i totally agree..i must admit i haven't been a fan of most of her shows(her acting is great, but she needs better roles), but i always thought she had the perfect look for the role:)
I picked Claire Holt and Tracy Spiridakos.because for me Supergirl has to be a strong lead with a hint of mystery both these women have that. She also has to have an exotic quantity about her.
Has everyone seen the new "Supergirl" pics yet? What the #3LL were the producers/network thinking! Claire Holt hands down..............."No Contest"! I foresee this series (Suergirl) falling somewhere between "The Bionic Woman" reboot (canceled after one season) and the failed "Wonder Woman" pilot...........even the costume and color scheme was the wrong choose. Nobody 4 LATER!!!
I'm fine with the current choice. People just like to complain. If TV shows and movies kept going for the obvious picks for casting, there wouldn't be any surprises, and relative unknowns wouldn't get their time to shine.
Melissa wouldn't have been my first pick, and maybe that's a good thing.
Hey, Benoist wasn't my first choice (or second or third) but I'm not about to start dumping on her before I've seen a single second of her performance in the role.
I don´t know. She just doesn´t strike me as a costume superhero type, that´s all. Not that she couldn´t handle action scene, that I know she can perfectly. I guess, it´s just the costume part for me...stupid I know :D
A vocal crowd of people thought Grant Gustin was a horrible choice for Flash until they first saw him in the Arrow pre-Flash two-parter. Then they thought the costume sucked when the first photos were posted. Jump to the present day, Flash is CW's top show by a lot and now people are pissed that Gustin wasn't considered for the Flash role in the Supes/Bats movie.
Point being, let the show air first before tearing Benoist and the costume apart. The show is being handled by the same Arrow/Flash team, cast by the same agency that cast Arrow/Flash, and being directed by Glen Winter. The supporting cast is well-established and top-notch. As with Gustin, you can't judge Benoist by her minor Glee role. She obviously hit it out of the park in her audition or she wouldn't have been cast.
This show isn't going to suck, or even come close to sucking.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Dianna Agron!
ReplyDeleteClaire Holt.
ReplyDeleteClaire Holt or Laura Vandervoort
ReplyDeleteAmber Heard or Evan Rachel Wood.
ReplyDeleteclaire holt, but i still would had preferred 3 or 4 of the people on that list to melissa
ReplyDeleteClaire Holt, I really thought she´s gonna be the one. I also love Tracy Spiridakos, but I can´t imagine her as a Supergirl.
ReplyDeleteLaura Vandervoort, of course!

ReplyDeleteAlexandra Daddario would be a great choice.
ReplyDeleteFor me is Tracy Spiridakos. She may have improved on the second season of Revolution, but she was still a terrible actress
ReplyDeleteDianna Agron definitely
ReplyDeleteLea is two times the actress and singer than all those girls are
ReplyDeleteIf you say so.

ReplyDeleteMaybe, but I most definitely do not want to see her in this role.

ReplyDeleteIn all fairness to Ms. Benoist, let's give her a shot before we poison the air with Who Should of Been questions.
ReplyDeleteIYO, not mine.

Hhhmmm... I hadn't thought of it, but Britt Robertson might have not been the worst choice....
