BL Reviews The Big Bang TheoryReview:
Howard finds out that his electricity went out, which caused his freezer to defrost. In the freezer, he finds some of his mother's foods that she never got to cook. This causes him to even miss his mother even more. Because there is so much food (20 pounds) in the freezer, he makes the decision to invite all of his friends over for dinner. This is treated like as if his mother cooked their food one last time as he states.
Meanwhile, Leonard is really mad at Sheldon because his name is not included in the newspaper for a news article. You would think they would stop arguing at Howard's house? It gets worse.
Leonard gets mad at Sheldon for preferring execution over inspiration with their paper. Howard decides to take Sheldon's side because he is an engineer and execution brings concepts to reality. While Sheldon agrees, Leonard does not believe he cares about Howard's profession and always makes fun of him. Penny is tired of them fighting and if they wanted to continue this, she would rather go to her salon. If you thought that Sheldon was childish, Leonard just acts as bad for attempting to throw one of Howard's mother's foods at this face. Bernadette has had enough!!!!!!! She makes them go to the living room. Screaming, she confronts them for arguing during a difficult time for him. She gets very disgusted for throwing the last food that his mother ever made like their little children. I'm so proud of Bernadette for screaming on those boys and sounding like Howard's mother!!
My Thoughts:
The bickering between Leonard and Sheldon was annoying at times especially when their fight carried over to Howard's house. I thought the whole episode would be a huge tribute to Howard's mother. Instead, there was a subplot with Leonard and Sheldon that was not even appropriate for the episode considering what Howard's been through. The references with The View connected to Star Trek was that Whoopi Goldberg starring on Next Generation was spot-on by Sheldon. Female equality is a hot topic now of these days and Amy made some great points with it to relate to super heroes. Despite that Sheldon and Leonard had more screen time than they should have, this episode showed some improvement from the previous one and it was great to see that the gang celebrated her life one last time. It was about time that Bernadette screamed at their immaturity especially when Howard gone through a tough time after his mother's death.
