The Musketeers - The Accused - Advance Preview + Dialogue Teasers

Spoiler warning: As always there are teasers and hints ahead in my preview. However there are a few larger spoilers for the rest of the season that have been revealed in various places. I haven’t made any mentioned to them in my preview, but be aware that they could come up in the comment section below. Most of these have stayed under the radar so far, and there are many fans who do not wish to be spoiled by them. I would just ask that people please be considerate before sharing the details on social media sites so that their enjoyment of the show isn’t spoiled. Many thanks.

The Accused picks up more or less where The Prodigal Father left off. Anne and Rochefort are regaining their composure after his assault on her and are deciding what their next move should be. Naturally both camps have the same plan, which is that they must get to Louis and provide him with their side of the story. Unfortunately, the Comte is the one who has been playing the long game and already has the king secluded. So while the queen has to wait for help to arrive in the form of an armed escort, he is able to sneak in his false accusation of treason against her first.

Fearing what may happen if she stays at the Palace, the Musketeers smuggle Anne out and take her to safety while they plan their next move. Have they underestimated just how insane Rochefort is though, and how far he is willing to go in order to blacken the queen’s name and reputation?

Once again the show is back to using a multi-purpose title, the titular ‘accused’ character could be one of many. We have the obvious two above who attempt to reach Louis to order to tell their side of the tale. Catherine from Pinon is back this week, so I’d say Milady definitely fits the bill. Then there is Marguerite, who is being manipulated to avoid being implicated in an affair her family would disapprove of. Aramis also, as he is guilty of treason, though can it be realistically proved in any way, and of course Constance is also behind bars at one point too, but what crime is she guilty of?

Finally, there is one other person who breaks the law. In fact they admit that they are somewhat of a professional when it comes to their particular form of misconduct. But this is a good thing, as it could lead to uncovering the evidence that the Musketeers need to expose Rochefort as a Spanish spy.

As we saw in the promo Milady has decided which side she is going to align herself with, it seems being half throttled to death and forced to beg for your life has that effect on a gal. Not that I think she was ever particularly interested in feeding any information to Rochefort in the first place, even before her revealing chat with ‘Princess Louise’ I have felt that she has been spying on him rather than for him.

Let’s not forget that she did forewarn him that he’d be wise not to make an enemy of her when he unceremoniously threw her out of the Louvre. The fact that she recognised Francesco for what he was as soon as she hit the streets means that she too has been biding her time perhaps. Her compensation package may not be what she was initially holding out for, but she might end up gaining a lot more than she ever thought possible.

This hangman has been solved. Treville would be proud of the teamwork this week, I'm going to have to find something sneaky and Rochefort like for the finale!! The new Trailer Teasers have been added below.

The picture clue has been solved. Hum (Hill), Street, (Hide and) Seek + Anagram = The Musketeers

The three other guys find out about what went on at the convent last season, and therefore who the real father of the Dauphin is, in a scene at the garrison this week. There are various emotions in a short space of time – disbelief, amazement, and some anger mixed with reassuring congratulations from one member. It is a superb character scene, a real fan pleaser.

K and Y won the first poll and have been added
W won the second poll and has been added
B won the third poll and has been added
U won the fourth poll and has been added
C won the fifth poll and has been added

The Accused airs on Saturday March 14 at 9pm on BBC America and Friday 20th March at 9pm on BBC 1 in the UK. Below are a few dialogue teasers to see you through until then, I will fill in any correct guesses on who said what later in the week. Don't forget to come back to vote in our poll after the episode and let us know what you thought.

  1. I've got a strange feeling about the next episodes. Something bad is going on, isn't it?
I haven't read any huge spoilers, by the way. It's just a huge hunch.

Literally, Rochefort has nothing against Anne, except the adoration of King Louis (wake up, dude, and grow some balls). She could explain the situation in a lot of ways. She can say that she has given the pendant to the musketeer because he saved her life (that's the truth, by the way). In a normal world, she's a victim of a senseless sexual assault and she's a Queen (and there's also a witness: Constance). More powerful than this.

“You can’t let her go, it’s written all over your face” d'Art to Athos about Milady?

“Meanwhile the king is bouncing another man’s child on his knee. Your morality will not stand, Musketeer" Treville to Aramis? Which, ouch! if it is.

“If you really love her there’s one thing you can do to really prove it” Porthos to Aramis about the Queen?

Ooo the hangman when it has no letters revealed. What fun to be had! Lol

Is Lemay back? But who's getting hurt again besides Louis (for which infection doesn't fit)?

Thanks for the preview Sandi. I usually am not good with these guesses but I decided to guess because they looked interesting. I wonder if we will see Anne and Aramis talk or share a cute moment together in this episode. It looks as though Aramis will not be around much when the musketeers take the Queen to the nuns place.

Sandi, sorry, but confused by punctuation- is it a hyphen on the third line of the hangman?

I wonder if Constance tries to take the Dauphin and gets in trouble for attempted kidnap again. That could be why Marguerite is yelling for 'help'!? Otherwise where is the baby in all of this? Neither the Queen nor Aramis would be happy their son was left behind with Idiot King and Rochefort.

    ReplyDelete
  10. "You can't let her go, it's written all over your face" that has to be Catherine to Athos.

"I'm not afraid, i love you" sounds like constagnan.

