Wish i knew who Stefan was talking to when he asks that. Otoh i love how he's just chilling in the back while Caroline makes a decision who which one she wants to kill.
Just like last time, I don't expect any of the core main characters to take that cure.
People like Lily, Enzo (like you mentioned), or Sarah (if she's killed with Elena's blood still in her) are most likely. I see all the original TVD characters as long shots to take the cure.
While I dislike Enzo, I don't think that is where it's headed only because I don't think he would die for her, as I'm sure he's old enough to where the cure would kill him after it works.
The cure didn't kill Katherine. Only after Silas drained Katherine of all her blood (which contained the cure) did Katherine deteriorate and die. It was the removal of the cure that killed her.
i wonder if kai is dead? and i wonder if that one vampire in lilies cellar is someone from the founding families... they kept showing only the one guy. and if kai is dead...i wonder what it will do to the Gemini coven?
IMO Elena is the most tolerable she's ever been. I found her most annoying as a human and a newbie vamp. I don't think I can suffer through either of those Elena's again.
no chance in hell of that happening for me at least.. she has become so damned annoying..... so much to the point in last nights ep.. that I wanted to pull my own hair out by the roots..
I agree with Bruce_F here.. only because Silas drained Katherine of the cure she aged so quickly.. would she have continued to have the cure run through her veins she would have been a normal aging human being..
if her "family" are all from the founding families and they start settling back into town it could be very interesting. even more interesting if one/all of them have ties to Gemini coven
You are right, but one of the things I love about this season is the sense that they have their endgame for this season already mapped out and now they are mostly just going to tie it all together and bring it to its conclusion, so they are gonna go with a bang. And 5 episodes seem like just the right number for doing that.
Why waste a cure on non sociopath Vampires????!!! Doesnt make sense, they should use it wisely! Just think they have a weapon in there hands! Just imagine if Klaus finds out that they have the CURE in there possession. Think of the possibilities! Never know...
But the thing is,elena is not worthy of stefan anymore & as much i dislike steroline as a romantic couple,i hate the idea of elena crawling back to stefan after all the crap stunt she has pulled. That ship has sailed a long time ago.She needs to spend some time without any men in her life,if you know what i mean!
I disagree. considering there's only 5 more episodes left this season and Kai isn't going to be around much longer, I think whatever the cure is used for will set up the story for season 7. they won't waste it on low impact characters like Sarah or Enzo simply because they need to open up a story and change things up for season 7.
That's questionable, first I have no idea how else they are going to "tame" Lily if not with the cure, second - if they are going to break up delena and instead go with bamon, which it imho surely looks like, then there is you big character shake-up for season 7...
Really? :) I'm generally fine with Elena and she slightly irritates me these few last episodes, but she felt really annoying in this last episode. That whole super risky, dumb plan she came up with (I'm totally sure it's gonna work, totally... ), her being unable to understand that Lily is dangerous, even when constantly reminded of that... Then that comment about Elena and Damon being the two epic loves of her life and chirping about Stefan and Damon this way (awkward... ). I may be too allergic to her at his point, but I really wanted to slap her to her senses this episode, she felt like not understanding/caring about what's going on...
Why not? Lily is the mother that Damon and Stefan didn't have for the majority of life, I'm sure that bringing her into the gang would cause some big changes, besides she would be the only real adult in the group then (we have Alaric, but he's not exactly a regular adult, he's kinda too cool for that, LOL)... And like I said, if they are gonna add bamon to the mix, then that seems like a lot of story character-wise. Now add some great mythology to the mix and there you go...
Well, one would expect/hope that they have some idea how they want to see the story go overall, including the mythology, i.e. that they have some endgame for that as well. There have been rumors (even confirmed by Julie, i think?) about one big character becoming a ghost and us dealing with that, for example...
oh man where shall I start from the moment she opened her mouth...last night I was like....damn girl.. your not the center of the universe I hope they try to split that cure and give her half and give the mom half.. not gonna happen I know lol and its bugging me that they haven't had Bonnie's mom back on the show in a long while... as well...
That's elena now-a-days-totally clueless about the dangers that lies ahead of them.I also thought that dialouge was very odd regarding the two epic love of her life.Really, elena? Or the scene where she mistook stefan's baby pic as damon's and called him adorable-talk about awkward! However,i'm happy that despite of all elena's boy/man melodrama, defan relationship is at it's peak currently.I loved that dialogue damon told lily-They might be your family but stefan is mine!Aww...so cute!
