Thanks to Cristy Alanis & Lilah for the heads up.
- While you might have already glimpsed the steamy Oliver/Felicity sex scene in the promos, know that there’s still a surprise in store next week.
- While Ollie is all for using the Lazarus Pit to save Thea’s life, Malcolm has a very surprising stand about the death-defying “magic hot tub” (as Felicity dubs it) and for good reason: The aftereffects ain’t pretty.
- Someone says, “I love you all the more for it.”
- That mysterious shot of a Canary-like figure in the promo? It’s not in the episode.
- Fans of action/stunt sequences, there’s a neat one involving Oliver and a car in the flashbacks.

Sounds intense.
ReplyDeleteI need this episode in my life.
ReplyDeleteThis is really starting to sound like Ra's actually kinda ships Olicity, which is ... good? If he does, he and Diggle are going to have to wrestle it out for biggest on-show shipper. Ra's is, well, Ra's, but Diggle is long-term and dedicated, and has arm muscles like boulders. That's the kind of fan war I want to see!
ReplyDeletethere a interview from greenarrowtv that confirm deathstroke and amanda waller is NOT off the table
ReplyDeleteJust the thought of Ra's shipping Olicity is hilarious but adorable, hahaha.
ReplyDeleteAmanda Waller doesn't surprise me. It's pre-New 52 vs New 52 versions of the character. The only reason why I think Deadshot is off the table because of the "radical" race change and how Warner Brothers want THAT to be their version of the character moving forward. If TAS-M 2 had been a success, that version of Electro would have continued in the comics too.
ReplyDeleteWith Deathstroke....while they say he's not off the tables, I just don't see the character returning anyways. Especially after Manu basically blasted the writers.
- Plz stop with the devoted father stuff with Malcolm!
ReplyDelete- Diggle and Maseo? Interesting!
- Oliver's break down is coming. I knew all season it was coming but it will destroy me when I see it.
- SO EXCITED FOR FELICITY/RA'S SCENE! Not so excited about him pushing her to admit her feelings but I promised myself I'll wait until I see the episode.
- Oliver opening up to Felicity about his past *fangirls*. What if he tells her about 3x14?!
- That Oliver/Dig goodbye will destroy me just like all their scenes.
- I have no idea who's going to say that and I don't want to know actually.
- So Sara's appearance was just a trolling from the CW? ok lol
- An awesome action/stunt scene? I'm SO ready.
WHY ISN'T IT WEDNESDAY ALREADY????
What did Manu say?
ReplyDeleteI REALLY want to see how great of an actor Stephen is and that will be tested when he shows his emotions and humility. Perhaps that will be the episode.
ReplyDeletehttp://themusic.com.au/news/all/2015/04/04/new-zealand-arrow-star-manu-bennett-unhappy-with-departure-from-show/
ReplyDeleteI already think he's a great good actor. He kills his emotional scenes especially this season because Oliver is more vulnerable and more open and honest about his feelings. The scene when he told Thea he's the Arrow for example is one of my favourites. He was afraid he'll lose her because of his lies, ashamed of what she might think of him and overwhelmed, happy and relieved when she hugged him.
ReplyDeleteOk, I didn't click the link to read the whole thing. Should i?? I'm content with these right here. Ok let's see..
ReplyDelete-GOOD! I'm glad the Canary woman isn't in the episode, I was tired of trying to figure out who that was.
-We already know about the Pit's effects, so no tease there.
- "I love you all the more for it." Pleaseeeee let it be Felicity.
-I love the action stunts. Bring it.
You can see the rest. The ones you saw are the most spoilery imo.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Idk if I want to. LoI ok Brb.
ReplyDeleteWell he's not entirely wrong but he shouldn't have been so blunt.
ReplyDeleteI remember reading somewhere that Marc has said that Manu has voiced his feelings to writers before. Its just this time that Manu has mentioned it, it was in a public setting.
ReplyDeleteI need to be watching this episode right now. I need these conversations in my life. Between Oliver and Diggle, and Oliver and Felicity, and DEFINITELY between Ra's and Felicity. That should be really intense.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW! Why can't we have a whole week of Wednesdays?
ReplyDeleteBecause then we'd have no Flash. = )
ReplyDelete"While you might have already glimpsed the steamy Oliver/Felicity sex
ReplyDeletescene in the promos, know that there’s still a surprise in store next
week."