"I swear I won't let anything happen to you because of me" aramis to anne.

"You have no future without me" Rochefort to Marguerite, because her reputation is ruined. What is she to do? :(

    ReplyDelete
  11. I will gave it a try:
"You can't let her go ..." Someone to Athos about Milady
"I am not afraid I love you" Constance to D'Artagnan
"Meanwhile the King ..." Rochefort to Athos
"You have no future ..." Rochefort to Marguerite
"I swear I will not allow ..." Anne to Aramis or Aramis to Anne
"If you really love her ..." Athos or Porthos to Aramis
"At least she had the guts..." Someone about Constance or Milady
"I had a feling you might prove stubborn" Rochefort to Milady
"Let her think I am still angry..." D'Artagnan to someone about Constance because she stayed behind
" There might be some risk of infection" Dr Lemay to Rochefort about his eye
"There is only you and I now" Rochefort to Anne

    Too many Rochefort lines though!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Athos to Aramis (and I fear that sentence might continue with: "Stay away from her"...)

My mind will explode. This way of thinking it's really unnerving me.
Fingers crossed things will not go in that direction!

    ReplyDelete
  13. The infection I think is about Rochefort's eye.

    ReplyDelete
  14. “Let her think I am still angry for now, and later I will forgive her bad judgement”
Louis to Rochefort about the Queen. That could be the reason who bring Rochefort to poison him.

    ReplyDelete
  15. You're totally right! I'd completely forgotten about Rochefort! :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm kind of driving myself crazy here (probably for no good reason at all), but last night I kept thinking that Anne's "I will never be free to love as I want" in ep 8 was probably the biggest foreshadowing they could've given us as to the direction this might be going. Or not. I don't know. Wouldn't be the first time they surprise me. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't think they will end it like they only had like two scenes so far and they have a baby together connecting them forever I don't know what in store for them

    ReplyDelete
  18. Maybe it is just that I am a hopelessly romantic, but I was thinking about it now that you mentioned, and I agree with your thoughts, but the fact that she can not love the way she wants does not mean she can not love somehow ... I refuse to abandon ship!

    ReplyDelete
  19. “I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” D'Artagnan to Constance?

“If you really love her there’s one thing you can do to really prove it” Rochefort to D'Artagnan?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I took that phrase like the constatation of a fact. She believe in what she said because her and Aramis are the first ones to recognize the gravity and sadness of their situation, but... i don't know, they are so aware of the danger that at some point i'd like to see them surprised in a scenario that actually will give them a bit more freedom. (I'm obviously speaking of a possible King death at the end of the serie. They would not be 100% free, but more free than now for sure.)

    ReplyDelete
  21. "You can't let her go it's written all over your face" Someone to Athos about Milady
"Im not afraid I love you" Constance to D'Art
"Meanwhile the King is bounceing another man's child on his knee...." Rochefort to Aramis
"You have no future without me, everything I do you are a part of" Rochefort to Marguerite
"I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me" Anne to Constance or Aramis to Anne
"If you really lover her there is one thing you can do to really prove it" Athos or Porthos to Aramis about Anne
"As least she had the guts to stay when none of us would" D'Art to someone about Constance or Athos to someone about Milady
"I had a feeling you might prove stubborn" Rochefort to Milady or Constance
"Let her think I am still angry for now and later I will forgive her bad judgement" Rochefort to someone about Anne or Louis to someone about Anne
"There might be some risk of infection" Lemay to Rochefort
"There is only you and I now" While my Annamis shipper heart would like this to be Aramis to Anne or Anne to Aramis I think it is Rochefort to either Louis or Anne

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't think it is a foreshadow really. I think it's a simple fact that she will never be free to love who she wants especially since she is the Queen. In my opinion it will be quite the opposite. She will probably get what she wants which is to be with Aramis. Its kind of like that saying, "when you have nothing, you've got nothing to lose." The writers do see that she is lonely and hopeless and so I'm sure they'll give her a happy ending for sure. If they don't, they'll just be dragging their storyline and I'm sure it'll get nowhere at some point.

  23. Thank you for the preview Sandi :) - it's going to be so hard staying away from this forum after next Friday. This is shaping up to be a fantastic finale to a wonderful series.

I am particularly intrigued as to when/how Constance gets imprisoned - is that before or after the Musketeers take the Queen to safety. I am surprised that they don't take Constance with them. When and how will d'Artagnan find out about her being locked up. I'm also looking forward to the Catherine/Milady showdown - will Athos save Milady? what secrets will be revealed as a result of this? I had thoughts this would happen in episode 10.