According to the writers of this, if the leader of the Gemini coven dies and there isn't any twins of age who can merge and create a new leader than everyone in the Gemini coven dies.
The best contender for this cure is Lily,if you consider it as a long-term storyline and especially if season 7 turns out to be the final one.At this point, everyone will agree including elena that she should be the one to get the cure.In season 4,when everyone said damon will get the cure,i predicted katherine would accidentally end up getting it( i was so shocked to see i was right back then)-so,something makes think since lily is the obvious choice here, they are going to give it to enzo-It serves two purpose-Redeem him in time gradually & make him a part of the main arc to some extent by making him and sarah(something is telling me,she will survive the finale somehow)a couple. As for elena,i think nina will leave the show after this season since they're kinda phasing her character out from the show gradually.Caroline and bonnie are the central characters now,no one likes elena anymore-so that's why i don't let her stupid actions bother me anymore!
Can someone please clear up this confusion for me? 1.How did bonnie open the cave back in 1994 when it was closed without the help of a hunter's tattoo? 2.How did the other vampires land up with lily back in 1903 if the prison was meant for lily alone?
1. the tattoo was just instructions. I suppose if she remembers the spell she doesn't really need the tattoo. 2. we dont really know who they are. if they were just people from the ship than how did they turn? we just don't know yet
She touched those tattoo to channel the power of them, remember? I have an explantion though it's a little far-fetched-Since silas was not there in 1994(since only only inanimate objects are present in the prison world),i think the cave portal was open.Coz the reason it was closed coz the travellers sealed it shut according to qetsiyah's instructions to secure the place. If he wasn't there,no need to close it the first place. As for Lily's minions,i'm not buying her whole redemption storyline.I think she's deliberately skipping some info about them.Since we know we will see 1903 prison world again,i guess we'll find about kai's fate along with that dessicated vampire's secret identity who fed on him(was he successful, though?).
Exactly, that was all really odd and awkward... But you are right, defan is so amazing this season - this scene, that moment with them talking about Stefan's feelings for Caroline over a drink, that epic scene when Damon came back... :) It's so cute, I love seeing them as family and one team, instead of constantly fighting...
They did make a right choice on this one-Go back to the basics-bond between the brothers. This is what made the show what it is now, above all that romance melodrama and all.
Every word of this :) Relationships come and go, especially on this show, but family is the thing that really counts - it's nice that they are beginning to see that.
Well, I wouldn't mind if he left town to lead a better life, not at all, it's just kinda awkward having him around, yet not doing anything... Theoretically his "calling" could fix this to a point but idk if I believe that's gonna happen.
So it's a really, really long shot and even I don't know whether I believe this, but just a thought:
The cure, Silas's tomb and all of that settings was created by Qetsiyah, right? The same Qetsiyah who's magic Bonnie has now. So that is the only semi-reasonable explanation that I can think of, that since Bonnie has her magic now, she is able to manipulate she spell put on the cave...
I have a theory-Since we know the prison world only consists of inanimate objects and not any actual person other than the one for which the prison was made,it's obvious in 1994 prison-silas was not there in that cave. Now we know from season 5 that the travellers locked that cave after they put silas there and sealed it shut by spell according to qetsiyah's intructions. Now,if in 1994,silas is not there, the cave portal wouldn't be closed coz there is no need to close it.So,it was open and bonnie knew the tattoo map direction coz they deciphered the code earlier season(season 4) & while in the prison world, bonnie and damon marked in the map,so no problem reaching there. As for the next confusion,as we know Grams struck a deal with someone unknown in season 5 finale so that bonnie lands in a prison world connected to bennet magic so that she could free herself later eventually-damon was holding her hands while they transported so he also landed up with her in that prison.IN the same way, when the witches intercepted Lily at the new york harbour, she was on the ship along with her minions in close vicinity-so,when they transported her, they landed up with her. It took a long time to think about these loopholes. What do you think?
That is entirely possible. I would expect the magic protecting the place to be the same, but maybe it really does work only when Silas is around, which he isn't, so good idea.
