On the list: The 100, Fringe, LOST, and Arrow Off the list: Agents of SHIELD, Breaking Bad, Black Mirror, Parks and Recreation, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Lost was/is/will always be my favorite show of all time , so I 3000% recommend it to whoever has not watched it yet. In addition, Arrow, The 100 and Fringe are among my favorite shows ever so those also get a pretty big recommendation, particularly The 100, which is very underrated. I won't go on those off the list since it would be never ending.
From this list - Fringe, LOST, Friday Night Lights and Luther.
Other- Longmire, The Fall, Les Revenants ( The Returned), House Of Cards, Stargate (not sure if its on Netflix anymore). I'm sure there are others and will add..
I am so happy they have Longmire and can't wait for the new season. I think they have 6 series coming this year that I'm looking forward to. I'm looking for a new favorite show to binge watch and I just get overwhelmed looking through Netflix. I know I'm missing some great ones.
Stuck in early season 2 for a while; I had to stop for a while because there were plenty of stuff going on and I had to get on with that, but I plan to start once again when The 1OO wraps up its season and watch it weekly on its timeslot as a replacement
Longmire is great TV. It's not flashy, it's not dirty or gritty, it's just good TV. Every show needs a Walt Longmire. Have you watched Deadwood? It's an HBO Western that critics and fans loved.
Black Mirror is on my list but I've read different things about it. I hope to try it out soon. Of your list, this is the only one I haven't seen. Great TV!
There are a lot of great choices being posted, thanks. I'm always looking for new TV and Netflix can be overwhelming. I'm in the mood to really binge watch a new show. I'm really excited about Bloodline starting next week. I can watch Kyle Chandler act all day long and still never get Coach Taylor out of my head. "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose."
With Longmire you won't get the insane car chases or crashes. No big explosions, machine guns or semi automatic guns. With Longmire you will get an intimate look of a small town sheriff, his closest friend and his deputies with some beautiful scenery thrown in. Toni is right its not flashy but that's what i love about this show. The story's and their personality unfolds gradually, slowly but never drags. Its just good storytelling with heart. It also has a mystery that runs through the first 3 seasons which adds a complexity to this series. Robert Taylor, Katee Sachoff, Lou Diamond Phillips and crew are very good in this i highly recommend it!
On this poll Arrow and Lost (despite it's ending).
Everything else other: Buffy, Angel, Smallville, Being Human (US version), Dawson's Creek, Glee (season 1-3), TVD, The OC, The Big Bang Theory. There's a lot more, but that's all iI can think of now, that i'dI'd suggest.
It's certainly different from any other show I have ever watched but it's so mesmerizing and some episodes definitely make you emotional (the season 2 premiere with Hayley Atwell absolutely wrecked me and I still think about it to this day). I say give the first season a chance. I would love to know what you thought of it :)
The 100, LOST and Arrow from the list. I have Fringe in my queue I just haven't started it yet.
Other Recommendations: 1. Chuck (I am almost done with S3 and this show has rapidly become one of my favorite ever!)
2. Lost Girl 3. Dexter 4. Leverage 5. White Collar 6. Sherlock (BBC) 7. Doctor Who 8. Continuum 9. Merlin (BBC) 10. Longmire 11. Being Human (UK) 12. The Fall 13. Eureka 14. Any of the Star Trek Series 15. Haven 16. Bitten 17. Fullmetal Alchemist 18. Avatar: The Last Airbender 19. Warehouse 13 20. Farscape
I started watching the 100 on Netflix on a Saturday night and I couldn't go to sleep. I started watching at 10:30pm and didn't fall asleep until 3:00am. It was just so good and thrilling. I caught up with season 2 on demand
Arrow, Fringe & Lost. Fringe, for a first time viewer, is the most addictive of shows since that first season of Grey's Anatomy. It is right up there among the best sci-fi shows of all times. Off list: Archer and Parks & Rec
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