Now to start solving this hangman! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sandi makes a good point above and others of you have made the same point. Yes Aramis could be accused of treason but what evidence is there really of Anne and Aramis sleeping together or having any kind of romance. When Rochefort asked Milady about it she thought he was mad (which btw the way he is) She was living in the palace as the King's mistress and seems to have ways of knowing all kinds of goings on and she thought it was insane so obviously with the exception of Athos, Constance and a few intimate looks in front of Marguerite the Queen and Aramis have been pretty good at hiding it. As far as the crucifix as others have said it was a gift to a Musketeer for saving her life that she presented to him in front of others. Even in the book the Queen presents D'Art with a gift so not so out of line or character at all for the Queen to present her soliders or subjects with such gifts.
I love Anne but why oh why did it have to be a gift that Rochefort had given her?!? Of course it's part of the story line and what set Rochefort off but I'd love to know if she just forgot that he had given it to her or what. Also, I guess most of her jewelry if not all of it would have been given to her by others so almost impossible for her not to re-gift I guess. I'd just love to hear a conversation about this....it's the little things that get me going lol.
As far as who fathered the dauphin if you have no real evidence of the affair or a affair then as far as I know there is not DNA testing at that time in France so should be no question about this. Now granted this is a time when women even Queens don't have a lot of say or power and just the suggestion of impropriety could be dangerous. Still I'm ready for the letters to come back into play they are far more dangerous and intriguing as far as I'm concerned and something that Rochefort actuallly has tangible proof of.
Also, could be a nice transition or play into possible hositilities or war with Spain and certainly would seriously affect Anne and Louis' relationship as he has always in the end depended on her and at times gone to her for advice but if he feels she was conspiring with her brother that would definitely have a long lasting affect even if it's proven Rochefort is a spy and pressured Anne into writing the letters. She certainly didn't write them with any malicious or nefarious intent the damage will still have been done.
Finally I really hope that Rocheforts attemped sexual assault on the Queen doesn't get glossed over so to speak. Constance witnessed it and I'm sure Aramis/the Musketeers will believe it happened. I just hope others especially Louis will also believe it as well. Now I need to quit rambling and get to work!! Thanks Sandi!!

  27. As I said before I think she'll be framed for poisoning the King and Rochefort will put her in prison. She was the main witness when Rochefort sexually assaults the Queen and I'm pretty sure this is enough to bring him down so it'll be one of his plans to get rid of her so that he won't be found guilty.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anon(ymous Goat)10 March 2015 at 14:22

It actually makes me wonder whether the others will find out the truth or will they just think Rochefort is mad too, because he is, so all Aramis and Anne need to do is protest it...It would annoy me but its possible. Porthos was there when Aramis was innocently given the gift afterall. However, Porthos was there and saw the stare and should now realise the truth if you ask me but then he/d'Art and Treville seem to have noticed nothing so far...

  29. Anon(ymous Goat)10 March 2015 at 14:26

I think the Queen will tell her to get the Dauphin but guards will suddenly appear and drag her off...Otherwise where is that baby?! Lol. Altho poisoning the King is also possible...who knows?! The 20th can't come soon enough.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "if you really love her there's one thing you can do to prove it" rochefort to dartangnan or aramis

    ReplyDelete
  31. The baby should be with the Governess. In episode 8 we see that the Queen doesn't get to spend much time with her son. There is a pic of Marguerite with the baby. But then again you might be right but I feel like Rochefort will want to get rid of her in some way. I feel you tho, can't wait till I see the episode. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I also think that after all this, even after it is proved that Rochefort is a spy , the King will not trust her as he did before. She did write the letter against his instructions anyway, and we all know how he gets when someone disobey him. Plus Rochefort will be a huge disappointment for him, he may become more suspicious then ever, that will lay the narrative nicelly to start S3 with the estrangement between the King and the Queen. Do not worry about the assault, Aramis will see to it!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I really hope it all comes out and they find out the truth. No more secrets! None of them would betray Aramis or the Queen and in my mind the need to know the truth in order to protect the Queen, Aramis even the dauphin now and in the future. I guess like you said Aramis and Anne could deny it for their sakes and everyone's and the Muskies would just think Rochefort was truly mad but I want full disclosure!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. In the episode ten synopsis it said that the musketeers must protect Aramis and Anne from Rochefort, so it make me think that they know. They have to. It would be highly disappointing if they don't.

    ReplyDelete
  35. You know what I would really love to see? The boys chewing out Aramis for getting involved with the Queen and Anne stepping in and defending him and their...well, liaison. That would be highly satisfying...lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. "I also think that after all this, even after it is proved that Rochefort is a spy , the King will not trust her as he did before"

That could be so interesting to see in S3!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I can only imagine dartangnan and porthos reactions to aramis and the queen I remember porthos telling aramis to aim a little lower for all their sake when he noticed him giving the queen the stare

    ReplyDelete
  38. "he is able to sneak in his false accusation of treason"
I think this line totally speaks of the letters. The accusation of adultery is 100% true, even if can't be provided with any proof, while the letters are totally false.
And i like how we are totally dying for an Aramis reaction at the assault!

    ReplyDelete
  39. That would defiantly be satisfying ! She could probably defend him by saying she loves him and he could say the same thing about her. A girl can dream !

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think Constance will try to do something to help the Queen on her own, maybe get the baby, maybe warn the boys, maybe look for the letters, and get separated from the others then she is captured, probably accused of the poisioning since she is with Dr Lemay in the King's chambers. It would be sold as part of the plot of killing the King and taking over the power by the Queen, and as she is her confidant she will be involved. Doing this she will be accused instead of accusing! The boys will have to leave to save the Queen, but D'Artagnan and Athos will come back for her (as it is said in the epi 10 preview) and of course they will save her.

    ReplyDelete
  41. True! Porthos said to him to keep his sight a little lower, "for all of us sake". Ah! And remember when in the first episode Athos said "he can't be that stupid" referring about Aramis and Adele? I always think "don't worry Athos, he can be even more stupid!"

    ReplyDelete
  42. It made me laugh! :)! Poor, stupid, naughty boy!

