I don't think so. The wtiters didn't plan this, the network just messed with the airing dates for some reason, which will affect the upcoming crossovers.
Well they better end Arrow and TVD on a very good note as those are the dates leading to my bday, Sooo those are the ones I'm more curious about. Last year I was NOT happy with the finale, so they need to make it up to me.
The Flash ending after the Flash further supports my theory that they will go with a double cliffhanger for both shows that is Barry altering the timeline thus creating an alternate reality where the spin off occurs.
I agree that it's a little weird, but as people have said it makes sense with the Flash being one behind.
But it also allows whatever insane time travel related thing they're pulling on the Flash to affect Arrow's part of the universe. (The changed timeline will be the plot for the Arrow 3.5/Flash 1.5 tie in comics perhaps?)
Should have read further, having just said the exact same thing above. I fully agree, they can then explore the alternate universe for the Arrow 3.5/Flash 1.5 tie in comics next year.
not sure if I want that, at this point Arrow/Flash are two different shows to me. The one being completely dependant on the other is something I really don't want to see. Especially if season 4 of Arrow would then take place in an alternate universe...
It would be creative but would totally throw of viewers that don't watch the Flash. One way of alienating fans.
But since I see Arrow ending before the Flash they could send Barry into an alternate future and meet an alternate version of Ollie (a more lighthearted one, the one they'll use once Arrow ends)
Not entirely fitting the topic here but I actually found myself rewatching all 6 Superman flicks in a row last week and guess what: Superman 1 still stands out as the best. Might be the oldest but held up the best
You people killed my mood with this time travel non sense. I get it should happen on the Flash, but stay the F away from Arrow. We don't need it there. Peace!
Agreed, I would however totally vote for The Flash to create its own alternative timeline it can use Arrow whenever it wants without affecting the other show
Hmmm not even sure about that. It would be sort of a drag and confusing at moments. And that would prevent crossover events from happening. So not sure. But first they should stay away from the Arrow time line, but Flash can do whatever they like.
I'll NiS Jane,Reign and VD has been good so fr this season.TO hasn't been that good.Cantbelive we're only two months away from seasons ending,Upfronts and the last renewals/cancellations,
Hahahahahaaha!! That used to be my favorite scene in George of the Jungle. And hell yeah I agree with your post. I wouldn't watch that show if you paid me.
the alternative timeline would suck for Arrow especially since everything in season 3 may not exist......and since Barry is only going back to save his mom he should consider all the other people that could be save as well so there has to be a price for going back like his dad is murdered in prison or something that prevents past event from changing
Wow I had no idea they were bringing time travel to Arrow/Flash, that's just...terrible. Kind of makes sense in The Flash but not Arrow.
The 100 is the only finale I'm interested in, so excited for that tonight :)
Then my Summer shows finally return! Penny Dreadful is back early which is the one I'm looking forward to most and then there's The Strain and The Last Ship. There are others too, mainly on SyFy but those 3 are the ones I'm looking forward to most. Final season of Continuum starts as well! Summer is actually a much busier TV time for me.
Cant believe the finals are already coming up it seems just started. I will miss the Originals but it seems this season has been crazy with emotioness and I dont know what the writers are doing. Then I read that a character will die this season
Before the last hiatus, The Flash only aired the 14th episode while Arrow aired its 15th episode. Not weird at all; what is weird is how both shows didn't end at their 14th episodes before the small beak. Imo, "The Return" would've been a fine mid mid-season finale for Arrow anyways.
He´s my favourite character too, on the show and of all time :P I cried a lot, his scenes were very emotional, but we all knew he was coming back, but it´d be worth it because of his reunion with Elena when he came back, which I´m stil waiting for!, and how Elena reacted bc of how much she really loved him, more than anyone, was worth it.
Same! But him coming back wasn't the point. They literally killed him. His death killed me. Let me tell you, i did not enjoy my bday for a couple hrs after that episode. My friends had to work to cheer me up. And ughhh. It wasn't worth it. She took away her memories, i'm still pissed about that. That will always hurt for me. I'm trying to hang onto hope that she'll get them back before this season is over, but honestly it's becoming harder and harder. = (
I don't know much of that episode. Just the title. (and no i'm not asking so shhhh) but fans are hoping for that. Why for that episode, idk. But i'll wait til it airs to find out.
But it's easier to change everything up in the comics. I think it would call for some confusing stuff to alter Arrow because of The Flash's own events.
I think the same people who watch Arrow also watch the Flash though so I doubt it will throw too many people off if they decided to go that way. If anything I am hoping if it's just in The Flash alone we get to see an Arrow akin to the Thomas Wayne Batman if Barry changes the future.
I'm not talking about the viewers' confusion, but the writers. They've obviously set up at least a rough five-year plan for Arrow and to change any events past or present because of Barry going back to 2000 will cause for obvious confusion on how to handle Arrow going forward because their plans for the present day storylines as well as the past flashbacks will call for change. That's why I only see only minor changes happening to Arrow if anything.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Oh, joy, it's time for some emotional trauma again! I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteJune is going to be quite a boring and meaningless month...and tonight a piece of my heart will die too with the 100 finale.