You are right, that seems very probable :) And if they never checked up on Lily then they didn't know that, which would explain why Kai (supposedly) didn't know...
I don't think anybody should take the stupid cure. Everyone and evrything has changed since the cure first reared its ugly head. Which of our characters would have a good reason to give up their immortality now, or want someone else to give it up? Bonnie and her mom should put the cure in a magical time capsule to be used far in the future if necessary. How do you like that, writers?
You're definitely a thinker - I like that. I'm not commenting on your theory, I just have two questions: (1) Why wasn't Silas on the island in 1994? If the cure was there so was Silas. In the 1994 prison world things were as they had been in that year. (2) Only inanimate objects are in the prison world? I don't get that. Why would Damon and Bonnie have eaten food and Lily need blood if they were inanimate?
It bothers me that Damon never seemed to need blood in the prison world but was eating food regularly, like pancakes and stew. Except for french fries and pickles, he never ate before. Why are our vampires suddenly eating food, e.g. at Caroline's "Friendsgiving" party? Because they have an adequate amount of blood in their systems so their bodies function almost normally, as Damon told us during that road trip to Atlanta? And they're only now following up on this?
Stefan and Lily have a pretty torturous existence as ripper vampires, that's a pretty good reason. Elena also never wanted to be a vampire even if she embraced it now.
They clearly stated in episode 2 that damon was still a vampire in that prison world,so he would definitely need blood and food to sustain him.Same goes for bonnie. The hospital was the probable source of the blood bags for damon, the one bonnie rushed into when kai hurt her.
As for the inanimate object theory, the prison world only consists of inanimate objects and not any actual person other than the one for which the prison was made for,so it's obvious in 1994 prison-silas was not there in that cave.Like back in jo's family house, the 1994 version also had that knife hidden in that tree stump.Jo hid it there in real world but she was not there in 1994,so why would it be still there in 1994 version-think about it.The objects say, such as cure but not the main person who is related to it,hence silas's absence.
As for lily's minions,i have a theory-s we know Grams struck a deal with someone unknown in season 5 finale so that bonnie lands in a prison world connected to bennet magic so that she could free herself later eventually-damon was holding her hands while they transported so he also landed up with her in that prison.IN the same way, when the witches intercepted Lily at the new york harbour, she was on the ship along with her minions in close vicinity-so,when they transported her, they landed up with her. That's why damon was allowed in that 1994 prison ans lily's minions were allowed with lily.
Stefan knows himself better now - stay away from human blood and no ripping will occur. And he stayed away from it for a good while, until his attempt to get Caroline to turn her humanity back on caused him to "relapse". He knew it would and that's why he asked to be "brought back".
Lily said she was taught how to control her blood lust by her "family". I'm taking her at her word until she proves to be wrong.
Yes, Elena never wanted to be a vampire, but as you said yourself she's embraced it now. She's learned control and can feed from blood bags instead of people. And now she's with Damon, a pretty good reason IMO to remain as she is.
OK, I get the hospital being a source of blood for Damon; I never thought of that. Hope they had good refrigeration, though! LOL (But I still don't get the vampires-eating-food thing. For 5 seasons I thought they sustained themselves on blood - period.)
I also get the inanimate thing. Only people the prison worlds were made for would be there in the flesh, therefore anything else there would have to be inanimate. Nobody else but Kai was there when Bonnie and Damon fell into 1994 so I had no reason to assume that Silas was - except I remember how he had the cure clutched tightly in his hand and I associated it being almost a part of him!
Maybe Lily and her "family" were holding hands in an attempt to protect Lily so they were all "poofed away" together.
Remember back in episode 11 of season 1,damon and elena took a road trip, they were sitting in a restaurant and elena asked him if they need to eat any food for living. He said they like to keep up appearances in the public so that no one has any suspicion even though they actually need it.Sometimes when you pretend over a span of centuries,it can become a force of habit, even though it's not a necessity.
And I remember that when Damon and Elena were in that bar they ordered hamburgers. He started munching on french fries and Elena asked him, did he even eat? Damon told her that as long as he keeps a proper diet of blood in his system, his body functions almost normally.
Besides sharing food naturally plays a big role in human bonding, so imho that is why Damon kept eating with Bonnie, because of the socializing aspect of it.