    ReplyDelete
  43. And there's more!
    Aramis: Why not Adele?
Porthos: Oh, i don't know, let's think! Because she's the mistress of the most powerful man in France?

Aramis must have thought CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think the truth will come out, even if it is not said out loud, they will know it is true. They know Aramis! And yes they will be mad but I think they will also see that he has been carrying a huge burden and tried his best to keep everyone safe, they will forgive him, but not before punching him a bit!

    ReplyDelete

“I’m not afraid, I love you” - Constance to d'Artagnan
    My horrible guesses:

“Meanwhile the king is bouncing another man’s child on his knee. Your morality will not stand, Musketeer” Rochefort to Aramis

“You have no future without me now, everything I do you are a part of” Milady to Athos or Athos to Milady? LOL

“I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” Aramis to Anne

“If you really love her there’s one thing you can do to really prove it” Athos to Aramis

“At least she had the guts to stay when none of us would” Porthos to????

“I had a feeling you might prove stubborn” Rochefort to Constance

  48. Well I hope you guys are right, but I'll stay a pessimist for now and will just be that much happier if everything turns out well. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Me, too! I mean, Aramis DOES look quite murderous when he comes back to the palace in the promo, so I hope he's on his way to rip Rochefort a new one.

    ReplyDelete
  50. am starting to think the quote " meanwhile the king is bouncing another man's child on his knee your morality will not stand musketeer" might be milady saying it

    ReplyDelete
  51. You may just be right Celiane good point! Yes Aramis needs to throttle him for that!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love how he just brush aside marguerite like get out of my way am all here for angry aramis

    ReplyDelete
  53. He probably wrote the 17th century version of the Bro Code ("Brothers before Mothers...unless you know, we're talking ACTUAL mothers because your one night stand got kinda out of hand")

    ReplyDelete
  54. “There is only you and I now” Rochefort to Anne
“I’m not afraid, I love you” Anne to Aramis
You can’t let her go, it’s written all over your face” Milady to Rochefort or Marguritte to Aramis
    Thank you for preview

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ok now that you have mentioned if Aramis does become a priest and shows up dressed with a brown cloak I will have a heart attack! And if you think about it the Bro Code is kind of all for one and one for all. :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dartangnan will be like if this gets me or Constance hang I will take it very personally lol

    ReplyDelete
  57. do you think the king find out the truth about the Dauphin

    ReplyDelete
  58. Today Barney is really cheering us up, our man!

    ReplyDelete
  59. D'Artagnan will be beside himself! But maybe he will be more understanding since he also got involved with a married woman! I remember on S1 a scene in which Aramis suggests something between him and Constance and he says "She is married" and Aramis replies "You really are from Gascony", well not anymore!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Based on Sandi's preview I'm very curious what it is that Constance is imprisoned for. we are all assimg it's as an accomplice to treason, but Sandi's cryptic comment makes me wonder what else it might be. Could be framed for poisoning the king, could be trying to save the dauphin (but again?). I am even wondering if it could be Bonacieux's murder or something else - was adultery punishable at that time in France?

    ReplyDelete
  61. It could sounds like her, but that "musketeer" make me think of Rochefort. He always approach them like that, like he's insulting them instead of calling them for what they actually are.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I doubt it. Rochefort could suggest it but then when his madness shows itself at the end the King would probably mark it down to crazy delusions. I mean, that would be a deal-breaker for the king - to find out his heir is not his.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yeah he always use that musketeer but who is he saying to though

    ReplyDelete
  64. I definitely think the last one is King Louis about Queen Anne. That's more words than Athos has ever strung together in a single sentence.

    ReplyDelete
  65. “You can’t let her go, it’s written all over your face” -- Catherine to Athos

“I’m not afraid, I love you” -- Constance to D'Artagnan

“Meanwhile the king is bouncing another man’s child on his knee. Your morality will not stand, Musketeer” -- one of the Nuns to Aramis

“You have no future without me now, everything I do you are a part of” -- Rochefort to Queen Anne

“I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” -- D'Artagnan to Constance

“If you really love her there’s one thing you can do to really prove it” -- Lamay (Lamey?) to D'Artagnan

“At least she had the guts to stay when none of us would” -- Aramis about Marguerite

“I had a feeling you might prove stubborn” Rochefort to Milady

“Let her think I am still angry for now, and later I will forgive her bad judgement” King Louis to Rochefort, about Queen Anne

“There might be some risk of infection” -- Lamay (Lamey?) to/about Constance

    ReplyDelete
  66. a few of the quotes could be attributed to quite a few people.

Can't let her go.....Catherine/Athos (i suppose could be about Aramis and Queen but Aramis has not had her so to speak in a relationship they have never one).

    I had a feeling.... could be Catherine/Milady, Rochefort/Anne, Rochefort/Marg

King bouncing........Rochefort/Aramis because of the way the person says Musketeer (a Rochefort staple this series)

You have no future.......Rochefort/Marg (depends on how it is being said as much as what is being said)

I am not afraid......Anne/Aramis - Constance/D'art (would not be Milady to Athos!)

I swear.....Anne/Aramis, in the scene we expect between Catherine/Milday/Athos (he could say it to Milady or she could say it to him depending on what is revealed)

At least she had the guts.....D'art to the gang about Constance staying with Rochefort it the doc is having to tend to his eye?

