That seems the most painful episode we're gonna get to watch so far. Skye seems to be okay but Raina not so much (Skye was right about one thing, she got what she deserves).
I wonder what the change of direction for Skye is? Since we know she has her Agent title back, she must end up back on the team. Maybe she works for the Inhumans as well?
I doubt he'd take it to that level (particularly if he's heard what Cal and she have been up to pre Mist). I'd sayhe just understands what she's going through better than most ofthe Inhumans.
I'm curious about this as well. I was thinking it was the inhumans path but it can't be if she is back as an agent. I can't imagining inhumans being happy about it, but then again, she only goes back to being an agent on ep 19 so a lot can happen. She might look happy now learning about her powers and then she can learn the inhumans are not as good as they look or something about her mother. Gordon did said that shady line to Cal about him line setting his and his daughter's fate. It can't be a good thing.
Press release for the episode after this one mentions that Skye and Lincoln are forced to get involved in the SHIELD Civil War storyline. That's all we know so far.
It's going to be interesting, that line to Cal certainly does overshadow things, yet at the sametime looking at the clip with Jiaying it seemed like she was being caring towards Skye. Maybe the "Elders" decide to have Skye as a liason/access point or something. Or alternatively as you suggest the change of direction might be turning against the Inhumans back to Shield? They did tease that she's going to be pulled in different directions between Shield and the Inhumans...
I wonder how that plays out. Gordon would have to have been involved to get them out of Afterlife so the Elders must havesigned off on it I guess. WOnder if Other Shield goes after an Inhuman (though why Gordon couldn't handle any situation is another good question).
Well, we can't know for certain yet that she's forced out or leaves with an issue, the Inhuman Elders might decide toallow her to work with Shield, so many questions, why can't this be on Netflix :(
I think that probably means a malevolent group found the Afterlife's location and attacked. Whether that's SHIELD II or Doctor List's HYDRA minions is anyone's guess at the moment.
Whatever happens i hope Jiaying intentions are good. She looked proud and caring about Skye on the clip. I expect more moments like that one during the episode. Skye deserves to have a break. Her dad is crazy enough so would be good if her mom embraces her and protect her if necessary. I think she has a lot of saying with the elders. What Gordon said doesn't look good but at the same time doesn't make sense being a really bad thing. Like her destiny is settled and it's not good but we will train you so you can be more powerful. Doesn't make much sense to me. I think the inhuman plot way more interesting than the SHIELD vs SHIELD war so i look forward to what will happen. The possibilities are endless and i love how the show always surprise us.
She might leave on good or bad terms. So much can happen. I have plenty of scenarios on my head. Still i'm sure the show will surprise me. We have to wait to see. If the show was on netflix people would watch during a weekend then have nothing else to do but speculate for the rest of the year. Summer and winter hiatus are torture enough.
Yeah I agree with you prety much totaly. If Skye get's screwed over by her Mom after everything that will truly suck for her. And yeah I find the Inhuman story Arc to be more interesting/involving than the Shield's.
But then it'd be rather pointless to introduce two enemies with different agendas heavily involving gifteds and not take then into a "Mecca" of those, don't you think? There doesn't need to have a heavy use of special effects for powers, most people there are just potentials and many of those who have already been tranformed don't have offensive powers. Furthermore, it's not likely to take more than 5 minutes of the episode's running time.
The temporary discomfort she put Raina in last week? That's not really anything to get upset about, especially when Raina was asking Skye to keep going. The concern here should be for Raina's mental state.
Well, we don't know the extent of the damage that she might have taken. We still need a better understanding of her gift. She could have easily done internal damage to Raina. Though certainly Raina's mental state should be a concern for the Inhumans.
She barely let out a gasp. Either Raina has developed a superhuman tolerance for pain or what Skye did was practically nothing at all. After re-watching the scene, I'd bet the latter.
Maybe is something more personal for Skye and/or Lincoln and Gordon doesn't want to get involved? idk, I know Gordon can teletransport but wouldn't be exactly easy to do that to a hydra base to take people out risking being captured. That doesn't sound like the inhumans approach either. They have a process. They just didn't go after Skye when she transformed. They waited. Gordon seems to obey whatever the elderly decide so it could be they think it's not worth getting involved and expose them but Skye and lIncoln feel different and want to help.
It is inhumans path. They were created by the Kree.. and We already had confirmation from the Kree that Sith took back to Asgard about this... The writers are just going to go slow with it and take it easy and give it proper treatment... The movie comes out AFTER Civil War... SO I imagine they don't feel threatened....They come and help with the infinity wars most likely..
Hmmm, ABC are being very careful on trying not to spoil too much about these episodes lately so it's very hard to speculate on exactly what's going on here. I wonder if that woman is the gifted individual who Coulson and May are trying to look for while they're in Bahrain and all hell breaks loose between her and May? I vaguely remember the promo saying something about "People with powers can be feared". Or maybe she's not the person they're looking for and she's someone who has familial ties with the powered person so Coulson tries to find out more about them by going to their closest relative? God, I need tomorrow to be here already!! And an Inhuman party dinner! What exactly can go wrong?
I think that might be it, Gonzales is telling her that Skye is out of control, having injured 8 agents (leaving out the trying to kill her part), so it's reasonable for May who clearly has dealt with a powerful gifted to now be thinking what might happen with Skye. She has no idea tha Skye is learning control (god I can't wait till Skye comes back in control and the reactions from everyone)
I'm just going by what they put onscreen and there was no indication of any serious damage done to Raina. So, unless they show or mention something in a subsequent episode there's no reason to believe otherwise.
agree but at the same time you can understand why may might be thinking this specially considering skye is like a daughter to her might make it hurt even more
But the thing is he will be involved, to get away from Afterlife they need him to transport them, and as you said he seems to obey the Elders, which suggests that they know what Skye and Lincoln are doing. I can't really see Gordon moving them without permission (and that may mean the comment to Cal is something else than keeping her at Afterlife).
So the question remains, what can draw Skye and Lincoln (a doctor with no combat training) into a situation between the Shields that Gordon can't/won't reslove but will allow somebody newly changed and a doctor get involved...
Would they add that into what will be an already dense plot in the Infinity Wars? I wonder what if any connection the Inhumans that we've seen have to the Royal Family and the rest?
Ming-Na is simply stunning. I imagine that having her play flashback May, rather than a different actress, was a no-brainer given that she can pass for being about 20 years younger.
And Luke Mitchell... you already guessed my comment: yum.
It's tough to be Lincoln with this fandom, eh? But hey - kidnap Skye a couple of times, work for Nazis, try to kill a couple of her friends and maybe throw in a few more dead bodies and you should be set.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aw, Raina. And poor May, too.
ReplyDeletelooks sooo good, can't wait
ReplyDeletealthough gordon might be mad at skye now after what she did to Raina
ReplyDeleteI love how young May looks in the flashback pics, maybe its not young but just a tad naive perhaps.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I'm guessing the woman in the flashbacks is going to end up being an Inhuman. Looks like Skye might be having dinner with her mom?
ReplyDeleteThat seems the most painful episode we're gonna get to watch so far. Skye seems to be okay but Raina not so much (Skye was right about one thing, she got what she deserves).
ReplyDeleteAcupuncture, massage... inhumans place is basically a spa on China's mountain. Sounds way too good to be true.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the change of direction for Skye is? Since we know she has her Agent title back, she must end up back on the team. Maybe she works for the Inhumans as well?
ReplyDeleteIt's simply amzing that Ming Na is over 50 and still looks so young.
ReplyDeleteMAY!!
ReplyDeleteI doubt he'd take it to that level (particularly if he's heard what Cal and she have been up to pre Mist). I'd sayhe just understands what she's going through better than most ofthe Inhumans.