I think if they are going to end next season they should use it on one of the main three... i just really hope its not Elena. Maybe use it on Damon and then he falls for Bonnie?
Caroline - "Heads I Kill Tyler" - "Tails I Kill Matt" - OK this may sound mean but Please be "Heads" - Tyler Sorry Buddy but I just never understood or cared for your character.

Supernatural born killers. I like that. So, who's up for a Salvatore civil war? Because I think that's where we're headed.
ReplyDeleteIts like TVD is asking for low ratings
ReplyDeletesupernatural born killer i remember that from Supernatural for Dean
ReplyDeleteThe only silver lining for this Cure storyline is that maybe Elena will become likable again after she becomes human!
ReplyDeletelove Damon and Elena in the bathroom!!! where's the black clothes? Ripper
ReplyDeleteStefan, Lily, and Caroline against Damon and every other character who hasn't lost their mind.
ReplyDeleteWish i knew who Stefan was talking to when he asks that. Otoh i love how he's just chilling in the back while Caroline makes a decision who which one she wants to kill.

ReplyDeleteThe cure didn't kill Katherine. Only after Silas drained Katherine of all her blood (which contained the cure) did Katherine deteriorate and die. It was the removal of the cure that killed her.
ReplyDeleteyep that'll be a hell of a war
ReplyDeleteWhat's your theory on this?I can't believe we're back to season 4 AGAIN!!Urgh!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable only 5 eps left within the season. This makes me quite sad.
ReplyDeleteSeems like they intend to go out with a bang! ^_^
I assume Matt was all Donovich and calling up on their good hearts. I mean you see Stefan prqctically laughing in his face.
ReplyDeleteno i think the cure sped up her aging process
ReplyDeletei wonder if kai is dead? and i wonder if that one vampire in lilies cellar is someone from the
ReplyDeletefounding families... they kept showing only the one guy.
and if kai is dead...i wonder what it will do to the Gemini coven?
IMO Elena is the most tolerable she's ever been. I found her most annoying as a human and a newbie vamp. I don't think I can suffer through either of those Elena's again.
ReplyDeleteno chance in hell of that happening for me at least.. she has become so damned annoying..... so much to the point in last nights ep.. that I wanted to pull my own hair out by the roots..

ReplyDeleteIt be good angle if Elena takes the cure and then as a human was back to falling for Stefan, with Stefan now with Caroline.
ReplyDeleteI'm still bummed Alaric isn't an Original, but the cure thing is stupid.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when she barks orders at the brothers, come on 160+ year old vampire taking orders from a new vampire, she needs a goo LOL.
ReplyDelete"Heads I kill Tyler, tails I kill Matt... "
ReplyDeleteOh Caroline, can't you do both, please?
lol
ReplyDeleteand I wanted to puke when she went on to Damon about the two greatest loves of her life...
if her "family" are all from the founding families and they start settling back into town it could be very interesting. even more interesting if one/all of them have ties to Gemini coven

ReplyDeleteI guess Lily is a possibility. but if she becomes human it doesn't leave much story for next season.
ReplyDeleteWhy not? Lily is the mother that Damon and Stefan didn't have for the majority of life, I'm sure that bringing her into the gang would cause some big changes, besides she would be the only real adult in the group then (we have Alaric, but he's not exactly a regular adult, he's kinda too cool for that, LOL)...
ReplyDeleteI also get the inanimate thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I remember that when Damon and Elena were in that bar they ordered hamburgers. He started munching on french fries and Elena asked him, did he even eat? Damon told her that as long as he keeps a proper diet of blood in his system, his body functions almost normally.
ReplyDeleteBesides sharing food naturally plays a big role in human bonding, so imho that is why Damon kept eating with Bonnie, because of the socializing aspect of it.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a polite thing to do.
ReplyDeletei think the hunters tattoo was just the map to find it , and she already knew because they were there in 2012
ReplyDeletemaybe Kai poofed away like he didwhen Bon Bon was going to stab him.
ReplyDeleteI think if they are going to end next season they should use it on one of the main three... i just really hope its not Elena.
ReplyDeleteMaybe use it on Damon and then he falls for Bonnie?
Why is Caroline a white dress!! Oh please please let them Elope in Vegas!!! I can dream can't I? ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat is/was the air date for this one?...
