Thanks to Doc Holliday for the heads up.
So who do you think is being pulled now?
Not at all. Hearing about another character DC wants to pull from ARROW. https://t.co/TezKBG5K9y

Yep. I'd say the same.
ReplyDeleteIt will be more than one. Waller, Deathstroke, and Boomerang will probably be off limits because the movie.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering how long RAG will be available to them.
ReplyDeleteIt annoys me by this. Because it limits who can be used.
ReplyDeleteI hate this restrictions in place.
Pulling Amanda Waller and Boomrang makes sense, since they're associeated with Suicide Squad primarly.
ReplyDeleteShame the ban didn't cover just SS. Because then they could just move Deadshot into Secret Six.
Oh well..I think it's about time the show started to use more of Green Arrow's own arcs and characters. Give us Outsiders, give is Emiko, turn the centre of Starling into damn magical forest. Heck, it would be wise to push forward with more supernatural elements of DC lore. Lazarus pit was a nice start and this is something that neither Flash nor the new spin-off will touch and even in movies there will be only Justice League Dark, so there won't be much overlap.
Please let it be Waller. I can't stand that character.
ReplyDeleteNot her.
ReplyDeleteThey can't pull existing characters. This is just silly. It's not like people are going to forget they existed in the TV show. Pulling rights doesn't work retroactively, it just screws with the show's plans.
ReplyDeleteCan someone explain to me what the point of having separate universes is if characters aren't allowed to overlap?
ReplyDeleteSeriously wondering how they gonna handle the Flash situation.
ReplyDeleteDC everytime I think you can't make another stupid decision you have to go and try to prove me wrong. I hope so much this isn't true.
ReplyDeletei wouldn't be upset if she ever received a bullet to the brain. by diggle or lyla preferably.
ReplyDeleteMost probably Waller, Boomerang and maybe my baby Deathstroke. Well DC *boooo*
ReplyDeleteI assume it's Felicity! Would only make sense! #LoL
ReplyDeleteNo clue who it could be, maybe Ra's or someone?
hate Waller, Suicide Squad, ARGUS, Dig and Lyla...
ReplyDeleteOr Laurel! Would make more sense! #:P
ReplyDeleteThe more important question, is this going to happen this season or next season? Should we start watching out for characters leaving this season or for ones not coming back next season?
Maybe they are planing on a Birds of Prey Movie xD
ReplyDeleteWaller needs to go-PERIOD.One of the most useless character ever introduced on Arrow!
ReplyDeleteHahahahah! Thank G, BC has only importance in BoP and Arrowverse so with no further plans for those to come true my honeybee is safe. ^_^ :-P
ReplyDeleteI mean none of the core characters of Arrow should be in danger. They are all Arrowverse not meddling aside and beside the SS they didn't have any other important reccuring character included. So I stick with my prediction of it being Ra's
Enough is enough DC! One thing is that TV and Movie are different universes, but to pull characters from the TV show? Let them do another version of them, what's the big deal?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I don't get them.
In any case, if Waller and the suicide squad is to go I wouldn't be too sad since those storylines have never clicked for me, but it is still not cool to keep pulling characters from the TV shows. What's next? Cancelling The Flash because the movie is coming?
I thought that DC had to give approval for all characters before they started on the show. So to me, this is BS. Though I'm not opposed to them taking Waller or Boomerang. I dislike them both. I love Nyssa so I hope it's not her, unless KL will be in a DC movie.
ReplyDelete"People will get confused", sure, because we can't tell the difference between a movie and a TV show. And it could be the case if every person who watches the show also watches the movies, but I don't think that's a problem here.
ReplyDeleteThey're in a lose-lose situation. If they pull the show (assuming the ratings don't collapse, which is unlikely), they will be outrage and if they don't pull the show they'll be being hypocritical (I can't think of a better word for it) for taking some characters away and not others. They've backed themselves into a corner through their idiocy.
ReplyDeleteNo one will get confused. And if they do, it would take 30 seconds of research to see that the movies and tv shows don't take place in the same universe. It's a terrible excuse.
ReplyDeleteIn another tweet, he says that it's not Amanda Waller.
