  • 14:07 - Canadian Actress Alberta Watson Passes Away At 60
Toronto-born actress Alberta Watson has passed away. She was 60.

Watson's passing was confirmed by her agent Pam Winter, who told ET Canada, "It is the case, sadly. Alberta passed away on Saturday evening at Kensington Hospice in Toronto. Her husband Ken was by her side. We await details of a memorial service for her."

Watson had an acting career that spanned five decades, and was a familiar face in Canadian and U.S. film and TV. On the big screen, she played memorable roles in such films as In Praise of Older Women, David O. Russell's Spanking the Monkey and Atom Egoyan's The Sweet Hereafter.

It was on television, however, that Watson made her biggest impact, appearing in series ranging from Hill Street Blues and Law & Order to The Outer Limits and The Border. Her longest-running and most memorable role was as Madeline Pierce in La Femme Nikita, which ran from 1997-2001.

More recently, she was seen in recurring roles in 24, as CTU head Erin Driscoll in season four, and as Senator Madeline Pierce in The CW's reboot Nikita, reprising her role from La Femme Nikita.

  • 09:02 - Community: Joel McHale Interview about the changes between NBC and web based TV
“Community” returned for a sixth season on Yahoo this week, but star Joel McHale insists the show hasn’t become an R-rated free-for-all just because it’s streaming online. “We’re not walking around naked and swearing,” he tells Variety. McHale also talked about the show’s rabid following, which he claims are the best-looking fans in the world. Read the full interview below:

How are things different at Yahoo?

There is a different culture, definitely. But when you’re on a show that is not “The Big Bang Theory” or the darling of the administration, you have a sense of, “Well, like see what the ratings are, and maybe you’ll get picked up.” We were always the last thought over at the Peacock. They were always like, “You’re lucky to be on the air.” That attitude is completely different at Yahoo. Yahoo is like a bunch of freshmen at their first drinking party. They’re cheering us on. They’re so happy about the show. They’re excited about it. We’re having a premiere party. That never happened, ever. There will be actual promotion. That never happened, ever. We would always fight for any promotion. These Internet portal things are going places. If you would have said that shopping service and the DVD mailing service were going to dominate the Emmys, I would be like, I don’t know…

How is the show different creatively?

(Showrunner) Dan (Harmon) is so creative. You can’t stop him. His scripts are f—king great. It’s unapologetic for the places it goes. Creatively, it’s the same show, thank God. He’s not changing the show because it’s on the Internet. We’re not walking around naked and swearing.

  • 08:25 - Silicon Valley - Season 2 - Synopsis
    * Note: This has been translated from the Israeli press release. Thanks IDO for the heads up.

After revolutionising the high-tech world with their product, Richard and his "Pied Piper" teammates, Erlich, Jared, Gilfoyle and Dinesh can expect a bright future, But their excitement disappears when Gavin Belson from "Hooli" turning his lawyers against them as part of a petty revenge plan.

"Reviga", The empire founded by Peter Gregory (Christopher Evan Welch, who died while shooting the series), is making big changes, and Monica is under huge pressure, choosing between Richard and her job with the new manager, Laurie.

The presence of Richard's old friend, Big Head, is starting to be more often, when Gavin decide to make the most of his potential.

Corrected the first two paragraphs, but I have no idea what to do with the third one which makes zero sense to me whatsoever.

I love that line so much! Can't wait for Penny Dreadful to come back.

  3. Same here. I hated her on true blood, and was expecting the same on The 100.
I can say I was surprised to see how good she is (and now see her character on True Blood wasn't just written to be hated, her performance was amazing to get such a strong reaction).
I now look forward to seeing her future work.
