  3. It's crazy how in the beginning of the show I wanted Murphy dead but after that season 2 finale and seeing his character grow throughout the season, I'm so ecstatic about this news. Richard is awesome in this role I gotta admit.

  4. Yep. Time for Murphy to chill out and see how that man created A.L.I.E and then find a way to stop her.

  5. Nice. He has developed well. I don't mind him doing his thing in the Bonus Land!

  6. I've seen him in 10 or so projects the last decade and he always adds something to the show he's on... He may not have a lot of range as an actor (he's usually typecast), but he plays a malcontent so, so well!

  7. He was only in like 5 episodes in season 1.

  9. About time. Looks like he will have a big hand in stopping the deranged AI next season.

  10. Well Continuum has only 6 episodes left so i think he can handle it.

  11. I wasn't too fond of him on Continuum but I love him in this :)

  15. I kidna saw it coming knowing how the season finale basically teased Murphy's potential role in the upcoming season. Congrats!

  16. I hated him in S1, but he became more likeable in S2. I am still not very happy about this, but it felt like he was series regular in S2 already so i guess he will get pretty much equal screen time again

  17. Not a huge surprise,but I'm still happy.
Starting season 1 I never expected to become invested in his character but here we are.

First Murphy gets a cool looking pad and now gets to become series regular YES !!!

  19. That was expected but I wanted Adina Porter too. And no, I have NOT seen the finale yet so don't even think about spoiling me!

  20. EXCELLENT NEWS ! One favorite characters in season 2!

  21. I have loved Murphy since the beginning. He is a product of desperation and repeated betrayal, and watching him straddle the moral fence in the name of survival has been one of the most compelling arcs of the show thus far.

    I can't wait for more!!

  22. Murphy better outlive everyone on this show! He knows when's the time to back up and let someone else die. haha

  23. i had the same thought when i read the headline "it's about damn time!"

  24. Last time he said he was basically just John #2 in the pilot, like an extra. But they liked him and gave him more stories. He made it far and I'm happy for him. He's great.

  25. And the start, he was the most annoying character.
    Now? I love him!

  26. Yeess I love Murphy haha.. I hope they don't bump him to regular just to kill him midseason :\

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes!!! More Murphy in the future can only be a good think. I hope they won't make him all good next season.

The CW wasn't sure if they wanted to keep this show until now After 29 episode it's now official the CW is going to keep it going at least a little longer unless the actor guild or writers guild go on strike if that should happen it would most likely get the axe along with a bunch of other number 1 shows. Don't believe me? It happened in 2007 and guess what those contracts are up again and the networks and studio's are playing hardball and not giving in to any new demands.

  29. Great news! And well deserved! I love his character (and that's me who wished the cruelest of deaths for him in S1... LOL)