    Actually i have no idea!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Maybe he telling just half truth. Truth about adultery, lie about letters.

    ReplyDelete
  68. This week is tough, but here are my guesses:

“I’m not afraid, I love you” Anne to Aramis

“Meanwhile the king is bouncing another man’s child on his knee. Your morality will not stand, Musketeer” Rochefort to Aramis

“You have no future without me now, everything I do you are a part of” Milady to Athos

“I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” Aramis to Anne

“At least she had the guts to stay when none of us would” d'Artagnan to the Musketeers

“I had a feeling you might prove stubborn” Rochefort to Marguerite

“Let her think I am still angry for now, and later I will forgive her bad judgement” Louis to Rochefort

“There might be some risk of infection” Lemay to Rochefort

    ReplyDelete
  69. Unfortunately, glancing over the preview it would confirm my fear that once again too much is being squeezed into one episode. Almost 2 eps in one unless the outcome of neither is tied up in episode 9.

Getting the Queen to safety and all that goes with it, dialogue, action etc. is more or less one episode on its own. To also take off in another direction with the return of Catherine for the supposed big shoot out with Milady indicates to me (i could be wrong of course) that a satisfactory outcome is going to be difficult to produce.

    ReplyDelete
  70. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:14

Yeah, after reading other comments I thought that the king would be a better guess!

    ReplyDelete
  71. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:16

I really really hope that “I’m not afraid, I love you” and "I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” are both Anne and Aramis!!

But knowing how Annamis is going this season, it won't be.

    ReplyDelete
  72. The "I'm not afraid, I love you" quote could be either Anne to Aramis or Constance to D'artagnan. Both Anne and Constance are in dangerous situations, it fits perfectly for both but I do not think we will get an I love you from Anne just yet.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'm wondering what we actually get besides a lot of angst moments. -.-

    ReplyDelete
  74. I guess we will have to wait and see till Saturday :/ Crossing my fingers we get some cute scenes between the two!

    ReplyDelete
  75. You know, the more I think about it: we're expecting a lot of angst, we're hoping for the exact opposite - we're probably gonna get neither. I think we might be going into this with way too high expectations...

    ReplyDelete
  76. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:28

To be honest, I went into it with an expectation of a repeat of ep9 S1, but that has now been lowered to a hope of even an acknowledgement (well, not really but you get my point) of the love between them!

I'm expecting nothing, hoping for a proper love scene! I, sadly, don't even think Annamis will survive :'( Here's hoping!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:29

Crossing my fingers and toes :P

Hoping Sandi can give us some encouragement

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm not expecting great things like an happy ending, never did, but i want some precious moment that i can re-watch all over again while waiting for S3. At least!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I know I am going in with high expectations and I don't really mind that. I wanna see them together. Heck I didn't even think that we will be getting a kiss let alone a confession from Anne that she loves him (indirectly) this season.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Idk about u guys but that scene in episode 9 from season 1, I've re watched it so many times i've pretty much memorized their movement since the moment they kiss till the moment they are in bed. I also know the exact words they say. This is how obsessed I am with these two...haha

    ReplyDelete
  81. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:36

Haha, same!! I was watching it with some friends a few weeks ago and said word for word exactly what they both did!

Yeah, I got some weird looks :P

    ReplyDelete
  82. You're not alone, believe me!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Any discussions between Anne and Aramis may not be quite how those who care about the relationship think it should turn out.

The more i think about it, Aramis may move into the church next series in order to show penanceand repent for the sins so to speak, he commited in this series. Whatever he feels for the Queen, his treatment of Marg. does not sit well on his character and i think by the end he will realise that and possbily withdraw showing parallels with the book.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I think the quote Sandi posted..."the kings been bouncing someone else's child on his knee....." Is Rochefort to Aramis and they have some kind of confrontation. Of course I could be wrong and Sandi could be laughing at me right now. I love the guessing and speculation!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Im hoping as well. We need the encouragement in order to survive this short but long wait till Saturday :) 4 more days guys...4 more days!

    ReplyDelete
  86. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:39

Yeah, the kiss was a massive but pleasant surprise for me! Same with when she confessed to Constance about her love for Aramis.

Surely the BBC HAS to follow all that up with a nice wee love scene ;)

    ReplyDelete
  87. This has been my fear as well Ares.

    ReplyDelete
  88. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:42

    I need to wait 5 days :(
I've decided I'm going to watch it on Sunday( on couchtuner) and then rewatch it a week on friday on the BBC as I can't resist the temptation!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Crossing both my fingers and toes for that love scene! Lol clearly their lives are more important to us right now than our own and their fictional characters. I can't help it tho...once I get attached I never stop!

    ReplyDelete
  90. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:44

I laughed out loud when that happened haha!! XD

    ReplyDelete
  91. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 16:47

I'd rather know, for definite, that Annamis is going to survive into S3 and get a scene then instead of getting one now and them 'breaking up'.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Basically tonight we will find out if they will have some sort of confrontation... it all depends on the quote. OMG, i didn't thought of that before!!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. LOL...me too. I will re-watch and re-watch and re-watch. I can go on and on here!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Sandi already told us that there's stuff for ships in S3. So... let's not think the worst, but neither the best! We are in a grey zone.