ReplyDeleteI get the feeling Skye won't be ok for long. She end up back on the team so something will happen but i agree, Raina got what was coming.

ReplyDeleteI think they will find out Hydra is experimenting on inhumans. Skye and Lincoln will want to help.

ReplyDeleteI know but I still want to see some many of the episodes. Waiting each week is killing me...
ReplyDeleteThough that doesn't explain why Gordon can't resolve whatever brings Skye and Lincoln into the fray?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure the budget could meet having an Inhuman/Shield/Hydra fight.
ReplyDeleteBut then it'd be rather pointless to introduce two enemies with different agendas heavily involving gifteds and not take then into a "Mecca" of those, don't you think?

i know its on Hulu but why is it not on netflix that makes 0 sense to me since i don't have a netflix account i can't comment on this
ReplyDeleteTell me about it, I was so surprised when I went to her Wikipedia's page I first thought she was 35.
ReplyDeleteThe temporary discomfort she put Raina in last week? That's not really anything to get upset about, especially when Raina was asking Skye to keep going. The concern here should be for Raina's mental state.
ReplyDeleteI know it's stunning, I get the same from Grace Park thought she was mid 20's, instead she's in her 30's.
ReplyDeleteWell, we don't know the extent of the damage that she might have taken. We still need a better understanding of her gift. She could have easily done internal damage to Raina. Though certainly Raina's mental state should be a concern for the Inhumans.

ReplyDeletemaybe may feel dejvu all over again with what is happening with skye and afraid she might have to do the same thing again
ReplyDeleteAgain it depends, Raina told Cal that she hurts all the time from the change in 2.11 so she may well be developing a high pain tolerance level.
ReplyDeleteI think that might be it, Gonzales is telling her that Skye is out of control, having injured 8 agents (leaving out the trying to kill her part), so it's reasonable for May who clearly has dealt with a powerful gifted to now be thinking what might happen with Skye. ReplyDeleteBack in Repairs, Couldon said that none of them had weapons in Bahrain and yet here they are holding guns. Coulson was lying or continuity mistake?
ReplyDeletemaybe he was talking about the final showdown
ReplyDeletedon't you "aw" Raina, she deserves ALL she got!
ReplyDeleteLincoln don't go anywhewre near Skye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMing-Na is simply stunning. I imagine that having her play flashback May, rather than a different actress, was a no-brainer given that she can pass for being about 20 years younger.
ReplyDeleteAnd Luke Mitchell... you already guessed my comment: yum.
Why? (And no,"He's not Ward" doesn't qualify as a reason)
ReplyDeleteIt's almost here!!! :D Melinda <3
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Finding out! Chole Bennet was at the avengers premier last night... I a sure she is going to be scripted into the inhumans movie.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not sure why you should route for the killer, over what it appears to be a well adjusted doctor.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough to be Lincoln with this fandom, eh? But hey - kidnap Skye a couple of times, work for Nazis, try to kill a couple of her friends and maybe throw in a few more dead bodies and you should be set.