Ra's is Felicity's Dad
Time for The Messengers Premiere. See ya later. = )
ReplyDeleteWell we can have a Tuesdays week after we finish Arrow.
ReplyDeletePlease... I'm already holding to the show by a thread... Don't cut it.
ReplyDeleteare you hating it that much as of late?
ReplyDeleteIt's not actually Felicity he sleeps with but Ra's who drugged Oliver to see Felicity.
ReplyDeleteRa's banging Oliver.....YES!
It's a mix between the show itself and how part of the fandom behaves...
ReplyDeletewowza, I applaud him for his honesty
ReplyDeleteOr .... there is this ....
ReplyDeleteIs there any hope of stopping Oliver from becoming the new Ra’s al Ghul on Arrow? — Cameron
We’ve seen him suited up in the League of Assassins garb in promos, so it’s not looking good. Suffice it to say, Team Arrow will not be happy with this decision. In fact, the logline for next week’s episode mentions that Felicity will take matters into her own hands. While that could simply explain the Olicity hookup that’s been teased in the promos, I wonder whether Oliver’s go-to IT gal might make a play to go after Ra’s herself while in Nanda Parbat. When I asked executive producer Marc Guggenheim if my theory could prove true, he simply replied: “There is a scene between Felicity and Ra’s that is one of my favorites of the series.” Make of that what you will.
Could Ra's cause Felicity to believe she's 'with' Oliver when in fact she's doing it with him instead ?
now that is what I can an initiation.
ReplyDeleteWhy not? The writing this season has been mediocre at best for Arrow...
ReplyDeleteShould people just walk around the issue? He told the writers his thoughts on the issue and they did nothing with it...
Yes, please have Diggle and Ra's fight over their favourite ship
ReplyDeleteBecause....what is this show but Olicity? A big giant nothing filled with no storylines. Olicity is life, Olicity is god
If my girl and a person named Olicity were hanging off a cliff and I had a solid grip on both I would let my girl fall to death just so I could have an even better grip on Olicity.
Also I would pull the plug on anyone in my family if Oliver/Felicity needed to charge their phone
#OlicityIsLife
ah, yes but I am great at tuning out/compartmentalizing. also, I was whole hardheartedly joking. but with the writing these days.......
ReplyDeleteand look what they gave him: basically a big f***k you.
ReplyDeleteThey don't care what others think as long as tumblr is happy
As impressed as I am by his commitment to the character and honestly, getting pissed because Deathstroke this one time wasn't portrayed as an unstoppable badass is a little bit much.
ReplyDelete"Ouch Felicity really tore up my butt last night, never had anyone do that after Slade"
ReplyDelete"Oliver....Felicity isn't a dude"
"WAIT WHAT?!"
That's so not true it hurts.
ReplyDeleteI'm just waiting to see how long before the comment gets pulled. ha!
ReplyDeleteAnd it shows in their story telling, it's abysmal!
ReplyDeleteWhen the show was announced it seems to indicate that they were stepping away from the CW formula of catering to the fangirling of love triangles and love lines. That it would be a dark show with a storyline based on action. Look where we are...
but now I have "dude looks like a lady" stuck in my head.
ReplyDeleteprove me any different, where's Manu now? Not on this show. What has Manu had for a storyline this season? A blatant one that even further showed how little the writers cared about his character.
ReplyDeleteLook, I like this show but the simple fact is that they're very aware of their giant social-media fueled fandom. It's natural for a business oriented company to give in to such demands.
Business, yes. It's not very creative.
I don't know but I'm sure some shippers had it flagged already (I would actually get that tho)
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Arrow is that no matter where you go, the topic is usually the same.
ReplyDeleteGetting tired of it.
There are things that she could have used to do it...
ReplyDeleteim so excited about this.!
ReplyDeletebut you can have a dark and action show with romance, take Daredevil for example. Do I think they went about it in a obvious way, hell yes, did I expect it because it was on the CW, again yes, do I think it completely ruined the show, not completely. I think decisions were made (you could see sign of it back in season 2) and they could have been much better thought through.
ReplyDeleteand their reaction was to write him off.
ReplyDeleteYou know, the sad part about your boss doing something wrong is that you apparently don't get to tell them on the set of Arrow.
It really seems that as long as there comes positive talk directed at them from the internet they're fine.
And while I get that (it's the quickest way of actually getting feedback) I don't think it's healthy for the end product.
Look what they did to his character, if he told them what he felt already his departure makes all the more sense
#Maconboard
ReplyDelete#damn
#youreallyletthisgettoyou
I can understand that (I have as niece who is into that aspect of the show) so I hear the real life chatter of it.