    ReplyDelete
  95. When are gonna have sneak peek for episode 9 excited for that

    ReplyDelete
  96. because anne and aramis gonna be over. No point them talk, we get just anne talking about aramis with some else, aramis talking about anne to with some else I bet it be same and in the series 3.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Or maybe we are just overthinking things and we aren't really in a grey zone and maybe, just maybe, the writers will give us what we want by the time this season ends.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The only thing we know for sure is Rochefort wants her out of the way. She has stood up to him and disagreed with, refused to spy in the Queen and report back to him, witnessed his attack on the Queen and was there when Anne signed the letters. I'm having a hard time narrowing it down to one thing he could use to imprison her!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Add me to the list. I have watched too may times to count. It took me a few times to catch the part where Anne pulls Aramis' hair. So it was purely for scientific reasons. To check and see if Santi still had all his hair left LOL

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hahahahaaaaaa. I wish I had your optimism. I really, really do. I envy you for it. I'm just waiting for the worst case scenario to happen. I don't even know why.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I don't think so. xD
I would be worried of getting an happy ending now. (Not gonna happen, we have to say it.) I would feel more safe if that happen in S3.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Im assuming ur going to watch it on a sunday morning ? Technically thats 4 days hehe.

    ReplyDelete
  103. The problem is that BBCA usually doesn't post any, and BBC might only post one next Monday as the episode isn't until next week, so we might not get one at all before Saturday.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm wondering the same thing. Bbc one will not release anything, sure, it all depends on BBC America. I think they already released their promo for the episode, but since i live in Narnia i'm not allowed to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Trust me I'm like that too, but I'm a psychology student and at this point I really do think we are overthinking it a little bit. At the same time, you also have to go with what ur gut is saying. I could be wrong but I'm going to hope it all ends well for these two. At the end of the day this is a show, its not reality anything can be made up but with some reason behind it. Even in reality Queens have had affairs even Queen Anne and was she was never accused of treason. Expecting the worse is not bad but you also have to be reasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  106. We can say to Jessica Pope that if Annamis is going to end, we won't watch the S3 :p

however, I think that Rochefort is going to bring the letter of 2x02 to the king to proove Queen's treason!
I really hope to see some Annamis moments, I'm waiting for a kiss or a "I love you" since 1x02!!!

    ReplyDelete
  107. I've had to repeat myself a few times to see those small details as well. If I were Queen Anne his hair would've been a much bigger mess lol. He is very beautiful and sexy, I have to admit.

    ReplyDelete
  108. his eyes though the way he gave Anne the stare in episode 2 I was like omg I want a man to look at me like that

    ReplyDelete
  109. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 17:14

Not the only one Federica, I think we all have been waiting :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. OverlyObssesedBadger10 March 2015 at 17:17

I usually have a positive outlook in everything but in this case, I have to expect the worst so I am really happy if what I really wanted happens and if it doesn't, I would have already expected it.

I think a bit too much into things, then again, in my line of work, we have to ;)

    ReplyDelete
  111. I feel like it's a little too early for him to take that path yet. And plus what kind of storyline will the writers create with him going into the church? He has a son that he sworn to protect even though he is not allowed to be a father to him. I'm sure he doesn't want to give that up yet. He also has Anne, and we know he really does care about her a lot and so does she. Maybe him going into church isn't a bad a idea but he is going to sacrifice a lot in order to do that. His other two loves had died and all that he has left is Anne. He lost a lot and like I said he probably wouldn't want to sacrifice this just yet especially since he knows he might have a chance with Anne. The kiss and the stares prove that. He will probably hate Marguerite at the end of the season for what she will do with Rochefort and so her dying shouldn't impact him a lot. He might feel guilty and regret using her but thats about it.

    ReplyDelete
  112. This then relies upon the next series continuing with all this story and although some people may be absorbed by it there needs to be a new direction.

I also didn't mean that he would spend the entire series in the church but that it would be a good place for him to start before he returns to what he was doing before.

    ReplyDelete
  113. You have three correct. Just starting to read through to do the first update :)

    ReplyDelete
  114. You're welcome annamisxx :) You have three completely correct and one other speaker correct.

    ReplyDelete
  115. You can’t let her go, it’s written all over your face” - Catherine to Athos

“I’m not afraid, I love you” - Constance to D'artagnan

“I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” - Anne to Constance

“If you really love her there’s one thing you can do to really prove it” - Athos to Aramis

“At least she had the guts to stay when none of us would” - D'artagnan about Constanse to the other Musketeers

“Let her think I am still angry for now, and later I will forgive her bad judgement” - Louis to Rochefort

    ReplyDelete
  116. You have four correct and one other speaker right :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. If they continue something in season3, wouldn't something happen at the end of season 2 between them ? I wouldn't want a happy ending, I just want it to end on a good note.

    ReplyDelete
  118. You're welcome Anon :) You have one correct and one half right :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. One of those is correct, and the other is half right :)

    ReplyDelete
  120. I'm really not sure how I'm going to manage to stay away - so going to miss looking at the preview/hangman with you guys for episode 10! :(

    ReplyDelete
  121. But no matter what happens, can I just say I'm so happy there are finally some other Annamis shippers on here? Not that I don't love all the Constagnan-shippers, it's just....I really couldn't care less about Constagnan. Which made participating in discussions quite hard on occasion being pretty much the only one NOT caring...lol

    ReplyDelete
  122. You're welcome Jagoda. To be honest they aren't at the convent very long at all, it's only a very small part of the episode. Aramis is there the whole time, but one other Musketeer isn't, he turns up a few of hours later and then they all leave shortly after that. We do see Aramis & Anne talk there though.

