I think she is pregnant. The Wanderer dropped enough hints that last when he visited some princess, he got her pregnant and then came back later nine months to see that a son named Olaf was born.
Rollo and Siggy - Agree. Bit of a strange relationship. But there was definitely love buried under there somewhere.
Honestly we are entering uncharted territory here. Until now the show has kept at least some semblance to the myth regarding the sons of Ragnar (Even if Ivar was actually Aslaug's first born and Bjorn was HER son and not Lagertha's) so I don't know where they are going with this. All I do know is The Wanderer is another name for Odin and they certainly were implying this character was not actually a man. Aslaug had five sons in the mythology (again, all were Ragnar's) so who knows what they are going with here.
Siggy's death was a hard one for me. She became so devoted to Ragnar and Lagertha, that the moment she questioned Auslag's decisions about the WANDERER I knew she would die at his hands. Her last act was of devotion to Ragnar's children. Poor Rollo RIP Siggy
I cannot stand Auslag either. Her getting jealous about Ragnar and Lagertha being pals and smiling. She is annoying! Glad Ragnar is over her! She is a nut!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Oh boy Rollo mourning Siggy's death by drinking? And Bjorn looks the worse for wear..
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear Ragnar's and Aslaug's conversation. He sure looks angry and upset to say the least.
Yes, I wonder if She got pregnant by the Stranger.
ReplyDeleteRollo and Siggy´s ralationship was always a strange one.

She's pregnant but it seems odd to me. The wanderer is another name for Odin...

ReplyDeleteYes, it is. I know. Hence the caps on 'W'. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems the show is delving into the mystical aspects and beliefs of the Vikings.

ReplyDeletePoor Rollo
RIP Siggy
And as stated the irony is that by delving into the mythology of the time they are straying even further from the myth the show is based on lol
ReplyDeleteThe show gives her a bad rep, in actuality the true mythology is about the love story between Ragbar and Aslaug
