ABC ANNOUNCES MAY SWEEPS PROGRAMMING
Highlights Include “The 2015 Billboard Music Awards” Live From Las Vegas
The ABC Television Network announced highlights of upcoming May sweeps programming, featuring season finale dates for series “American Crime,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “black-ish,” “Castle,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Forever,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” “Nashville,” “Revenge,” “Scandal,” “Secrets and Lies,” and “Shark Tank.“ In addition, “The 2015 Billboard Music Awards” will take place live from Las Vegas.
Other highlights include a special two-hour finale of “Once Upon A Time” and “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” the premieres of “Beyond the Tank” and “500 Questions,” and the return of “The Bachelorette,” with a special two-night event.
The Chew – ABC’s “The Chew” is celebrating spring! On Monday, April 27, Guillermo Diaz (ABC’s “Scandal”) guests, and Tuesday, April 28, The Radio City Rockettes swing by and kick-up their heels for a fun, yet informative, spring cleaning segment with Clinton Kelly. On Tuesday, May 5, it’s a “Cinco de Mayo Party!” with Mexican chef Pati Jinich. The week of May 11–15 is “Inspiration Week,” with co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz celebrating the people in their lives who inspire them most. AOS sounds scary and sad
I think the show's fate will depend on the pilot. According to TVLine, season 5 will be like a reboot so maybe ABC is waiting to see how their pilots are in case they have to make a last minute renewal.
ReplyDeleteStill, Revenge has been a show that's been around for 4 years, and Abc should at least have the decency to announce it, so that other fans could prepare for a series finale. Not to mention, this show deserves to go out on a high not a low.

Because if something that catastrophic was happening do you really think we as a society would just let the big-name marquise superheroes deal with it? We would fight back too. ReplyDelete"FOREVER" writers have too much class to leave their very loyal fans with a 'Season Finale' cliffhanger if they know there won't be a Season 2. I prefer to believe that this episode is a clear sign that there WILL be a Season 2 for this wonderful series. "FOREVER" fans have banded together in an exhausting, relentless siege on ABC with snail-mail writing campaigns, emails, a formal petition, signed by thousands, and on Twitter and Face Book in faithful support of a Season 2 Renewal. If there isn't a Season 2, it won't be because the fans haven't given their all to promote and sustain its 'IMMORTALITY'.

It does seem weird that they do party episodes where the guest of honor (Alex this time) doesn't really have their own storyline - Jay was on the periphery of several stories in "Grill, Interrupted" but they all were more about the characters on the other side (Phil and the grill, Claire and Mitch with the down payment returns, and Alex and her anxiety about fitting in at CalTech). That might be what we have to hope to see from Alex in this one.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping they would do an episode around the graduation ceremony, to see if Alex still felt scorned by her classmates (as she was four years ago in "See You Next Fall", when she was ready to give a scathing middle school valedictorian speech until Haley managed to talk her out of it) and this time (if she's valedictorian again) decide to just go ahead and give that "the heck with you all" speech (since she wouldn't see most of her classmates again anyway).