You have four correct & another speaker right :)

    ReplyDelete
  123. I don't think there will be too much squeezed in, as we won't have the story of the week in either episodes 9 or 10 for these to compete with. There was tons crammed into the season 1 finale and yet that worked incredibly well.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Spare a thought for me - i must now be alone because i couldn't care less (as you put it) about either Anne/Aramis or Constance/D'art - i cant even bring myself to type the twee names you have for them,,,,,,,yuck!!

    ReplyDelete
  125. You have four correct and four half right :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. Ah kynikey... poor you! As you know I'm a huge Constagnan fan but I also absolutely love the other couples too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. Unfortunately, the way this series has been written - in mini soundbites - you are more optimistic than i am, which is positive.

    ReplyDelete
  128. That's a dash, rather than a hyphen. I put spaces in, but it is a bit small to see them properly, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I agree. I don't think there's going to be many interactions between them. They can't move forward, despite caring a lot about each other. They can't put their son in danger. They can't throw their duties out of the window. They can't let France be ruled by Rochefort. There is just no way they can be together.

And Aramis' arc was set up in the premiere. I do believe he will become an abbé, like he was in the books. maybe the church will provide the protection he needs when all his affairs come out. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  130. Yeah, woe is me...lol ;) I still love you all! :)

    ReplyDelete
  131. Lol - Ah that's good! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  132. One of those is correct.

There's some lovely character stuff in this episode. Simon J Ashford also wrote The Return, and he gets the characters so right yet again imo :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. You and me both. I liked costagnan more last season but this season I grew tired of them. Don't get me wrong I love the characters just not together. They come out too cheesy for me this season. I'm starting to really like Milathos this season a lot more than last season! They have a complicated story just like Anne and Aramis but Annamis is even more.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I like higher paced episodes more tbh. They have over 50 minutes of airtime. I believe that's enough for the storylines they set up. It's not like they will introduce new stuff. :)

    ReplyDelete
  135. * Not that I don't love all the Constagnan-shippers, it's just....I really couldn't care less about Constagnan.*

LAMO! Sorry, that just made me chuckle. :)

    ReplyDelete
  136. I don't mind them, I'm just not invested in them AT ALL. And yeah, I found them more interesting last season as well, but that could be because they made Constance so OOC this season (and d'Art also acted like kind of an ape around her most of the time). ANYWAY. Annamis. WAY more interesting. ;) (to me, at least)

    ReplyDelete
  137. Oh really ? That's interesting cuz in the promo pics he wasn't there except in the one picture at the table. Im shocked that they aren't at the convent for too long. I thought they were supposed to keep the Queen safe? Will they take her back to the palace ?

    ReplyDelete
  138. An ape?! Have you ever seen a prettier ape though? :P

    ReplyDelete
  139. So basically what I'm saying is: it's not you, it's just my complete indifference towards your ship. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  140. I love them all each ship have a different journey but I prefer season 1 constagnan

    ReplyDelete
  141. I doubt he'll need a big excuse. As we've noted, he's got plenty of reasons to want her out of the way, and more than a few accusations he can use to make any arrest stick. And even if the arrest IS on flimsy ground, who's going to oppose him? Right now he's running the Palace, the Red Guards and pretty much the whole country. He could chuck her in the clink for wearing wrong coloured shoes, and nobody would dare oppose him.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Methinks you protest too much. ;) I reckon deep down you're a die-hard Conshagnan lover and one day we'll make you admit it. We have another year to work on it...mwahahahahah....)

    ReplyDelete
  143. You're welcome Helen :) There's a lot of stuff happening over the two episodes, though there is a start/middle/end to each still I'd say.

One thing I do note is that both of the finale episode come in a little shorter than I was expecting, the run time is a minute or two shorter than the previous episodes. So I don't know if there are any cut scenes from the preview copies, or if they just run short...

    ReplyDelete
  144. Omg, Im getting very excited ! My annimas shipper heart is complete... He swears he won't let anything happen to her. Is it Saturday yet ?

    ReplyDelete
  145. "But no matter what happens, can I just say I'm so happy there are finally some other Annamis shippers on here?"

    Let's party!!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Well, I'm still saying I'd prefer other people to shag on that show, but give it your best try! Maybe the S.S. Annamis is gonna crash and burn in the finale anyway and I'll need a new ship to keep me afloat. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  147. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)

    ReplyDelete
  148. LOL So Constagnan would be your rebound ship? We can live with that. :P

    ReplyDelete
  149. Finally some serious conversation!
And am i the only one who wants to see Aramis and Anne on the horse? I keep pausing the promo but i can't see clearly.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I thought this was supposed to be a bit of fun! I don;t see how anybody could think any harm was meant by any comments - after all, none of this is acutally real.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Ah, that's interesting. I hope they haven't cut any scenes, as I think they'll need all the time available to satisfactorily conclude all the plots/subplots they need to before series 3.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Don't get me wrong, I didn't say ur wrong, hehe.

    ReplyDelete
  153. What do you mean IT'S NOT REAL?!? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  154. That didnt take long.......Hooray!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Waa, great! I'm so looking for that! There's a lot of interesting stuff to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I can't even bring myself to type....... Milathos.......! Oh gosh looked what i;ve just done.........

