    It's just a weird effect they do for some reason. I think they want to seem 'hip' and 'cool'.
    Some channels use a guys voice and they also do it.

    The only channels that don't are the ones Foxtel doesn't own (like the Disney Channel)

    I started noticing this when I first caught an Aussie promo for 90210 which was airing at the time on Network Ten. At first I thought i was cool they're doing that since it sounds very sexy and provocative with the way their voices are being altered.

    But when I started watching a couple of AU shows and watched promos of them, that's when I noticed the pattern which kinda annoyed me a bit because it doesn't seem like competing networks don't want to differentiate themselves with each other. They're essentially using the same effect for voicing their own commercials that make them all sound generic as time goes on.

    April:
    The Carbonaro Effect Season 2 begins April 3
    Reign Season 2 begins April 14
    Beauty And The Beast Season 2 begins April 21
    Atlantis Season 2 begins April 26
    Hart of Dixie season 4 begins April 30
    Australia's Next Top Model Cycle 9 begins April 30

    May:
    Fresh Off The Boat Season 1 begins May 10.
    The Messengers Season 1
    Arrow Season 2

    FOX8 airs a rerun. Due to contracts Channel Nine airs it first and FOX8 repeats the season about 6 months after Channel Nine finishes.

    Unfortunately while FOX8 has expressed an interest in buying the rights from Channel Nine, they just wont budge. The same issue is holding up The Originals, Go! has the first air rights. FOX8 has the repeat rights but can't begin to air it until Go! does.

    I suspect the same issue is going to hold up iZombie as Go! has the rights for it and hasn't announced a premiere date.