ReplyDeleteSo the Arrow and Flash finals aren't the same week? Weird.
ReplyDeleteWeird indeed considering they both have 23 episodes.Season finale after the upfronts doesn't make sense.
ReplyDeleteSeems like the season premiere was only a few weeks ago and now this...Sigh!
ReplyDeleteI am already dreading the summer hiatus.
ReplyDeleteoh god they are coming! . This year is going fast!
ReplyDeleteBut Arrow aired one more episode after febuary sweeps. And this way Flash follows iZombie one more week.
ReplyDeleteCalling it now: Arrow ends first so Flash can change the timeline in a Flashpoint cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready for this :(
ReplyDeleteSo I guess the Flash will end a week after Arrow, no double episode finale :(
I don't think so. The wtiters didn't plan this, the network just messed with the airing dates for some reason, which will affect the upcoming crossovers.
ReplyDeleteWell they better end Arrow and TVD on a very good note as those are the dates leading to my bday, Sooo those are the ones I'm more curious about. Last year I was NOT happy with the finale, so they need to make it up to me.

ReplyDeleteI said the same in my comment.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry guys. You can always watch Beauty and the Beast in June.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.reactiongifs.com/r/2013/07/laughter.gif
Eww!No!
ReplyDeleteWe have Hannibal and OITNB in June to cope!
If that happens then the writers are basically saying "GOTCHA! We tortured you for an entire season for nothing!"
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones and Salem start up in April.
ReplyDeletemaybe they are doing this because there will be time travel on
ReplyDeleteThe Flash and they and the aftermath for the universe does not fit on Arrow finale.
Yes the writers ( it's their jobs ) did plan this 100 % ... as did the CW.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it's a little weird, but as people have said it makes sense with the Flash being one behind.
ReplyDeleteBut it also allows whatever insane time travel related thing they're pulling on the Flash to affect Arrow's part of the universe. (The changed timeline will be the plot for the Arrow 3.5/Flash 1.5 tie in comics perhaps?)
At least 4 months without a new TVD episode looms. Didn't Season 6 just start?
ReplyDeleteBruce, you know I love you. But just know that right now a little part of me is ready to go all Chucky on you :P
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCEjeTb1rrs\
ReplyDeleteAt least the entire season won't have been a dream.
Should have read further, having just said the exact same thing above. I fully agree, they can then explore the alternate universe for the Arrow 3.5/Flash 1.5 tie in comics next year.
ReplyDeleteTo good honestly. iZombie gets a too good treatment. I probably wouldn't bitch that much if TM didn't get such a bad treatment.
ReplyDeleteHrmmmm
ReplyDeletenot sure if I want that, at this point Arrow/Flash are two different shows to me. The one being completely dependant on the other is something I really don't want to see. Especially if season 4 of Arrow would then take place in an alternate universe...

TWIST: Oliver's been dead all this time
ReplyDeleteNo speaking ill of the Chris Reeves Superman movies (well, okay. Maybe 3 and 4). I used to wear out my VHS tape of Superman 2 as a kid.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget ( Wilson ) the volleyball.