ReplyDeleteYou can
ReplyDeleteromance is neccessary, it's vital to a show. However you should never go overboard with it, the second the balance is gone the entire construct and purpose of this plot element is defeated.
Daredevil did it right, it showed parts of the romance but never over exposed it as a bigger plot than it had to be.
Arrow makes a giant deal out of it (or as the canadian promo called it: a...can't...miss...moment) and absolutely creates confusion about the nature of the plotline in the big construct.
I think at this point even Olicity shippers might be annoyed with it
It can have romance, but shouldn't be the main focus.
ReplyDeleteIf the majority of the fandom itself only cares about the romance, then it failed if the show wanted to be something else than that. Because it failed at creating a strong hold on more than just romance.
#absolutely
ReplyDelete#onlywaytocopewiththis
#ifoundoutimdatingashippertoday (this one's actually true, so it did get to me...for real)
nothing I appreciate more then a good sex toy innuendo and imagery.
ReplyDeleteThink Mac wrote the 5 second pr0n parody "The Green Boner"
How about we make the writers introduce a green-dick-shaped arrow instead of a boxing glove one? As things look now we might have better luck with achieving that than getting a well balanced arc
ReplyDeleteI totally want to shoot this now as a feature prn flick.
ReplyDeleteI guess Amell and Barrowman would be on board :P
The more I hear about the ep and these massive effects that aren't pretty of the Pit, and I can still so see them keeping anything but temporary, even though it should be just that. But seriously, I'm excited at one point for the ep, but on the other I'm not. An entire season where they had plenty of chances to make Thea evil, even if that would have been temporary, they didn't really, but now they're making it seem more and more like it's going to suddenly be the thing that totally changes her, also making the whole point of saving her soul totally void?
ReplyDeleteAnd I really wonder what's this deal with Malcolm, except if the Pit's effects are actually THAT horrible and everlasting I guess... But he always lies and is up to something, and he always chooses that above Thea.
Still think it's weird timing to have this Olicity sex-scene in the same ep as this above-mortal danger for Thea, not just for her life, but apparently her soul.
I do wonder, if DD get a second season, how they will handle the Karen relationship seeing as she was the main in the comics
ReplyDeletepotentially go down her heroin addiction arc
ReplyDeleteThat scene took central point in an episode where Lazarus Pit is being introduced for real and being USED. A resurrection is being used. And Oliver becomes Ra.
ReplyDeleteAll those things became secondary...
I am not sure it has been the main focus, the focus has been about his identity and helping his sister, but I think they implemented it the wrong way. I think its been the main focus of people of a certain age who live for that shit regardless if its in a show or not. They even have them for shows like Elementary. Its just something certain people like to do/fantasize about.
ReplyDeleteI feel like they hinted at that already when Ben mentioned her past.
ReplyDeleteBut you'd totally miss the fun of the unwanted hilarious scenes. There're two things that keep me attatched: the well done moments (potentially the scenes Kreisberg went into the room and Marc had to write something good to appear competent) and the really clumsy scenes. I like Felicity but whenever I see Oliver and her have a romantic moment I can't help but think of Kermit and Miss Piggy (I really don't know why)
ReplyDeleteSara's dead that pissed off tumblir. Ray and Felicity happened again. Oliver died. I could go on and on. Why should he have one his character is a dangerous psychopath whose hatred for Oliver is so strong that it'd be a distraction to everything else. Plus they don't owe Bennett a storyline this season. I love how you and other have deried season 3 as sucking because of Olicity. Even though they've barely been a thing all season or even had any focus on just them. Things like lack of focus, or too many characters, or plot problems are more problematic. Not one pairing that has barely had any actual focus. Jesus. This paranoia and fear is getting extreme. You want to know why I know they haven't given into tumblir and hardcore shippers, because of they did literally every second of this season would just be Oliver and Felicity being so cute that I'd vomit out of every f*cking hole in my body. So please knock it off.
ReplyDeletewe all know Barrowman would be on board.
ReplyDeletewich is why I think this will eventually have to come up in season 2. The triangle is a given. If done right we might survive it, if not...eh. We'll have to see.
ReplyDeleteHowever they handled it very well in season 1 so I'm willing to give them a sense of trust (wich I can't give Arrow since they betrayed that one a few times already)
but at least Piggy and Kermy had chemistry.
