ReplyDeleteSorry your pick wasn't a video, I wanted one pick per show this week.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moment this week was The 100's one. I've listened to "Knockin on heavens door" countless times since the episode aired.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really liked the Helix moment.
Ha, no worries :) Plenty of great other scenes.
ReplyDeleteOh god the 100 makes me cry every time i watch it ;( definitely thr best Moment
ReplyDeleteLoved that moment so much. I've literally re-played it several times.
ReplyDeleteThat scene of The 100 ripped my heart out and crushed it. I already watched it like a hundred times and it still has the same effect on me. Such a wonderful choice of background music. The song alone made it heartbreaking and the brilliant acting only added to it. For me "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is now to this show what "Carry On My Wayward Son" is to Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteI cried too. Again. And I've seen this already like a 1000 times.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see The 100 there. It was a great scene and it had a finale feeling to it. I could have lived with such a finale since we would have only received 2 Seasons. Shows that the writers don't want to force anything.
ReplyDeleteI really should start with Banshee, it's always on this list (have not seen the vids so I don't spoil myself), it has all the premises I should love the show, but 2 yrs ago I tried the pilot and I fell a sleep....
I've heard that before, great song. Sad, but good.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 was never not going to make the list, it was just a matter of which scene to pick. The song "Knockin on heavens door" helped me decide to pick the scene above. I like the pacing of The 100. It wasn't my favorite show during Season 1, but now it's sky rocketed to Number 2, right behind Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteBanshee is a favorite among the staff, I personally didn't like it when I tried it.
They are. It's a shame that they, like so many others, don't get the recognition they deserve.
ReplyDeleteHa, I have as well. That song was perfect for that scene. I'm hoping the show now gets some recognition at the upcoming Emmy's.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 is my no 2 on both of my lists. Shows I am passionate about (Arrow, AoS) and my list with quality shows (GoT also beeing my no 1, Black Sails, Marco Polo).
ReplyDeleteActually my favorite scene is were Clark breaks down in front of her mother, but I would have picked the same it was more "rounded". The song was very well picked and I loved what it brings to the scene, even if I prefer Bobs version.
I loved loved loved the Bunker scene in Banshee but the images of everyone gearing up for their respective wars was too great.
ReplyDeleteBanshee is just amazing. It's a bit of a slow burn at times in the first couple of seasons but the quality of the storytelling is terrific.
ReplyDeleteThat Scandal scene with Huck and David Rosen was so emotional!
ReplyDeleteI will give it a try as soon as I have more time. I normally don't like shows that start slow but I enjoyed Red Road.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone's comments on The 100. What a great ending to the season. Both Eliza and Bob are great at emoting; my heart was breaking. That cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" was so chilling. Just excellent.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really been keeping up with Grey's Anatomy spoilers, but I was surprised by Meredith's discovery. I hope Derek is not cheating on Meredith, as he's been so dislikeable this season.
These moments were so shocking, Scandal: Huck goes through with exposing B613, TWD:Noah gets eaten when just when he was about to contribute with the ASZ, Empire: Luscious is (possibly) the father!
ReplyDeleteLove Black Sails as well, that's improved a lot, and like The 100 it's second season has been fantastic, there's a lot of interesting things coming up in the final 2 episodes.
ReplyDeleteI liked that moment as well with Abbey and Clarke, very emotional, and something that needed to happen. The only version of Knockin on heavens on door I knew was by Bob Dylan, but I kind of like RAIGN version better.
I wasn't expecting Noah to die at all this week, I didn't read the spoiler that came out. It was one of the most gruesome deaths yet on the show.
ReplyDeleteIt was such a perfect song choice, I couldn't imagine the scene without it. Bob and Eliza have been fantastic all season long, and the finale just proved once again how talented they both are.
ReplyDeleteI don't hate Derek at all, but does the show really need him? I've hardly noticed his absence during episodes.
Yes I have to catch up with Black Sails.
ReplyDeleteKnockin on Heavens door is a heartbreaker song. You should check out the version from Guns 'N Roses.
I know it from another powerful scene in a German movie. Two guys who are both terminal ill (cancer) go on a roadtrip to the ocean, because one has never been there before. Lots of adventures on their way but they make it to the ocean. One drops dead and they tune in the song. End of movie.
That 12 Monkeys scene was painful. Neither of them were very understanding of each other.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds sad without even watching the clip.
ReplyDeleteNoah and Glenn and the revolving doors. Steven Yeun was amazing in that scene.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how often I rewatched this The 100 scene or replayed the song... And I cried every time... The whole sequence from Kane holding Abby's hand to Jasper's goggles to "May we meet again!" is so so heartbreaking. ;(
