Hello everyone! Welcome to the Live Discussion of The Blacklist!
ReplyDeleteit's nice to see Tom back
ReplyDeleteand Madeline Pratt...well, she was mentioned at least...
ReplyDeleteWhat a jerk!
ReplyDeleteLol, you don't want to bruise the merchandise...
ReplyDeleteGEODUDE! y u keep unfrendin me on twitz?
ReplyDeleteno 1 here
this is bogus!!!! looser
This episode is already better than last. And it's obly 9 minutes in.
ReplyDeleteLol, what!?
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this episode too...Madeline Pratt is back...Tom is back...the whole gang is back together...
ReplyDeleteWhy is she answering his call and talking to him?
ReplyDeleteI dont think anything would work that fast...
ReplyDeleteThis song is called Major Tom...
ReplyDeletePerfect!!!
ReplyDeleteIn German I presume
ReplyDeleteIt is in german...by Peter Schilling...
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see how Red gets out of this...
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate the boys play Russian roulette and the last episode was called The Deer Hunter.
ReplyDeletegreat observation...I love that movie....
ReplyDeleteLol, Liz is funny
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate Liz is there to buy a Van Gogh and he has a bad ear...
ReplyDeleteAlright Agent Cooper!
ReplyDeleteI knew he had it in him
ReplyDeleteOh thats not good Coop
ReplyDeleteWho is the man from Joahannesburg?
ReplyDeleteGood question...
ReplyDeleteMaybe he will be the Season Two Big Bad?
ReplyDeleteThe man from Johannesburg could be this season's Berlin?...
ReplyDeleteHis final words were going to be Lizzie!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really good episode...
ReplyDeleteLol don't eat the Frank's and Beans...
ReplyDeleteThis song is called Spring by My Morning Jacket...
ReplyDeleteNice name for Tom... Christof..."Christ of"...
ReplyDeleteWell, this was fun as usual...have a goodnight. It was a great episode...
ReplyDeleteclear things up for me guys, didn't watch, is Tom rally...a nazi?!
ReplyDeleteYes I believe so.
ReplyDeleteHe has gone undercover as a Nazi.
ReplyDeleteoh thank god, I usually love villains on TV but I draw a clear line at villains that dwelve into such realistic material
ReplyDeleteWow, what he thought was his final word was Lizzie. Impressive episode. But a waste of having Jennifer Ehle back - for 3 hot seconds.
ReplyDeleteBtw the guy that gives Major Tom his missions...is the mystery guy Red called and failed to meet up with?
ReplyDeleteAnyway get Ultron vibes when Red was talking while in that box, it made him sound so robotic.
ReplyDeleteThat King brother btw doesnt know tennis - match point followed by three errors makes the score a deuce (40-40), so an ace after that gives him an advantage not the game.
Now that was an awesome episode!
ReplyDeleteNice to have a fun Blacklist-er once again even if he/they did not have a fun nickname ! XD
- I liked the callbacks in the episode!
Madeline Pratt, General Yaabari., Berlin... TOM!
- Tom got to go all Romper Stomper... or should I say Mannheim Steamroller on some supremacist!
Oi! Oi! Oi!
- I'm looking forward to this mysterious McCready character....
Lance Henriksen looked the same for 30 years I bet, but Father Time finally caught up to him didn't he? XD
- Even when Liz is in a "getting along with Red" or "admit to caring for him" phase they still cannot play nice dammit! I think she needs her chakras aligned or something! XD
- Cooper unchained is fairly bad ass isn't he? Sad about the inoperable tumor. Maybe the clinical trial will have some success.....
I'm gonna come back once the Harbormaster stuff is almost about to end.
ReplyDeleteLOVED THE EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liz looked completely beautiful!!! loved her saying she saved Red because she cares about him, that was amazing. I think he didn't want her saving him because she'd be in danger
ReplyDeleteCould be... or he may just be some ex-Mombasa Cartel or poacher king that wants Red dead for helping to put a halt to the trafficking back in 2x06.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, Major Tom in German, I just LOVE THIS SHOW!
ReplyDeleteThis put the final support to Red being her dad for me. The fact that his last words were going to be Lizzie answered the question for me. Since he has a supposed biological daughter "Jennifer," and that wasn't his final words... that says it all for me. Lizzie has to be the girl with the bubbles that he watched on the film reel. At this point, the writers would have to do a lot of fancy magic to get me to believe any other scenario.
ReplyDeleteMy only beef with Lizzie this week is her understanding of what he was saying seemed to be off. I think she was right in that he doesn't think he deserves kindness from people because of what he has done (he has made it clear he should be punished), but her rant seemed off base since he was clearly saying she shouldn't try to save him and risk herself. If she died trying to save him, it would kill him anyway.
ReplyDeleteAlso, while I loved that they are getting along again, I wish we would see more of Lizzie's shift. This seems slightly drastic to go from "we are never going to be more than business" to "I care about you" in a couple of episodes.
I get that the conversation last week, and Red's being abducted made her realize she really does care, but I wish we could have seen that revelation, you know what I mean? Show her reflecting on it somehow with a camera shot or a conversation with one of the team.
I also don't really agree with her that he has never been vulnerable. I think he has shown vulnerability quite a few times. (when he talked about killing Sam, when he refused to run when the FBI was coming in Berlin, when Dembe and her were threatened in Anslo Garrick, when he reproached him after her hypnosis, etc.). She is actually the one I feel like we don't get to see any real emotion and vulnerability from ironically. She sure does cry her one tear a lot, but I feel like she never really says completely what she means. That is more to the writing of her character though..
Absolutely same feeling with me - will skip next week's episode except for maybe the conclusion if it resolves the Harbormaster business, but do not want to watch the Harbormaster storyline anymore. Unless ,of course, my beloved Mr. Kaplan shows up.
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying that Ashley! I have been debating all morning with my friends what Red's last word was going to be, Lol. My friends say that he knew Liz was there and that's why he said Lizzie, but I tell them that he didn't know she was there and he was whispering her name as if he was thinking out loud - making Lizzie his final word had he been shot and killed and her the last thought on his mind.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the episode, loved that Tom is back and that he called her. Knew that she would take his advise, so obvious!! Red has got to be her father there is no other explanation!!
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't think he knew she was there because he turned around and repeated her name again when he saw her in a surprised manner. Plus, the way he closed his eyes it looked like he really thought that was it. Plus, it would be kind of dumb to say Lizzie's name if she was sneaking up on the guy. Lol
ReplyDeleteYES! So true!
ReplyDeleteI love, that the woman he loves was the last person on his mind. His last good deed :-D nope, still not her father - from an entertainment pov, what is the mystery and fun in that? too simple. It is a complicated show, there must be more to that. A DNA test would clarify it all. Why not just do one and be over with it? I loved this episode though and they clearly have deep feelings for each other.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite possible there is another reason Red's last words were "Lizzie". It is possible his daughter (or his "other" daughter) is dead and he knows it. And he's a pragmatic so there's no point in bringing back a dead person.