ReplyDeleteI also think it comes down to audience, one adult, one maybe not so much, and how subtle, or not, one can be with each.
ReplyDeleteI am more excited about a potential s2 of DD then the finale of Arrow.
The thing is that the show itself created and attracted that part of the fandom, they didn't pop out of no where with no reason. And now the show is a slave to it, since are a big part of the fandom, or at least they are the vocal part of the fandom.
ReplyDeleteWell at least you found out early so it can be treated before it spreads to you.
ReplyDeleteThis stuff makes me nervous... Damn it, this show is like screwing with me...
ReplyDeleteYou better make a rule about not talking about shows then, otherwise it's doomed.
ReplyDeleteI actually didn't referr to only shippers for once.
ReplyDeleteAnd look what happens in the future: Sara/Caity Lotz returns and that has been made known to fans quite a while ago. Ray and Felicity will inevitably break up and Oliver returned
All these major piss-off moments have been revised wich in return makes them even happier. Take something away to give more being the mantra there.
They don't owe him anything, they don't owe anyone anything. However we don't owe them saying that they've done a good job either.
Not a thing? Graydon, even if they're not together the ship remains a thing, the questionable scenes with them talking about their feelings, Oliver going mad over Ray and Felicity. It is there, it might not be a relationship yet but it's build up to it.
You're a clever guy, you know build up when you see it. And can you honestly tell me that you don't see these moments shoehorned in? Because frankly I doubt that you're not seeing them, you're just not bothered by them as much as I am. Wich is totally fine.
I don't claim that this season is "Olicity Galore", because what show (but TVD) is truly ship gallore. There are moments that are counted as build up, wich inevitably suggests that the romance is going to become a thing. That's obvious to anyone, even me. And I don't want this romance to hit off. Know why? Because while I like both characters individually I can't stand the sight of them rambling on about their feelings (most notably seen in 3*1 and 3*13).
It turns both characters unlikable for me, you don't feel the same. Wich I'm fine with but don't tell me that this season is not using Olicity as a major plot element for the characters (romantic scenes don't suggest the scene being positive for them, just the aknowledgement and suggestion that it's there is what makes me tick because in many scenes this aknowledgement is not needed)
I purposefully never mentioned TV, then I made the mistake of mentioning GOT to wich the classic "I like CW shows better" line came up, I knew I was doomed at that point
ReplyDeleteIt wanted the shippers attention, basically begged for it.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call them a slave because I doubt that Guggenheim doesen't want this.
I can't deny that Oliver and Felicity have chemistry, however it's not sexual. With Piggy and Kermit I always took their relationship as granted
ReplyDeletecorrection: you need the rest of the season in your life. I don't think I can survive the anxiety until episode 23 any longer. I need to know how it ends.....now
ReplyDeleteOh boy... You better let it out everything in these forums then.
ReplyDeleteI dodged a bullet with claiming that I don't watch too much TV wich...is a big fat lie but it was in order to save a relationship. Sacrifices had to me made
ReplyDeleteThere is some speculation about it already, since some people saw some of the shooting taking place. And, imo, they better not go that way...
ReplyDeleteOkay. Cool. I was just joking around because the idea of Ra's being a shipper gave me giggles - although I legitimately would kinda love to see a Diggle and Ra's fight, just for other reasons. But this seems like a perfectly reasonable reaction to a joke. So. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou snapped a little, huh?
Snapped? I reacted with sarcasm, wich will be my goto response in the future. I have plenty of terrible jokes lines up for the coming episodes so....brace yourself.
ReplyDeleteHow about a slight: "All Ra's wants is to get Thea into a pool with himself" one to start it out? ;)
any link you can direct me to? Reddit?
ReplyDeleteIt is on Arrow subreddit, has a tag for [Spoilers 3x24].
ReplyDeleteNever said it wasn't big. Oh there's definitely build up, but I don't view this as some we're screwed Arrow's completely about those two and this is like Delena stuff. Because honestly I think that's blatantly untrue and unfounded. Characters are going to have their feelings and care for others impact their decisions. It happens all the time on TV, whether it be romantic (Felicity's tirade in 3x12, familial (everything that's happening with Quentin, Thea and Malcolm and Laurel), to platonic (Roy taking the fall for Oliver), etc. but this show isn't about Oliver and Felicity. It doesn't pervade everything like say Delena does. There isn't that level of narcissism. And that's why I disagree. If it ever does happen dude I'm f*cking out of here, but I honestly don't believe it has.
