ABC Announces Season Finale Dates & May Premiere Dates

ABC ANNOUNCES MAY SWEEPS PROGRAMMING

Highlights Include “The 2015 Billboard Music Awards” Live From Las Vegas

The ABC Television Network announced highlights of upcoming May sweeps programming, featuring season finale dates for series “American Crime,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “black-ish,” “Castle,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Forever,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” “Nashville,” “Revenge,” “Scandal,” “Secrets and Lies,” and “Shark Tank.“ In addition, “The 2015 Billboard Music Awards” will take place live from Las Vegas.

Other highlights include a special two-hour finale of “Once Upon A Time” and “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” the premieres of “Beyond the Tank” and “500 Questions,” and the return of “The Bachelorette,” with a special two-night event.

The Chew – ABC’s “The Chew” is celebrating spring! On Monday, April 27, Guillermo Diaz (ABC’s “Scandal”) guests, and Tuesday, April 28, The Radio City Rockettes swing by and kick-up their heels for a fun, yet informative, spring cleaning segment with Clinton Kelly. On Tuesday, May 5, it’s a “Cinco de Mayo Party!” with Mexican chef Pati Jinich. The week of May 11–15 is “Inspiration Week,” with co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz celebrating the people in their lives who inspire them most. On Monday, May 18, “Empire” star Jussie Smollett fills in as guest co-host for the day. “The Chew” airs MONDAY – FRIDAY (1:00- 2:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

General Hospital – The Daytime Emmy nominated series celebrates the annual Nurses’ Ball on Friday, May 1, Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5. See which of your favorite stars will return, along with the GH character fans voted back. Stay tuned for a two-day network daytime television event as “General Hospital” broadcasts live from Los Angeles on Friday, May 15, and again Monday, May 18.

Beyond the Tank – SERIES PREMIERE -- A one-hour companion series from the producers of the Emmy-winning reality series, “Shark Tank,” will tell what happens to the entrepreneurs after their appearance on The Tank. In “Episode 101,” Robert Herjavec rolls up his sleeves to help guide San Diego, CA entrepreneurs Evan Melsohn and Nick Morton, the “Tipsy Elves” business duo from Season 5. They find themselves at a crossroads when it comes to branding their clothing design company and if Nick should quit his job as a dentist and participate full time in the business. Sixteen-year old Carter Kostler from Virginia Beach, VA felt devastated when he did not get a deal for The Define Bottle, his fruit-infused water bottle, after appearing in a Season 5 episode. He shares how he turned his first venture at being an entrepreneur into a learning experience that will last him a lifetime. When former pro-football player Al “Bubba” Baker and his daughter, Brittani Bo Baker, pitched the Sharks in Season 5, Daymond John won the battle to invest $300,000 in their Deboned Baby Back Ribs business. But when Daymond goes to Avon, OH and discovers that production is not under control and orders aren’t keeping up with the demand, the Shark wonders if he made the right business decision, premieres FRIDAY, MAY 1 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Note: “Beyond the Tank” will run for three weeks through Friday, May 15.

Secrets and Lies – SEASON FINALE - “The Lie” - Certain that he is not responsible for Tom’s death, Ben tries to finally relax and enjoy the Christmas that he missed with his family -- until a shocking discovery changes his plans. Meanwhile, with the evidence having been re-tested, Cornell puts all the pieces together and prepares to make an arrest. But in the stunning conclusion, Ben makes a decision that will change his family’s life forever. The nightmare is only just starting, on “Secrets and Lies,” airing SUNDAY, MAY 3 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Forever – SEASON FINALE -- “The Last Death of Henry Morgan” – Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time. Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation. But at long last, will Jo finally learn about Henry’s secret? The Season Finale of “Forever” airs TUESDAY, MAY 5 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE – “S.O.S. Part One / S.O.S. Part Two” – S.H.I.E.L.D. puts everything on the line to survive a war that blurs the line between friend and foe. The Goldbergs – SEASON FINALE -- “Turn Around, Bright Eyes” – When Erica gets accepted into a summer arts school, Beverly insists on throwing her a going-away party. Just as she departs for ten weeks, Beverly overly shows her affections while Murray struggles to tell Erica how he really feels. Meanwhile, Barry decides to be the school mascot to be closer to Lainey, but unbeknownst to him, their rival school is planning to beat up the mascot at the upcoming game, on “The Goldbergs,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 13 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

America’s Funniest Home Videos – SEASON FINALE - SUNDAY, MAY 17 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards – dick clark productions and Billboard, the ultimate authority in music and home of the iconic Billboard charts defining success in music, are set to return to ABC and will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 17 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET). Dancing with the Stars – SEASON FINALE -- “Episode 2010 and 2010A” -- The Finals and The Results Show, MONDAY, MAY 18 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) and TUESDAY, MAY 19 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

The Bachelorette – SEASON PREMIERE – Will it be Kaitlyn or Britt? ABC’s hit romantic reality series, “The Bachelorette,” will kick off its 11th season with a two-night special. The surprises continue with the biggest one of all: there will be two Bachelorettes greeting their suitors for the first time ever. The charming, charismatic beauty, Britt, who captivated Chris Soules and the rest of Bachelor Nation with a memorable hug on that first night at The Bachelor mansion, and Kaitlyn, the gorgeous, fun-loving, warm-hearted, but irreverent firecracker who let down her guard only to have her heart crushed, will take their place in Bachelorette history. Who will the men prefer? Eventually, only one woman will be left to hand out the final rose. “500 Questions” – SEASON PREMIERE -- From Emmy® winner Mark Burnett, CEO, United Artists Media Group (“Shark Tank,” “Survivor,” “The Voice”), and Mike Darnell, President, Warner Bros. During the celebration, Jay frets about Gloria’s cousin who has overstayed his welcome; Claire stresses out about giving Alex the perfect gift; Mitch hides news of being laid off from Cam, and Andy’s girlfriend Beth is in town stirring up a whole lot tension with Haley which finally leads to a realization that may have come too late, on the season finale of “Modern Family,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 20 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

black-ish – SEASON FINALE – “Pops’ Pops’ Pops” -- Jack and Diane look for clues about their roots for their class assignment, a history of the Johnson family. But when they can’t find anything out about the family’s past, Pops comes to the rescue with the colorful story of how “Pops’ Pops’ Pops’” great-great grandfather, Drex Johnson, bet the future of the Johnson family against a ruthless gangster, Elroy Savoy, during the 1920s Harlem Renaissance, on “black-ish,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 20 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
