  • 00:05 : Black-ish - Sean Diddy Combs and Mark J Blige to Guest Star
MUSIC INDUSTRY LEGENDS SEAN “DIDDY” COMBS, AND MARY J. BLIGE
TO GUEST STAR IN “black-ish” SEASON FINALE
Music industry legends and longtime artistic collaborators Sean “Diddy” Combs and Mary J. Blige will reunite, this time on the small screen, as guest stars on the season finale of ABC’s critically acclaimed hit comedy “black-ish,“ in an episode set in the 1920s Harlem Renaissance.

The episode, “Pops’ Pops’ Pops,” finds Jack and Diane (Miles Brown, Marsai Martin) looking for clues about their roots for their class assignment, a history of the Johnson family. But they can’t find anything out about the family’s past. Pops (Laurence Fishburne) comes to the rescue with the colorful story of how “Pops’ Pops’ Pops,” great-great grandfather, Drexler Johnson, bet the future of the Johnson family against a ruthless gangster, Elroy Savoy. The episode will air in May.

Combs (TV/film credits include “Entourage,” “CSI: Miami,” “A Raisin in the Sun,” “Get Him to the Greek”) will appear as Savoy, the gangster in question, owner of the swinging Savoy club where the Johnson ancestors all met (including Anthony Anderson as Drexler and Tracee Ellis Ross as showgirl Bea). Blige (TV/film credits include “Empire,” “Entourage,” “Rock of Ages,” “Betty and Coretta”) will play Mirabelle Calais, the club headliner. Renowned choreographer Fatima Robinson will choreograph the episode.

“black-ish” stars Anthony Anderson as Andre “Dre” Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson, Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, Marcus Scribner as Andre Johnson, Jr., Miles Brown as Jack Johnson, Marsai Martin as Diane Johnson and special guest star, Laurence Fishburne.

“Pops’ Pops’ Pops” was written by Vijal Patel and directed by Jonathan Groff.

About The SpoilerTV Daily Newsreel

Every day 100's of items are submitted to us and we don't always have the time to make separate posts for the news and/or there is so much that it would quickly push all other items off the homepage.

So a result we've come up with the idea of the Newsreel, which will feature smaller shows and news items as they happen.

There will be a new Newsreel each day, and as news is added we will update the post and and push it back to the top of the site so that you can see that new items have been added. A tweet of the item will also be sent to our @SpoilerTV account.

New Items will be listed at the top of the article.

This will allow us to provide more news on more shows in a much more timely fashion

  7. Wow at the Justified and Americans promos. Justified looks like Duffy might sell out Katherine, I keep thinking he was the original snitch that got her husband sent away so maybe he is snitching again.

And Martha on the Americans finally getting a great story.

  8. I think my day was made when Art saw Duffy in the tanning bed. I am honestly going to grieve for these characters.

  9. Kinda have a feeling the Melissa & Joey crew knew this was going to be the last season from quite early on.

YAY! At finally Riley owning up to the whole charade and telling Danny on Baby Daddy!

(Sidenote: That new ABC family promo announcer is really bad...)

I haven't seen the first Hotel Transylvania but I remember thinking it looked cute... and so does the sequel!

  10. I am as well, Justified has my favorite set of characters on TV, just because everyone from the main to the many supporting characters and the dumbass criminals are all such fun.