ReplyDeleteDC right now is being incredibly stupid; do they seriously watch the movie then a show and say "hey, it's another actor doing the same role! This doesn't make any sense, I'm confused!!!"? And even if that happened, do they really think that would affect their profit margin?
ReplyDeleteI think it's time for them to say "well, we screwed up" and let each universe handle their share of characters as they see it fit
ReplyDeleteThe lack of logic DC are applying here scares me.
ReplyDeleteI'd love that too, but that's clearly not happening, since it seems they plan to take another Arrow character.
ReplyDeleteRealy DC, really?. C'mon give the show a break.
ReplyDeleteThis is dumb. Having characters on a tv show only makes me want to go see the movie more. Yeah, I'd rather see the tv show character in the movie, but I can separate tv from movies and still enjoy both. All this pulling characters and making them off limits makes the tv show writers alter their plans and possibly degrades the quality of original story lines on my favorite shows, which kind of makes me NOT want to go see these movies.
ReplyDeleteJust Urhg
ReplyDeletei'm scratching my head at all of this too. The way I see it: it suggests that DC and WB are more disorganized than I originally thought. You'd think they would have all been more on the same page when characters and properties appeared on the TV shows.
ReplyDeleteAs for pulling characters? I gotta say I kind of get it. I've gone on before in comments about comic book TV shows drifting too far from canon and have been in the minority in that argument. But if you look at, its kind of indicative of this position. This is the comic book company not agreeing with the direction of some of their characters to the point where they pull the usage right of their property. Plain and simple.
And you know what? I don't blame them. They're comic book guys. I'd also be wary of having a character that is being developed for the big screen running around on a bunch of TV shows made by a network that focuses way too much on badly executed romance.
I gotta say I don't disagree.
It's really making me scared for the Flash tv show once the Flash movie starts approaching...
ReplyDeleteYour horns and tail are showing.
ReplyDeleteDid you start Daredevil?
ReplyDeleteYou're implying that I was hiding them at some point? They've always been there. Lol
ReplyDeleteIt's Arsenal. We'll likely have Roy in jail for his 'crimes' by seasons end and off the show. In the Suicide Squad Movie / it's own well see 'new' hero Red Arrow.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance I though this originally meant which Arrow character is headed to the spin-off now.
Funny enough my answer would still be Roy.
So on 'this' subject what would you think about Roy aka Arsenal aka Red Arrow joining the spin-off /"Atom" ?
Douchebag Comics strikes again. This is why Marvel is where it is. They better not touch The Flash.
ReplyDeleteThey're messing with exactly is working for them: tv. That in the name of their lame ass movies that'll never be as successful as the MCU or the Flarrow universe.
hahahha! I'm really surprised they aren't doing a G Arrow movie, with Arrow's recent success. Still I believe he will appear in The Flash or GL movie.
ReplyDeleteWith Oliver not taking the deal at the end I assumed Ra's could be a recurring character doubt they will make a clean cut with LoA. Slade is pretty much written out and defeated. Who knows who Dc is aiming at?
The tweet above is a reply to this one:

ReplyDeleteThere is only 5 more episodes this season right ?
ReplyDeleteRoy, he is the only character being capable at this moment. And if not him maybe Felicity because her relationship with Roy Palmer.
ReplyDeleteRoy or Laurel since many people hate Katie?
ReplyDeletewhat ever it is, Roy somehow will "move on".
ReplyDeleteWinners: Mom
ReplyDeleteHonorable Mention: The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy
Losers: American Crime, Elementary, Bones, Backstorm
Bones has collapsed, damn you FOX. And last week's Bang wasn't a fluke apparently, ouch! Ok for Grey's but I was hoping for a little higher, maybe it adjusts up.
mhhhhmmmm
ReplyDeleteDeathstroke, i say. Amanda Waller could also go.
ReplyDeleteSO my point is, why then separate the movies from the tv shows? what was the enefit if they're still pulling characters from the show?
They're not gonna use Barry Allen, so the morons will be saying "we have Bart Allen/Wally West so no need to pull the small tv serial".
ReplyDeleteI hate them right now... And i love DC since i was a little boy.
Ugh, this is ridiculous, if DC decided to split the universes so let it be.