Couldn't agree more.CW showered us with quite some gift this year!
ReplyDeleteNot entirely fitting the topic here but I actually found myself rewatching all 6 Superman flicks in a row last week and guess what: Superman 1 still stands out as the best. Might be the oldest but held up the best
ReplyDeleteall of them except HoD, izombie and The Messengers
ReplyDeleteNo speaking ill ... just a tribute to one of the all time greats.
ReplyDeleteYou people killed my mood with this time travel non sense. I get it should happen on the Flash, but stay the F away from Arrow. We don't need it there.
ReplyDeletePeace!
Very cool marathon. And I have no problem beliving that the orginal held up the best.
ReplyDeleteCan only recommend you to get yourself the Superman Collection on BluRay, pretty good value :)
ReplyDeleteMan of Steel is gorgeous but pretty disloyal to the original material while Supes 1 is just amazing
Agreed, I would however totally vote for The Flash to create its own alternative timeline it can use Arrow whenever it wants without affecting the other show
ReplyDeleteMan of Steel is the only one I haven't watched yet, I actually enjoyed Superman Returns despite it's flaws.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that I'm not the only one hating this alternate timeline idea.
ReplyDeleteI meant of the ones listed above.
ReplyDeleteHmmm not even sure about that. It would be sort of a drag and confusing at moments. And that would prevent crossover events from happening. So not sure.
ReplyDeleteBut first they should stay away from the Arrow time line, but Flash can do whatever they like.
Terrible idea overall. I really don't want them to mess with any timeline or characters or what so ever.
ReplyDeleteI'll NiS Jane,Reign and VD has been good so fr this season.TO hasn't been that good.Cantbelive we're only two months away from seasons ending,Upfronts and the last renewals/cancellations,

ReplyDeleteBy 2016 we'll have plenty of more summer options :)
ReplyDeleteWait, so does Flash ends after Flash or Flash after Flash?
ReplyDeleteugh I know right? This season is going away way too fast. And the hiatus takes like FOREVER.
ReplyDeleteU didn´t like TVD´s S5 finale??? It was awesome, better than S4´s IMO.
ReplyDeleteWow I had no idea they were bringing time travel to Arrow/Flash, that's just...terrible. Kind of makes sense in The Flash but not Arrow.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 is the only finale I'm interested in, so excited for that tonight :)

What's even happening...
ReplyDeleteI'm just joking about omabin putting that "The Flash" ends after "The Flash", an honest typo anyone could have made.
ReplyDeleteIt's not confirmed that time travel will occur on Arrow, just on The Flash.
ReplyDeleteLol I know I was just playing along
ReplyDeleteWell even though I don't watch either show anymore I'll be interested to see how that plays out!
ReplyDeleteAh, ok xD
ReplyDeleteUmmm they killed my favorite character, so no. And what did I do after that? I went out and drank bourbon in honor of him. ; )
ReplyDeleteThe Flash and Arrows are a week apart? Still gonna be awesome!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's confirmed... Right when Arrow's finale airs i will be on a plane, coming home from Europe. That's gonna be a long trip back home. Crap.
ReplyDeleteCant believe the finals are already coming up it seems just started. I will miss the Originals but it seems this season has been crazy with emotioness and I dont know what the writers are doing. Then I read that a character will die this season
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!

ReplyDeleteAh, that dreaded time of year. I shall miss you, Originals!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that there will only be minor changes to Arrow if Flash ever went back in time to change anything.
ReplyDeleteI have missed OITNB so much! It'll get me through the summer, so I'll try to space out the viewings... (but we all now that's just wishful thinking)
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteseason finale already?! WHY?!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm already scared .. TVD season finales never disappoint! They always leave my crying like a baby..
ReplyDeleteHe´s my favourite character too, on the show and of all time :P I cried a lot, his scenes were very emotional, but we all knew he was coming back, but

ReplyDeleteHere´s hoping she gets them back in 6x17
ReplyDeleteI don't know much of that episode. Just the title. (and no i'm not asking so shhhh) but fans are hoping for that. Why for that episode, idk. But i'll wait til it airs to find out.
ReplyDeleteSeason. Finale already can't believe it. So addicted to the originals even though I don't line what is going on with my couple still my addiction
ReplyDeleteIt depends how closely they want to follow Flashpoint. He really messed things up when he went back in that book. Like REALLY messed things up.
ReplyDeleteBut it's easier to change everything up in the comics. I think it would call for some confusing stuff to alter Arrow because of The Flash's own events.