ReplyDeletelink?
ReplyDeleteIt's not a 100% replica of Delena storywise, you got this the wrong way. The fandom rising up in the ships defense, the writers slowly and slowly giving in to fan demands. This is what's creepily familiar to Delena. The sad thing is: Julie acted the same way as Marc does today when asked about Delena (in Marcs case Olicity). The moments became more, the fans grew more demanding and the show (TVD) became what it is today
ReplyDeleteTVD didn't start out as the Delena show, in fact until the season 2 finale no one thought it would ever go too far. However season 3 saw a shift of the tides, when season 4 came along the transformation into the Delena beast happened.
It's fear from experience, I know the internet fandom. Hell, I'm part of it. And I know how it can affect shows. Shutting your eyes from it isn't going to help.
It isn't yet but it's a very legitimate fear of people that this show will very soon feature bad guys as the backdrop for romantic induedo.
If warranted or not remains to be seen, however the signs are there. It's up to the fandom where to take it.
not finding it
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to message it privately? Since my comment would be auto removed due to having a link.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to message it privately? Since my comment would be auto removed due to having a link..
ReplyDeleteof course :)
ReplyDeleteHow?
ReplyDeleteyou can send me a PM if you would like.
ReplyDeletedarn it disqus doesen't have a PM service, so I'll probably have to find it for myself :P
ReplyDeleteYes, rather a lot of sarcasm in a row, and I guess I'm not sure what set it off - you say "go to response," but response to what, exactly? Bad jokes? But it could be the nature of comments sections, where it's sometimes hard to discern someone's intended tone, so it's cool.
ReplyDeleteI love me some terrible jokes, though. Although Ra's isn't getting into the pool, I don't think. I'd say one I thought of, but I think it's too dirty. XD
Yeah, I was googling how to send a PM with disqus.. No luck.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.reddit.com/r/arrow/comments/32vuqi/spoilers_3x24_stephen_amell_seen_driving_porsche/
[Spoilers 3x24] Stephen Amell seen driving Porsche with "blonde girl" in front seat. Thats the title of the thread. Post it in the reddit search engine
ReplyDeletethanks...found it
ReplyDeletethanks, I guess.....I'm going to cry now
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?
ReplyDeleteYeah I don't like the potential end either, I hope it's nothing like the speculation.
ReplyDeleteoh, f*ck me if that happens..................
ReplyDeleteI think the universe would explode if something that ridiculous happened.
ReplyDeleteI actually want to kill myself right now
ReplyDeleteThese teasers at 1st made me relieved since "- Fans of action/stunt sequences, there’s a neat one involving Oliver and a car in the flashbacks.".
ReplyDeleteBut the person that was at the scene confirmed who was in the car, so that scene cannot be a flashback, unless there is a time jump in between and it becomes a flashback.
Remember that there is a wedding to come, a 1st wedding to both people in it.
ReplyDeletemaybe the car wrecks and Felicity dies.
ReplyDeletegood god....what have they done to this show?
ReplyDeleteI hope he has a poster on his wall or something. Bet he writes really awesome fanfic, and/or draws fantastic fan art. He'd be the best person to like the same ship as you, because no one would ever want to argue against him for fear of, you know, dying painfully and getting booted off a cliff or something.
ReplyDeleteI just want to see him have one of those fangirl moments, squee-ing and everything. That needs to be like a DVD extra or something - like Ra's standing outside the door and then grabbing an assassin that's passing by and being like, "OMG, Felicity finally told Oliver she loves him!!! I have to go Tweet about this" and then runs off.
they wouldn't do that, would they? I know its been not great but to do that, i mean they can't be that stupid... is the fandom butt plug that tight up their ass?
ReplyDeleteI'm giving this show until the end of the season... So like you said I will miss the fun of the unwanted hilarious scenes, but I don't think I will miss much.
ReplyDeleteI can't even appreciate the sex-toy joke...that's how disturbed I am right now
ReplyDeleteif I had known about this before....holy hell....
ReplyDelete*Shannon and Koky like this
ReplyDeleteI'm truly sorry, and with you, hopefully it will garner a chuckle later. bright side, they could just be going for a drive, maybe to the Flash wedding, and the car wrecks.
ReplyDeletefor a second i thought it said Canary CRY LOL my brain DEFINITELY wants me to have Laurel become a metahuman
ReplyDeletelet's hope for the car to crash, both falling to their death, Barry rebooting the universe and both still staying dead.
