea.

    ReplyDelete
  144. He's the Magician, after all. He's not going to go good guy on us. He'll do it in a very self-centered Malcolm way. I'd laugh my ass off if he got himself a bulletproof new identity so he could walk around in public and the cops couldn't touch him.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I'm so desperate for them to do so. That is really a rich story and has a lot of potential.
She could be running from Damien or HIVE. But we'll see. I think 4b is the latest we'll have to wait for it.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Let's file that under theory. He's heard of his work and exploits, but he's only been interested in him as heir, after he protected Makcolm and Thea, and fought and suffered the fight.

    ReplyDelete
  147. That I'm not sure of, currently even hard-core Merlyn haters categorize him as anti-hero...wich isn't exactly fitting the term because an anti hero is a hero with cruel methods but a non-self centered motivation wich...doesen't fit him.

lol I don't think that's neccessary with the SCPD, didn't he casually meet Oliver in the middle of starling in one episode?

    ReplyDelete
  148. I agree with you. I don't categorize him as an anti-hero either. That's why I said he's not likely to go good guy on us. Anyway, the identity thing isn't necessary for the SCPD but it would be a very amusing Malcolm-esque 'screw you' which I would enjoy seeing purely for selfish reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'm a huge Olicity shipper, but a longer LoA run would be nice. But it's save to assume it will be over in the season finale, so maybe two and a half episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  150. It would be really villainous if Malcolm got himself a new identity, walked into Lances office and told him that he had Sara killed, not giving Lance the chance to arrest him because of the identity thing.

Oh but I'd enjoy a scene featuring a rookie cop eager to arrest Malcolm and him being like "Nah-uh, I'm not Malcolm Merlyn, my name is Arnold-Christoph Schwarzenwaltz" with an austrian accent

    ReplyDelete
  151. Anything along those lines would be gold. I want to see the old Malcolm swagger back.

    ReplyDelete
  152. We never saw how Oliver reacted to it in Broken Dolls, because the camera didn't pan over to him until after the noise had stopped. In Crucible, Sara threw it straight on the ground and it didn't do anything to Oliver, but he pointed at his ear, so I figured he had ear plugs in.

    ReplyDelete
  153. he did carry himself different in season 1/2, true that. Always a real moustache twirling baddie, the ham, the smirks...yeah I miss that.

Now he's in full daddy/mentor mode to Thea/Oilver, wich I don't mind but it's really not as good as his gif-able bad guy scenes

    ReplyDelete
  154. I haven't enjoyed this season, but i think these few episodes will change that.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I believe it'll be a thing for the next two episodes a part of the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Well I've never had a problem training wise with anyone, but I guess some people have and do.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I hope you are right about this!

    ReplyDelete
  158. To each their own, but I didn't think he has ear plugs in.

    ReplyDelete
  159. The last episode is called "My Name is Oliver Queen", don't worry he'll be back.

    ReplyDelete
  160. some did, I remember people screaming "How does Thea know how to beat these two ninjas" and "Laurel isn't as experienced enough, I'll quit this show because she suxxxxx" (most notably by users on this site....wich ironically weren't me)

    ReplyDelete
  161. This looks great! I'm not sure what's worse, that Ra's is apparently sending someone to kill his daughter or that his daughter is well aware that he will. As for the Canary Cry, it looks to me like Laurel is just screaming (like in frustration/anger whatever) while its going off.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Yeah, maybe. Either way, I'll still be really sad if he really does turn bad and he's not just playing the part, biding his time. At first, I kinda liked the idea of him joining the LoA, but now I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Can't seem to find the press release/synopsis for 3.21... Can someone link me to it?...

  168. No way am I looking at these. Sometimes I really do love my willpower. = D

    ReplyDelete
  169. In regards to Arrow or The Flash I say f*ck willpower.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Shrugs. Not my bag. I don't do foreign promos. Doesn't matter what show it is.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Didn’t watch the Asia promo, yay me.

    ReplyDelete
  172. i watched. there's nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Good for U. A small spoiler there. Be strong ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  174. Sorry, I didn't see this! The interview is here:

    http://collider.com/arrow-season-3-marc-guggenheim-interview/

    Quote:

So, where do Felicity and Ray Palmer go from here?

GUGGENHEIM: They’re pretty well and truly kiboshed. They do have a very meaningful exchange in Episode 322. But, we’re not going to do an off-again, on-again, off-again thing with them. Romantically, this is where we leave them. When I was watching their scene in 322, I had to remind myself that they broke up. Regardless of who you ‘ship, and whatever people’s feelings are about Ray and Felicity, there’s a lot of chemistry between Brandon [Routh] and Emily [Bett Rickards]. Even when they’re broken up, you feel their chemistry. It’s just the way those actors are in a scene together.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Thank u thank u. I'm hanging in there lol

    ReplyDelete
  176. Even though I don't want to see anything. I know some spoilers but I don't want to see them before the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  177. I've hated that sl since day 1 and seeing him in that costume breaks my heart :(

    ReplyDelete
  178. At first, I thought it be an interesting twist; now not so much. Especially if he's brainwashed or under some League mind voodoo, and not just playing the part.

    ReplyDelete
  179. I know I've said this, but I really hope Oliver isn't actually brainwashed or under some sort of voodoo.

    ReplyDelete
  180. If he's fooling Ra's it would make me feel a lot better but still the sight of Oliver in that suit makes my heart drop.

    ReplyDelete
  181. I'm still sure Oliver will be pretending to have been brainwashed by Ra's. Ra's will send him to kill Nyssa and he will ask her to marry him in order for her to survive long enough

Oliver will try to destroy the LoA and Ra's from the inside out.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Oliver repeatedly beating Nyssa when they fight is so ridiculous. She was able to beat Merlyn easily, something that Oliver has always had trouble doing, and trained for her whole life probably with her father. That is so unrealistic to me.

    ReplyDelete
  183. THAT'S what Al Sah-Him has been saying in that Canadian promo?! WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  184. that would be INSANE!!!!!!! Angel did with Angel LOL so it IS possible

    ReplyDelete
  185. that would totally make sense for the second marriage happening.
