Wasn't sure if it was 22 or 23 episodes for sure this season so I'm glad it's 23. Seems to be the CW's new standard now (at least with this and Arrow). Good finale name too, looking forward to it :)
He's definitely going back but will he go through with it? Will he choose his mother's life over all the people he could save by being the Flash? Is wells going to be fast enough to defeat Barry and kill his younger self?
If he does, fun stuff will happen. Eobard can't really kill Barry due to paradox issues that would arise, and I don't know if Eobard is immune to those right now. But I could see him making Barry a paradox so he could kill him, or using the Negative Speed Force to consume Barry and trap him in the Speed Force.
Me! JK! I would most certainly enjoy it if there was no Arrow and possible messing up its timeline. If there wasn't Arrow I would ride that story till the end of time.
They still can. That's actually what I'm looking forward to since the repercussions will be beautiful and it'd be a great device to do a crossover and introduce the spin-off, maybe Wally West, and so many things. That and if the theory of that bts pic with Firestorm, league Oliver and Barry and Eobard being set in Flashpoint is true, then that's just cool.
I was hoping for "Zoom" or something :D I want a "Flash vs Zoom" episode next season... Eobard isn't Professor Zoom but Reverse-Flash apparently... so next season Zolomom for Zoom?!
Really don't know. Not a fan at this moment. Just to messy. It just seems to messy. they can't properly handle their schedule and not sooo big stuff like Flashpoint. The possibility are enormous but I really have no idea if they will use it properly and cherish what both was important to both shows. The spinoff will most certainly be introduced in the finales with the characters being cast so early. I see them all appearing in the Flash or Arrow finale or in both and the 3rd character being announced today or tomorrow, latest till the end of the week.
I only understood about 40% of that comment hahahaha What paradox issues? Because if he does then Barry won't be alive in the future to take him to the past so he could kill him? And about Eobard's immunity I actually wanted to ask you something. If a speedster changed time, do other speedster become aware of that time change or only the one who caused it? How can he make Barry a paradox? How can someone be trapped in the Speed Force?
Koky I have a freaky idea for U. When I was reading the news about that Rip Hunter character, the moment I saw his picture I thought could he be an Olicity child?? Just there a random idea for U to freak about. ^_^
This makes very happy & sad all at the same time.Happy it's the grand finale which would be epic but also sad coz there will a big hiatus waiting for us right after this one!
Lol fair. If Eobard killed Barry, he'd never become Professor Zoom or gain the Negative Speed Force, it would basically alter his entire life. No speedsters aren't inherently aware of timeline changes, (Eobard for example had no idea that Barry altered the past or of the original timeline until Barry told him), only the one who caused it is aware. He could make Barry a paradox by say making his own grandfather allowing Eobard to kill him since he'd be born as a kid later on ensuring that Eobard's life would remain the same. That's all I've got since I can't see a way to make Barry a paradox in hindsight without altering Eobard's future. It could only work if Eobard could do flashpoint- which technically would make Eobard and Barry a paradox and would let him kill Barry. It's actually not that hard, if Speedsters go to fast or aren't experienced with very high speeds (say like the speed of light) they can merge with it (you can get out, but because of the mental effect of clouding your mind, it's difficult to escape without extreme motivation- the comics for example uses the notion of a lightning rod- who is a person characters like Barry or Wally care most about and have deep connections to (for Barry it's Iris). And it's also their afterlife.
"He could make Barry a paradox by say making his own grandfather allowing Eobard to kill him since he'd be born as a kid later on ensuring that Eobard's life would remain the same. " you mean making Eddie a speedster? Seriously you have to tell me how do you keep track of these things?
Then shit stays as it does. But the weird thing is, in the current timeline Barry either failed to save his mom, (another albeit less likely scenario is his alternate future self already experienced flashpoint and stopped himself that night). It's possible he could have even died that night ( again not likely, which could explain Eobard's fluctuating power)- it wouldn't alter the future most likely as Barry's exploits as the Flash would still have happened meaning Eobard would still stay as Zoom. Knowing Barry (and the writers) he'll try (and possibly succeed) at saving her.