ReplyDeleteI...really don't want to watch this show anymore now, for real
oddly, I am now looking forward to see it if becomes more of a train wreck.
ReplyDeleteNo talk about a crash, just driving and sunset.
ReplyDeleteThe scene ended quite fast "Think this was the last scene of the day as they packed up pretty quickly."
Yeah, I don't even know anymore... This show has completely devolved into some sort of crappy romance. In season 1 there was crappy love triangle romance but you could tolerate it because it wasn't constantly thrown into the main plot, but now it's just too much.
ReplyDeletewake me up,pinch me. This nightmare has to end
ReplyDeleteYou know, just for the added sense of pain, I'm a masochist I guess
ReplyDeleteHow about Barry going back in time and killing the writer that started pandering to the fans.
ReplyDeleteI know its bad, but lets not start singing Green Day songs.
ReplyDeleteas am I.
ReplyDeleteGuggenheim can't die, he's immortal. Whenever he dies he comes back from the dead and writes something that starts out good, goes bad and turns into Days of Our Lives
ReplyDeleteCall me crazy but I still have faith in this show... I feel they can someone rescue it from becoming what we truly dread.
ReplyDeleteDid I just cut your lifeline to the show? :\
ReplyDeleteYou mean Felicity is actually doing it with Ra's instead in those sex scenes we saw? No, I'm like 99.99% sure that's not happening. Not from what I've heard from people who have seen screeners, and also because that seems like a bad decision for the writers all the way around - not least of all because that would be rape, which is just not a place I see them going . No, I think they're referring to the scene we saw in the Asian and Canadian promos, with Ra's and Felicity talking, which apparently helps lead to Olicity sex. Somehow.
ReplyDeleteLlke sand through the hourglass so is Marc's brain.
ReplyDelete*shudders*
ReplyDelete“Tell me, do you bleed? You will!”
how? Really, if that scene is for real. A happy drive in a car...then....
ReplyDeletelook, I found a scene of an all new Arrow episode
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jEsshy26N4
"I don't bleed, I run on shippers approval"
ReplyDeletenot yet, I need to see this trainwreck unfold. But you opened my eyes for what a shallow piece of sh*t this show and its fandom has become. I had some respect for the show and fans (even shippers) but that's....gone now
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I'll give you the hope but prepare for the worst.
ReplyDeleteI don't know man... I want to believe !
ReplyDeletehttp://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/283/235/7e3.jpg
Yeah, I will definitely have to prepare myself mentally for this.
ReplyDeletemeanwhile Guggenheim is staring at you while smoking his cigarettes
ReplyDelete* Cigars.
ReplyDeletenah, he vaps, that is what all the "epic" kids are doing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many year contracts the main cast signed, the original cast. Because some of them are stuck to this and I don't think they are very happy about it...
ReplyDeletewhy can't he just smoke gas-mask bongs like all the normal people
ReplyDeleteRickards seems to have the time of her life
ReplyDeletebecause he is special and prefers bowls anyways.
ReplyDeletehas someone said something to that affect?
ReplyDeleteShe is not part of the original cast, she was not even supposed to be in season 2 and 3, so ofc she is having the time of her life...
ReplyDeletesuch a scene kid
ReplyDeletehe's also a molly raver, but that is only on holidays.
ReplyDeleteI gotta stop now before I pack out my "I wanna know who she had to bang" comments.
ReplyDeleteDirectly, no. But from their appearances on cons and stuff like that, you can infer...
ReplyDeleteThere are two people that I don't think are happy. One you can tell directly, the other I just don't believe is happy with the direction that the character took and how slow the progression has been.
are we talking the two male leads?
ReplyDeleteif he ever took molly the show wouldn't be like this
ReplyDeleteI don't think that Amell is unhappy, the guy seems rather happy with his job.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want that; I actually like Felicity...just hate the direction her character is taken
ReplyDeleteyeah, I don't really watch con stuff, ya know life and all, so I don't know how people can gauge moods. some days people have shit days of answering the same question X times.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it went in that direction.
ReplyDeleteBut I wonder how the show would be right now. People complain about Diggle being put aside for Laurel to grow, but they forget that Laurel was part of the main cast and the space was already there for her. They had to create room for someone else, that wasn't originally planned.
I like Felicity, at least season 1 Felicity. But really dislike when people pretend like Laurel just popped out of nowhere and she is taking other characters time, when (imo) her role in season 1 suffered because some of the things that she was going to do and be for Arrow had to be shared with someone else's. But hey, that's me.