    ReplyDelete
  157. Don't overdo it. We don't want you to need therapy in the end. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  158. We're not going to turn into a fandom like the cw shows have, right? I noticed a bit of a tension between Aramis/D'Artagnan fans. I was a bit worried there. :)

    ReplyDelete
  159. All I see is her in the middle riding the horse, I do not see Aramis with her. But it most likely is him. Sandi even said he's with them the whole time.

    ReplyDelete
  160. What do we do with ourselves when the series is over?? How do we pass long months? Speculate?

    ReplyDelete
  161. I don't think 'yuk' is necessary. Lots of us aren't particularly into other ships either but it's just a bit of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  162. If you're refering to our discussion a little further down: it's all in good fun, don't worry. There's no actual tension, is there? Guys?! Nobody's taking this seriously, are you?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Ship, shag...I'll probably take whatever I can get come season 3 ;)

    ReplyDelete
  164. if there's a ship shag, season three can't come fast enough!

    ReplyDelete
  165. That is just what i said 7 minutes ago - that it was intended as a bit of fun! Look, i hope everybody lives happily ever after, but some more than others!!!

    ReplyDelete
  166. That's what we did last year ;)

    ReplyDelete
  167. No god I hate tension that why I hate ship wars

    ReplyDelete
  168. There are no love triangles on this show. I doubt there will be any tension. :) Everyone is happy with their ships, sadly some more than others.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Maybe in season 3 we will get u to type constagnan or annamis lok

    ReplyDelete
  170. Well, since Jessica is pretty good at posting stuff on a regular basis (even though she's the queen of posting non-spoilery stuff really), there's always something to see at least. Personally, I'll go for set visits again. Always a great way to pass the time. ;)

  171. Any small tension I've seen (and it is occasional) has been more to do with how something is said or mis/interpreted by the posters/readers, rather than which characters it's about. People's ships are very well respected here. We do sometimes have little fun disputes, like one a few weeks ago about whose kiss was better (Annamis in the tent or Constagnan in the field!!) but they're always just in fun. :)

  172. Someone's definitely going to die. I wonder if they'd be willing to go completely left field and kill off Athos.

  173. Naa, like Kynikey said, we're just having fun. I love all the Constagnan shipper here, we always talk about everything that happen on the show without drama! That's why i love this place! Everyone was so welcoming. :)

  174. Was there actually ? How did I miss that ! It would've been fun to read, lol.

  175. How did I miss that one??? Lol. Whoever devised that word 'shipper' should be locked up! ;)

  176. Helen, I'm going to go over to G+ later and try and get some convos started. At this rate it may be just the three of us and Sandi, if nobody else shows up, but at least it'll be spoiler free after Saturday! It'd be nice to see you there!

  177. Now that would be going too far...maybe none of the relationships (i also cant type that other word s..p) will exist by then!

  178. i picked up her posts but have always been a forum phobe up till now.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Me too, i think they used a stunt there, that's why we see only her. I doubt the Queen will manage to ride like a Musketeers, even if it would be wonderful to see!

    ReplyDelete
  180. I'm totally in - will be over there shortly! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  181. You weren't the only one! But I do have trouble keeping up with the amount of threads people post in at once, so I'm not surprised I completely missed that discussion...lol (and Knitty: I'm quite sure I would have been on your side in that discussion...OMG! It's starting! ;) )

  182. Can i just say, while we are going on about the 3 relationships.

At least Aramis/Anne and D'Art and Constance have actually kissed this series.......I doubt Athos and Milady will even get that far, so for me absolutely nothing to rewind excessively on my skybox!

  183. Hi Shannen, welcome to the site! You have six correct :)

  184. Because you are typing onto a screen, your words are interpreted at face value - the humour is not always easy to pick up on.

  185. Don't forget, Rochefort is sitting on the letters Anne wrote to her brother, King Philip of Spain, in episode 2. Those letters were arguable treasonous, since Louis had forbidden her from seeking military support from Spain.

  186. You're welcome xxxx. The first one is correct :)

  187. You see - we can be very persuasive! ;)

  188. Well, better people have fallen succumbed to Stockholm Syndrome... ;)

  189. And yet technically, through flashbacks, they've had the most explicit on-screen action.

  190. OK, I managed to last all of 24 hours but I'm BORED! No one's over on the G+. It's like calling out "hello?" in the dark. :) I must check out that kiss debate. It'll be a distraction from any spoilers. You're right Knitty. Generally the ships are respected. It's entirely understandable that some people will have their own preferences and some none at all, so to argue over that seems daft! Most of the time we Constagnan fans (soon to become #Conshagnan, fingers crossed :)) just try to have a laugh and keep ourselves and hopefully a few others, amused with our desperate hope for nocturnal naughtiness and references to nosey goats.:) I'm actually loving that some of the other ships are coming through strong now and enjoy reading those posts. It'll make for a more lively hiatus with any luck. Hopefully it will never become a case of love one, hate the other. At that point we would have lost the spirit of this place which has always been such a great place to hang out and chat.

  191. HAHA!! you are SO going to be on our side of the marina next year!

  194. An ape!! How very dare you!! :) Well, what can I say except "Him Tarzan, me Jane" :)