Oh sorry I meant make Barry his own grandfather- like you know making Barry do (insert sexual reference) with his grandma. My mind is disturbing well-suited at learning anything to do with pop culture- it's almost like a vault- wish it worked with other stuff like that. But in regards to time travel paradoxes those are annoying complex in sine cases.
I am not ready to say good bye to both Flash and Arrow. So I am sad seeing this.
Comic Book fans I have a question for you. @Graydon, @Shannon, @ivan anyone please help me. So just saw Flashpoint Paradox the animation movie. I understood everything except for one thing. So Barry moves back in time saves his mom. Then he gets up in current time in this new timeline and can't remember anything. Everyone else except Barry is from the new time line and Barry is not the Flash here. So how does Reverse Flash exist? And how does he know about the original time line Barry? Doesn't this new timeline RF be ignorant of Barry's existence as he is not The Flash here.
He's a paradox. Best way I could explain it (it's timey wimey) is that when Barry shattered the timeline by absorbing the entire Speed Force and creating a timeline where everyone on Earth dies, he made Thawne and his Negative Speed Force a paradox which allowed him to be outside of time more or less. Like an Observer.
Well he was, but only in that he didn't remember saving his mom just everything else and then loses that because of the timeline. Which sort of makes sense, since Barry went back in time and altered his entire destiny so he shouldn't remember being The Flash, but I guess either for plot reasons, or whatever still temporarily remembered being Flash. The best excuse I could give is his brain wave vibrations because of Barry pulling in the entire Speed Force (which exists across the multiverse), temporarily remained as they were before he altered the timeline slowly shifting the longer he stayed, etc.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDelete"Fast Enough"
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Barry is going to save his mother. Get ready for Flashpoint, folks!
And Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteFast enough!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really hope he isn't! No Flashpoint, no parallel universe. Please no!
To far away from this episode to to far away.
He's definitely going back but will he go through with it? Will he choose his mother's life over all the people he could save by being the Flash? Is wells going to be fast enough to defeat Barry and kill his younger self?
ReplyDeleteoh no Barry what are you going to do?
ReplyDeletei am HORRIFIED to see it in live-action, it's one thing to know about it, it's a WHOLE different thing to actually see it
ReplyDelete¨Hm, expected Flashpoint
ReplyDeleteIf he does, fun stuff will happen. Eobard can't really kill Barry due to paradox issues that would arise, and I don't know if Eobard is immune to those right now. ReplyDeleteAh but who doesn't love a good apocalypse?
ReplyDeleteI'm so so so so so so so pumped! It's gonna be sick. Barry's going to shatter the universe and then save it.
ReplyDeleteMe! JK! I would most certainly enjoy it if there was no Arrow and possible messing up its timeline. If there wasn't Arrow I would ride that story till the end of time.

ReplyDeleteBe a hero. Just like Eobard wants and expects him to.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for "Zoom" or something :D I want a "Flash vs Zoom" episode next season... Eobard isn't Professor Zoom but Reverse-Flash apparently... so next season Zolomom for Zoom?!
ReplyDeleteThey're one and the same. He just hasn't been called it yet. But you couldn't call Zoom Zoom without Eobard being Professor Zoom.
ReplyDeleteReally don't know. Not a fan at this moment. Just to messy. It just seems to messy. they can't properly handle their schedule and not sooo big stuff like Flashpoint. Holly molly they are really trying to kill me. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteSo we see mostly scenes from all the eps besides the finale. O.O
Looks like it, since they are shooting the finale right now.
ReplyDeleteSometimes have to Google that word before writing it because it could be confusing, just like reindeer hahaha
ReplyDeleteTime to freak out, guys :D
ReplyDeleteKoky I have a freaky idea for U. When I was reading the news about that Rip Hunter character, the moment I saw his picture I thought could he be an Olicity child?? Just there a random idea for U to freak about. ^_^
ReplyDelete:| :| :| :|
ReplyDeleteWait I have to see his picture.
