Update: 15:49 We've just heard back from NBC.
"it’s just an error; will be corrected shortly. The show is airing as scheduled."
Update: 15:20 Here is a tweet from Jake Robinson who plays Harrison Walters.
Let's hope he's right and not a case of the network not informing the cast and crew
. @theomeniscoming @SpoilerTV don't worry @NBCOdyssey is still happening every Sunday night at 10/9 central. That article is false.

@theomeniscoming @SpoilerTV @NBCOdyssey okay not "false" poor wording. But it's definitely still on.

Thanks to Jovan and Bill for the heads up.
It appears that NBC might have quietly pulled the plug on American Odyssey.
We've checked on both the public facing NBC Schedule site http://www.nbc.com/schedule and their Media Press Site and they are now showing no entry for where American Odyssey once was.
Now this might just be a glitch on their systems, although a little unlikely to effect 2 different sites or it could be that they have indeed pulled it from the schedule.
Given it's very low ratings it would not be a surprise.
We've reached out to NBC for a comment and will update you if/when we get a reply.
Noo :(
ReplyDeleteSad. I am hoping for a miracle decision to move it on the other night, but thats almost impossible.
ReplyDeleteI admire the broadcast networks trying more cable style dramas but they can't really expect huge numbers for them.
ReplyDeleteI guess I won't bother trying it then!
ReplyDeleteFigures. I didn't even bother watching the second episode after the ratings came in, even though I quite liked the pilot.
ReplyDeleteSame here
ReplyDeleteUnsurprising if true. I wonder what replaces it... Dateline: The Real Voice, Dateline: After the Night Shift, Dateline: Experiencing Chicago Fire, or Dateline: Following Chicago PD?
ReplyDeleteLooks like they have switched to double-episodes of A.D. from 9-11pm. I guess it makes sense in time for sweeps, but Odyssey is a really great show (in my opinion) and I hope the remaining episodes are released without too much delay.
ReplyDeleteImho, it deserves it.
ReplyDeleteIt makes you appreciate networks that stick with their duds until closed such as CBS with Battle Creek, FOX with Backstrom and ABC with Forever.
ReplyDeleteHopfully they'll still release them online like they're doing with Allegiance.
ReplyDeleteJust when I found one show to watch from NBC that I like...
ReplyDeleteOuch... though not at all surprised...
ReplyDeleteI hope they at least burn off the episode like on a Saturday in the summer maybe...
As someone who watches and thoroughly enjoys all three shows which you mentioned, yet is fully aware they are more or less DOA, I agree. At least we'll get to see the lot of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd for a show like AO, where it does seem to be a bit more mini-series-y, they could just stick out anyway. It's midseason... what else are they gonna put on the air anyway!
NBC makes loads of mistakes in their own printed schedule. While it's possible it could be pulled, it's also possible that they just forgot to list it.
ReplyDeleteI hope we at least get to see all the episodes. Just put them online or do a Saturday burnoff. And let's hope the show doesn't end in a cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Jake's tweets don't make sense since it's not on the schedule anymore.
ReplyDeleteReally good show...that's a shame if it was pulled
ReplyDeleteI would prefer a Saturday burnoff since I'm definitely not going to watch it if was just released online.
ReplyDeleteDateline: Bible Stories It's a real thing NBC aired before A.D. last Sunday.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it's still on Sunday Nights.
ReplyDeleteIt will be airing according to my cable guide.
ReplyDeleteThey should pull Odyssey and replace it with "Beyond AD", essentially NBC's version of "Talking Dead".
ReplyDeleteThanks NBC for the clarification. Yey for not getting pulled..yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks once again Spoiler TV for not jumping too soon to conclusions and get some much needed clarification on the matter. :D
< Same here >
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteAs I said it seem weird... It's a midseason mini-series like show... pulling it was just odd, even if it wasn't blowing up in the ratings.
Too late now.