Oliver queen has always been described as a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist... Right now in the tv show he is none of that, he lost all of his money, he has been neutered by the writers to be this monogamous brooding emotionally immature child.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Amell is unhappy. The other one, yes.
ReplyDeleteit would be worse, a giant orgy/grope pit in Thea's loft..............wait, never mind.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I like Felicity but what's happening here (especially in the fandom) makes me want to throw up.
ReplyDeleteGreat to find like minded people for once :P
If I was him I would be too. go from bad dude to nanny, come on.
ReplyDeleteI think you can safely say that Arrow is being written by completely sober writers, wich is the problem
ReplyDeleteThe fandom is vicious, both here, twitter and tumblr.
ReplyDeleteOn Reddit is where it's less shippery, so I can get some fresh air from time to time.
yeah, I like her as well, was thinking a more Superman 2 move.
ReplyDeleteBad dude? I don't think we are talking about the same person then.
ReplyDeletesorry, I edited it, "bad ass"
ReplyDelete"It's not about ships, we love this show" "EEEEK OLICITY, suddenly the character I bashed is okay because its no longer in the way"
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree.
not much of a redditor, I like most people here but it's pretty obvious where allegiances are
All we need is for Oliver to come out as bi and a nymphomaniac, she can't accpet that and stops thinking about him as a walking dong.
ReplyDeleteProblem solved
my alliances are to no one save my sarcasm and unflinching ability to watch shitty TV.
ReplyDeletenot everyone manages to watch shows for enjoyment. Some just to see their favs together. Wich I get...but...it's putting the show I care about in danger
ReplyDeleteAfter Felicity sleeps with Ollie, we need to see Ra's having his ear pressed against the door and and then once Felicity leaves the room, Ra's says "Girl, tell me all about it!"
ReplyDeleteIt will be Connor.
ReplyDeleteThis season was Oliver Queen vs Arrow. Next it will be Oliver 'Arrow' Queen vs being a good father to Connor.
He missed Connor growing up a few years already, he doesn't want to miss the rest. He wants to do good by him and his mother, since he didn't in the past.
They ruined her, by forcing her character to be what she is now... Remember when she was a really charming tech geek, now she's somehow become the superhero motivational speaker. It would have been great if they had continued her roll as a support having a platonic relationship with Oliver that doesn't complicate things. Heck they could have also gave her her own side story where she helps the cities youths. They just went in such a weird direction.
ReplyDeletethink I read somewhere that Connor won't show up until end 4 start 5
ReplyDeleteReally? Hrm, I wonder what Marc thinks now after Manu spoke about it publicly then. Bet there's now bad water between the two sides.
ReplyDeleteI read that there would not be any metahuman on Arrow, yet here we are...
ReplyDelete"Arrow is grounded and realistic"
ReplyDelete"LLAAAAAAAZARUS PIT YOU GUYS"
This ^
ReplyDeleteWhile he's obviously going to put so much attention and detail to his work, I don't think I agree with going out and just calling out the writers like this. This isn't a show about Deathstroke. We saw how great of a villain Slade Wilson was for an entire season, but what happened in "The Return" made sense. He had no more powers, and he still almost beat the crap out of both Ollie and Thea. A log knocked Slade out; it's not that big of a deal, really.
which is odd, because I find the LP is still kind of grounded in reality for me because its not a magical well but a product of nature, a weird part, but still nature.
ReplyDeleteAnyone would've been knocked out cold when being hit over the head with a log; I really don't understand where Manu is coming from. He almost defeated two people by himself without his Mirakuru-based powers.
ReplyDeleteThere is a reason why I don't post here often... A few usuals just make me facepalm too much to even respond.
ReplyDeleteI sorta do, but I just don't see his point of view. It's not like Thea beat him with her own set of skills. She hit him over the head with a log. A powerless Slade would be knocked out.
ReplyDeleteI think his definition of unstoppable was "convinced of his crusade". The Slade we got was just batsh*t crazy with a motivation that screamed "I don't have time to read every script I wave through".
ReplyDeleteI get why the guy is mad, his character got f***ed
I think Stephen is a good actor, but I always like seeing just how great an actor is when it comes to a very emotional scene.
ReplyDeleteThe scene of him telling Thea he's The Arrow was a really good one; I liked how we saw a bit of relive but happiness on Ollie's face too when Thea basically told him how proud she was(Stephen's facial reaction reminded me of when Moira came clean about knowing her son's The Arrow as well).