ReplyDeleteLook at the one on TVline. With a bit of beard and natural blondish.
ReplyDeleteYou're mean! Why did you did this to me? :\ :\
ReplyDeleteI just wanted you to be the first one to know! ;-)
ReplyDeleteEspecially with that Rip Hunter story following. No one knows who he is to protect his family. ^_^
STOOOOP YOU'RE KILLING ME! I want this so much (still not going to watch the show though lol)
ReplyDelete;) He's Booster Gold's son.
ReplyDeleteThea Queen isn't Malcolm's daughter în the comics so he doesn't have to be. And he doesn't have to be their son, grand son works as well.
ReplyDeleteI'll stop! ;-) Sorry if I positively upset U.
ReplyDelete"positively upset U" hahahahahahahaha great expression. Can I use it? lol
ReplyDeleteOf course U can. We're fellow addicts, we share everything !
ReplyDeleteTrue lol
ReplyDeleteOmg! I just got Sooo happy from reading that title. Like instantaneously!
ReplyDeleteOhhh fun!
ReplyDeleteyeah it's INSANITY! but he's going to get his butt kicked
ReplyDeletewell what would happen if Barry does what Zoom DOESN'T expect and lets his mom die?
ReplyDeleteyeah i'm really hoping to hear the name "Professor Zoom" in the show!!!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis makes very happy & sad all at the same time.Happy it's the grand finale which would be epic but also sad coz there will a big hiatus waiting for us right after this one!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why you'd be horrified to see it. It's ambitious and these guys behind Arrow and Flash have always been ambitious.
ReplyDelete"horrified" in the good sense LOL, the Flashpoint Paradox is hell on Earth
ReplyDeleteLol fair. If Eobard killed Barry, he'd never become Professor Zoom or gain the Negative Speed Force, it would basically alter his entire life. ReplyDeleteTrue it would require meticulous planning.
ReplyDelete"He could make Barry a paradox by say making his own grandfather allowing Eobard to kill him since he'd be born as a kid later on ensuring that Eobard's life would remain the same. " you mean making Eddie a speedster?

ReplyDeleteThank you Danielle Panabaker.
ReplyDeleteOK first: EWWW. It takes a very disturbed man to do that.
ReplyDeleteSecond: Good for you. Keeping up with time travel and paradoxes is a real headache.
remember Zoom's insane
ReplyDeleteIs Tom going to be in season to if he is not I'm not watching
ReplyDeleteAgreed. That's why the grandfather paradox is gross. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteNah he's Booster's kid. He couldn't be an Olicity kid as he wouldn't have the tech to time travel (or knowledge most likely).

ReplyDeleteLoves the animosity between Iris West and Linda Park

ReplyDeleteWho said he won't have it in 25-30 years?
ReplyDeleteCan't be their kid then. Felicity would be infertile. I'm sorry but it just seems baseless.
ReplyDeleteI know it's baseless! But not impossible.
ReplyDeleteWas just a silly observation and I wanted to have a laugh about it with Koky.
And why is Felicity infertile?
Oh you mean the tech, thought you meant the kid. Still his backstory is all we must preserve the future at all costs! Hmm, well I misread this.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about now? Don't get it.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said 20-25 years I thought you meant they'd have the kid then.
ReplyDeleteWell he was, but only in that he didn't remember saving his mom just everything else and then loses that because of the timeline. ReplyDeleteCool. I really enjoyed the Flashpoint Paradox movie. Now I have to read the comics. Already have them.
ReplyDeleteAlso if you get a chance read Flash: Rebirth. It's Barry's resurrection story after being dead for two decades. It's pretty great.
ReplyDeleteI will try. I am not much of a comic book fan. But Flash makes me want to read comics. :)
