OMG Fitz in that suit <3 Awww his reunion with Mike. Go Fitz!! I'm guessing that was OlmostSHIELD that was chasing him? or HYDRA? And the look on his face when he found out that they are teaming up with Grant was priceless. This should be fun.
i'm glad they are making pretty clear that they don't want to have anything to do with Ward, it's just that they are really desperate to find Skye, and Ward is the only lead
Well played Fitz seriously that was so a SHIELD move and I love the fact that Coulson hasn't given up on Skye yet even if it means to make a deal with"the devil".
Can I say badass fitz in a suit is so sexy!! Damn I'm glad he got to go out in the field but he's going to feel so betrayed poor guy and as he wasn't in the promo pics with ward I'mbetting it's not a sunny skies setting for him
I wonder how they are all going to react when she comes back and they find out that she was safe all the time. I doubt Hydra actually knows about Afterlife, can't see them not going after the Inhumans if they knew jut how large the population was.
I wish they were at least teaming up with him because there was a bigger baddie at play that had to be stopped, and Ward was the lesser of two evils. As it stands, the writers had to arrange for one big misunderstanding - Skye going to Afterlife willingly, and Coulson incorrectly surmising that she'd been kidnapped - to bring Ward back into the story. He's just so unnecessary at this point, the type of character whose presence on the show is only justified if you like him and are interested in whatever he does. He contributes zero to the actual plot.
Olmost SHIELD, yeah. It was mentioned by Bobbi/Weaver last episode that they put a tail on him after he left, because while they were willing to let him go, they were worried that he'd meet up with Coulson and help him. (They were right about that, but the precautions taken still didn't help them any. Ha!)
Fitz looks so cute in the suit and glasses! And the effects on the Quinjet are badass as always. But, I hope Fitz gives Coulson some serious hell for working with Ward. There's no way on earth that's going to sit well with him.
I disagree. They did exactly what I expected them to do, making Ward and Agent of Chaos. Plus, the team-up is not just about Skye, it is about Olmost Shield being ready to kill gifted people. What do you think they would do to Mike, for example? Coulson is always about protection.
There are 2 problems with this theory, in my eyes: 1. Who says Olmost SHIELD is getting ready to kill gifteds or that that's what Coulson is worried about? Yes, Gonzales made some pretty harsh comments about Skye, calling her a "thing" and whatnot, and everyone there seems to think that Coulson is assembling a super-powered army with the enlisting of Mike's help being further proof of that. But there hasn't been any mission statement about a mass genocide of gifteds. 2. Even if this WAS Coulson's main mission, there's no need to turn to Ward for that. He's a highly-trained specialist, yes, but his untrustworthiness should easily outweigh his potential usefulness in a combat situation. The reason thus far presented to us for Coulson going to him is that he believes Hydra has Skye (all the comments about Strucker and List capturing and experimenting on gifteds), and Ward had ties to Hydra so he can lead them to wherever it's based. So yes, from what we've seen so far, it's only about Skye.
They are ready to kill gifted as they think Coulson is building them into an Army with no oversight. I wonder if Coulson had May involved and more open what their reaction would have been. And it's clear that Coulson is bringing him back for finding Skye not to fight Other Shield.
Is not going to sit well and it shouldn't but seeing the way Fitz was so protective of Skye after she changed i think he would do anything to help her even work with Ward. They still on the dark about what happened with Skye as far as they know she could be in serious danger so i think he will be upset and there will be conflits but he will do it because is just on his good heart. I do hope he gives Ward hell though and doesn't take anything he tries to tell him.
I won't disagree with that... it being contrived makes it forced. But at least it is an actual reason, instead of some "Ward cares for Skye and we need the manpower" crap I was expecting it to be.
Misunderstanding or not over how or why Skye went missing, Coulson does need to find her, especially now that Gonzales does want to put her down. So needing to get to Strucker in order to accomplish that at least makes seeking out Ward somewhat relevant... It's not ideal and I agree they could have skipped it, but it's not an illogical tactical move.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteLOL, I love Coulson shutting Fitz down when he went to ask Mike questions. And ooh at the look on his face when he mentioned Ward.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be so much fun and I can't wait (but please apologize, Ward).
And upon hearing the name Ward, Fitz immediately regrets his "desperate times, desperate measures" statement. XD
ReplyDeleteFitz in a suit? That's so unfamiliar. I already miss his cardigans and sweaters.
ReplyDeleteFitz back in a tie. Looks like his motor control has finally recovered. :)
ReplyDeleteBut I'm still wondering how he was supposed to lose the tail with an electric hair dryer. lol
i'm glad they are making pretty clear that they don't want to have anything to do with Ward, it's just that they are really desperate to find Skye, and Ward is the only lead
ReplyDeleteOne of those great unanswered questions we're still going to be wondering about several seasons later.
ReplyDeleteGREAT scene!!!!! wow hearing Strucker's name couple of weeks before Ultron is so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWho is Coulson source? Ward?
ReplyDeleteHA! definitely
ReplyDeletewait i though Mike told him about List but maybe another source?
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Fitz in the field. Hopefully this doesn't end badly.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun episode. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice how Hunter turned away when Fitz looked at him to see if Coulson was joking?
ReplyDeleteI think that is a clip on tie. Watch the way he takes it off.
ReplyDeleteGREAT scene!!!!! wow hearing Strucker's name couple of weeks before Ultron is so CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! but very scary
ReplyDeleteAww Fitz in a suit and out in the field, my science baby is all grown up! I hope he tells Ward wheres to go.
ReplyDeleteAlso a Strucker mention!!
Well played Fitz seriously that was so a SHIELD move and I love the fact that Coulson hasn't given up on Skye yet even if it means to make a deal with"the devil".
ReplyDeleteOh my Fitz!
ReplyDeleteHe seems to be doing better and better each time his out in the field and I must say that suit and glasses, GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!
Yup... that they actually have a legitimate reason to team up with him makes this contrived plot ploy bearable.
ReplyDeleteNice! Glad to see Fitz out in action and kicking ass!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it's gonna be fun!

Ultrons is this thursday in UK :)
ReplyDeleteFitz in action is awesome. Hunter face on the end is great, he is totally expecting a crazy reaction from Fitz. Wonder what the deal is.
ReplyDeleteHahaha Awesome this agent running in to the aircraft was awesome.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say the same thing, and the reaction from the three was just as good.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they are all going to react when she comes back and they find out that she was safe all the time. I doubt Hydra actually knows about Afterlife, can't see them not going after the Inhumans if they knew jut how large the population was.
ReplyDeleteThink it's Friday for Ireland, already booked the ticket.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can bet hewants to be anywhere other than sitting next to Fitz for the reaction.
ReplyDeleteIt's clear that Coulson is still trying to hide whatever Theta Protocol is from the rest of the team.
ReplyDeleteTo me it's still forced, I wonder do they find Skye in this episode or the next one?
ReplyDeleteI loved this sneak peek so much I had to watch it over and over.
ReplyDeletei think its this one the way it describes that lincoln and skye are drag into the war

ReplyDeleteI sure can't blame the guy.

Agree with you on both things, I really hope now that Fitz is able to speak better he can really rip into Ward for what happened.

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed seeing Fitz in his suite!! Really excited to see Ward with his gang of misfits come together and work with Coulson... going to interesting!!