Being batsh*t crazy or not, he was still convinced of his crusade in destroying Oliver's life and the Queen legacy.
ReplyDeleteand yet his motivation made him feel somewhat vulnurable, mentally. He was a whackjob, usually Deathstroke is cold and very clear in the head.
ReplyDeleteHowever...I've had my view of Arrow shattered enough today. See ya soon
It's shows when you are barely asked questions and when you do you can barely respond to them, because you are not given anything to work with.
ReplyDeleteyeah, that can be a problem. if it is the same person, I think he has a right to be ticked. I'm hoping (if it all doesn't go to shit at the end of this season) that his role in s4 (as has been hinted at many times) get much expanded beyond baby patrol.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they got it wrong ? I may be denial.
ReplyDeleteNot gonna happen.
ReplyDeleteThey might introduce metahuman villains, but not permanent heroes for Arrow. Metahuman villains that Arrow has to overtake make Arrow seem stronger, permanent metahuman heroes (like metahuman BC) would make Arrow seem weaker. People don't want to see a weak main character, why use Arrow if someone else can do the job better and faster?
Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteThey removed Roy, but will add Thea to the team.
ReplyDeleteThey were not able to make a role for him during this season, so I don't have my hopes up for them to be able to do it next season.
If he does not become a masked hero, then his role in the team is a support role, but there is no room for a support role anymore. They could have used him to train Laurel, he could be the trainer and tactical teacher, but nope. Now Laurel has Nyssa and Thea has Malcom and Oliver.
The only support role I can see is being the messenger between the Arrow and Suicide Squad (good luck making them show up) or whatever they put in there.
He was never truly mentally vulnerable though. He figuratively had Ollie in a vice grip. There was only one instance where he was so full of himself that Felicity was able to stick that syringe into his neck that cured him of the Mirakuru.
ReplyDeleteyeah, he is in a tough spot, I honestly thought when the started down marriage/kid they were going to write him out of the show.
ReplyDeletebut they keep saying he has "big" arc/storyline with HIVE in s4, so who know how much smoke up the ass that is. maybe he could take over ARGUS but again who knows if that is allowed anymore by Marvel.
I think he was neutered by the actor himself too, he has been quite vocal about Oliver's lady ways. He had mentioned multiple times how he doesn't like it.
ReplyDeleteReally I never heard that, when did he say this ?
ReplyDeleteAfter Roy left, I now wonder if that Arrow banner was hinting as his departure as it's very dark where Roy's standing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe? I want to say I read it on his Tumblr when I came across it so you could check there.
ReplyDeleteOne example:
ReplyDeleteQ: We’ve heard already that he has this disastrous date with Felicity. So obviously that romance is going to be on hiatus or totally kaput. Are there gonna be other ladies coming into Oliver’s life this season?
S: There’s one lady in Oliver’s life.
Q: Just one?
S: Just one.
Q: He hasn’t counted all the women on screen lately has he?
Stephen smiles shakes his head no then repeats: No. There’s one woman in Oliver’s life this year.
Q: Is that his sister?
S: No. It’s Felicity.
Q: It just seems like he’s got of course Sara and Laurel still out there and they don’t seem to have romance interests, at least not steady -
S: (interrupting) No, th..the ship has sailed on those romances. I don’t think that will ever see Oliver and Sara or Oliver and Laurel together again. I mean, they’ll be together, but just not together together. They’ll be teammates, but uhh..no we discover in the pilot the way Oliver feels about Felicity, so because of that, if we just introduce random love interests, it would kind of undersell what we do in the premiere.

Wow that was really bad, I can't believe he said that. He has effectively just closed off so many future plotlessness by dismissing every other female as a love interest besides Felicity. It literally goes against the entire core of the character. Although that was close to a year ago so hopefully some things have changed.
ReplyDeleteI think there is an interview where he says that he asked for Oliver to be less womanizing, because he didn't like it. But I can't find it, have no idea how to search for it since I don't know the specific words used. So since I can't find it, I'm starting to think that maybe I dreamt it?
ReplyDeleteIt's possible lol.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he doesn't want Oliver to be womanising because he has a wife and child in real life ? Although thats a cop out because he would still be with Felicity. I don't know, I feel like they have just made Felicity the new Lana Lang(Smallville) in the sense that they have portrayed the characters as destined to be with the main character.
