1) The Slap:
ReplyDeleteI like what American Koula said to Manolis: "Why do you think people have children when they’re young. Because only the young can raise children". This is the thing in many family-centric cultures, you can only do so much to keep your unit from being torn apart.
As for Gary. I kinda feel bad for him: Sad, pathetic, depressed, and too proud to admit that he is indeed a weak father who lets his wife spoil their child rotten. He has no one to blame but himself.
I can't wait for Rosie's episode (which will probably follow after Connie's installment next week). Let's see if Gary's brave enough to tell it to his wife how he really feels about the situation they both brought themselves in.
Re: Aisha. I guess friendship trumps medical professionalism everytime for her. I'm sure the medical board will have a field day with her! (Oh wait...)

2)Allegiance. My oh my, the look on Alex's freaked out face doesn't to differ from his usual "weirdo" face. Looks like the psyche-guy is onto him since he seem to read Alex's face of relief. I wonder where that will go.
And one thing I love about this show is how the writers smartly place this shots at humor to lighten up a show as dark as Allegiance. And yey, we officially got Bristow Family 2.0, without both family members killing each other and everything. :D
The Odd Couple continues to be worse than mediocre. I dunno if I'll keep up with the show. Not even Matthew Perry makes this worth while. That he's also pretty much phoning it in isn't helping any...