ReplyDeleteWhy keep pulling characters from the show? if is not Amanda, whom else can be? I hope is not the Huntress
ok DC is starting to piss me off and it's my favorite comic universe, Marvel's starting to win
ReplyDeleteI am neutral in the comic universe wars but it does seem that Marvel has put more thought into what they are doing tv and film wise, DC is just all over the place with too much knee jerk in their actions.
ReplyDeleteDamn it DC Comics! Stop this bullshit! Arrow and The Flash are SUCH amazing and succesful shows, why screw that up just because you guys KNOW, yes I'm saying it, you guys KNOW that your movies will fall short of that success? So instead of just having some faith in it, or just sticking to the success, you're going to keep ruining the shows, so that your movies MIGHT do a little better?
ReplyDeleteIf it's seperate, what's the damn point of this? If you're already not going to do it as awesome as Marvel with letting the two things influence each other, but being their own thing at the same time, then what is the need for screwing up the shows by taking away characters that they have made so awesome?
I swear, if this keeps going, DC is going to lose ALL my respect completely, especially if this is going to ruin Arrow and The flash even more, I'm going to freak out and probably give up on this forever. I don't know what it's with DC Comics and loving to screw up their own shit, but they're definitely doing a good job at just that.
Shame on them, so, so much shame on them.
Since it is likely not Oliver, Laurel, Diggle, Felicity, Thea, Malcolm, or Quentin is it Roy/Arsenal, Slade/Deathstroke , Lyla, Chien Na Wei/China White, Helena Bertinelli/Huntress, Shado, Ra's, Nyssa, Sin, Tatsu, Maseo, Vertigo, or Cupid ?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I bet $20 DC's biggest fear is hearing
ReplyDelete"Meh, it was better on Arrow/The Flash".
"Not at all."
ReplyDeleteReally, this just seals the deal on how El Maybe is such a pompous @$$hat.
welcome to the longtime and intrinsically f*cked up logic of DC. 100% unsurprising, they could not find their ass, let alone any cohesion, with both hands and a map.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to see what Geoff Johns has to say about a "multiverse" now when WB/DC is doing this to Arrow.
ReplyDeletethey are well known pasta throwers (to see if it sticks). they would rather spends tons of money and loads of embarrassment (the superman movies are prime example) then stop and think about anything.
ReplyDeleteThey probably already pulled Waller and they are probably going to pull Slade Wilson. (Just my guess). I'm hoping that Arrow brings back Huntress (before they pull her) so we can get a really cool "Birds of Prey" ep where instead of Canary and Huntress fighting, they are working together on something.
ReplyDeleteThey may kill Roy, but it won't be because of DC. In a world where there are no Green Arrow film plans, there certainly is no plan for Arsenal.
ReplyDeleteThey already pulled it on Waller, Slade and Boomerang
ReplyDeleteGuessing it's either Ra's or Barry
With all the characters DC keeps pulling, I'm kinda hoping one of their movies bombs.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they had pulled Boomerang. I'm good with that. I want to keep the Al Ghul's as long as possible though.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Slade can pull a TV Series main character, honestly
ReplyDeleteNo by pull I mean there will be no more Slade Wilson on Arrow because they'll put him in "The Suicide Squad" movie. The article is about DC/WB having issues with the TV universe having characters they want to put in their movies even though the universes are "separate" so there shouldn't even be an issue to begin with. Let's just have two different Deadshots, two Amanda Wallers, etc.
ReplyDeleteThis whole thing is ridiculous...they made such a big deal about how they are "separate" universes but they can't let the TV universe have the same characters as the movies. I'm hoping since the article is "Arrow" related that it's not Barry, but personally, I'll probably stop watching "The Flash" if they pull Barry Allen.
ReplyDeleteIf it's Barry then that's the end of Flash and that's just pointless in every way possible.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Ra's... who shouldn't have been on the show anyway...
I would turn evil just to kill her, is how that character makes me feel.
ReplyDeleteI thought the writers got approval from DC for each charactor they used. I remember reading something about that. It's not like they didn't know they were on the Arrow show. I hope this doesn't turn people away from ARROW!!! It's not their fault this is happening!!! Wake Up DC. You are messing with one of the best shows on CW and to me the best show on tv.
ReplyDelete
