“POWER” RETURNS JUNE 6th ON STARZ — First Look at Season Two Key Art

Beverly Hills, Calif., March 18, 2015 – Starz today announced the highly anticipated return of original series “Power” on Saturday, June 6th at 9pm ET/PT. The second season of “Power” features ten hour-long episodes, a bump from the first season’s order of eight episodes.

Starz also released the never-before-seen key art for season two of “Power,” which features the main “Power”-players fighting to stay on top: Omari Hardwick as James “Ghost” St. Patrick, Lela Loren as Angela Valdes, Naturi Naughton as Tasha St. Patrick, Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan, Sinqua Walls as Shawn and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Kanan.

Season one of “Power” was well-received by both critics and fans, earning rave reviews and steadily increasing viewership throughout the season. From Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and show creator and Executive Producer Courtney Kemp Agboh (“The Good Wife”), “Power” straddles the glamorous Manhattan lifestyles of the rich and infamous and the underworld of the international drug trade.

Season two picks up right where it left off: James “Ghost” St. Patrick doubling down on his drug business to save his nightclub and dream of a legitimate future. Ghost’s work troubles pale in comparison to juggling his relationship with his wife, Tasha, and his first love, Angela, who’s also an Assistant US Attorney investigating his drug organization.

Ghost is set further back from his dream by his business partner, Tommy, who loves the drug game, and his former mentor, Kanan, fresh out of jail and looking for revenge.

Season two has Ghost in a race against himself: Can he get out of the drug game alive before Angela discovers who he is?

“Power” premieres on Saturday, June 6th at 9pmET/PT on Starz with a ten hour-long episode second season.

David Knoller, Mark Canton and Randall Emmett serve as Executive Producers on “Power.” The show is also produced by G-Unit Films and Television, the production company launched by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

The media industry is racing toward an Internet-TV future at a breathtaking pace. But the swift changes, highlighted by efforts from Apple Inc., Dish Network Corp. and others, are giving consumers an array of confusing options and forcing entertainment giants to confront some sober realities.

Some are making headway. Discovery, owner of Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and TLC, and Viacom, owner of MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon, are in talks to be on the Apple service, people familiar with the matter said. Some A+E Networks channels will be added to Sling TV’s core package by the end of March, the companies announced Tuesday.

  • 19:45 - Apple Planning to Launch Streaming TV Service Featuring ABC, CBS, Fox and More
Apple Inc.’s lofty plans to build an online television service are coming into sharper focus.

The service would have about 25 channels, anchored by broadcasters such as ABC, CBS and Fox and would be available on Apple devices such as the Apple TV, they said.

For now, the talks don’t involve NBCUniversal, owner of the NBC broadcast network and cable channels like USA and Bravo, because of a falling-out between Apple and NBCUniversal parent company Comcast Corp., the people familiar with the matter said.

Said David Michael Latt, Producer, The Asylum: “The sharks and tornadoes get all the glory, but we would like to thank our long-time marketing guru Mike DiGrazia who first suggested ‘Oh hell no!’ A dedicated fan of the genre, Mike created the tag lines for 1 and 2 – ‘Enough Said!’ and ‘Shark Happens’ – as well as the Sharknado posters, including the original, which was a viral sensation on its own.”

Sharknado 3 will cause mass destruction in Washington, D.C. before roaring down the Eastern Seaboard and into Florida, and stars Ian Ziering as Fin, Tara Reid as April and Cassie Scerbo as Nova. Joining them will be David Hasselhoff as Fin’s father, Gil; Bo Derek will play April’s mother, May; Ryan Newman will play April and Fin’s daughter, Claudia Shepard, and Jack Griffo will portray Claudia’s friend, Billy.

The pilot script is really good and I'm saddened by this title change, because Bev is almost as important as Chev in it... Here's my preview for those interested http://season-zero.com/chev-bev-abc-pilot-preview/

  4. Bosch renewal is indeed a good news, it was an excellent show.

Regarding Black Sails: how many episodes this season has? Somehow I remembered the same as the S1 (8), but obviously I was wrong.

  7. 'Chev & Beverly' would have been another terribly-named ABC comedy. Glad ABC went with 'Chevy'

  8. Hhhmmm... that Apple streaming service sounds interesting... I wonder if it will a US only thing though... hope not... and I wonder if it will be some sort of application... probably one you have to pay for... Anyhoo.... I think definitely sounds like it's in line with what I think TV will look like in the future...

I can't help but appreciate how aware and on the nose the Sharknado franchise is... there's a lot of dignity in admitting you're a complete joke and owning it.

Not a great sign for that Chevy Chase pilot.

Why? Mr Bond, don't you look dapper...
