I really want that someone kick the ass of Octavia! everyone can be an hero when you have no responsabilities, no pressure, no decision to make. sometimes you can chose just the less worst of two evil, and live with what come next. they were all dead if wasn't for Clarke. I feel so sorry for her, and also for Lexa.
I bet she is going to kill everyone in the mountain by opening the door she didn't open in the first episode of season 2. I am just so excited for the next episode and SEASON 3!!!!!
Octavia should get off her high horse and see that war is brutal. There are only bad decisions to make and worse!!! I don't see her giving any bright ideas on how to solve the problem.
If Clarke's "breaking point" moment is only whether or not to kill Dante (as she's threatening Cage) then that will be the lamest depiction of "how far will she go" to save her people moral dilemma ever. I really hope they give us something more substantial than that.
And I agree that Octavia needs to STHU unless she feels she can lead their people to freedom better without making any questionable, nay reprehensible, decisions in war. It's not as if she did any better putting her faith in Indra who abandoned her just like Lexa abandoned Clarke.
I agree 100% about Octavia! It is so easy to sit on a high horse, when others make the hard choices for you! Except for the last episode she didn't have one hard choice to make. Not one. I never saw her volunteer any bright ideas how to get THEIR friends out of Mt Weather...
Let´s see what Clarke had to deal with, while Octavia rescued Lincoln (again and again) and searched for her place in the world:
-Clarke did not drink the Mount Weather Kool-aid like everybody else.
-Clarke rescued Anya and broke out of Mt Weather.
-Clarke figured out how to safe Octavia´s boyfriend.
-Clarke single handed stopped a war.
-Clarke had to mery kill Finn!!!
-Clarke convinced Lexa to see the Sky People as allies and not as a threat that must be destroyed immediately = she stopped the Grounders attack (back in season 1, that was The 100s big goal)
-Clarke hat choices to make, that nobody wants to make, but somebody has to (sending Bellamy in, letting the missile hit TonDC...)
-Clarke orchestrated an entire war!!! The plan was pretty amazing and would have totally worked if Lexa had not betray her.
-Clarke just lost an ally, a friend and the women she kissed and cared for and maybe even had feelings for...
And BTW, SHE trusted the Grounders, too. Octavia should just step up, or shut up and give Clarke a goddamn break!
Oh Octavia you didn't have to take even half the hard decisions Clarke had to take. So step down a bit. It's your grounder family who betrayed all of you not Clarke. I can see Clarke sending batches of mount weather people out the door to die until Cage releases all the 44.
I'm hoping there's alot more to it than Clarke just threatening to kill the old man. That wouldn't even work anyway. If she just kills him, no one will care, they won't stop and give up.
I think she's mad at Clarke because Clarke almost got her killed at TonDC. I'd be mad, too. Clarke could have warned at least some people discreetly. Octavia feels Clarke left her to die.
This is the whole point though. No one's in the right or the wrong really. That's why its so interesting & these two characters too. Octavia doesn't really have a home I knew all along she wasn't going to go full grounder & when she couldn't follow Lexa's orders that wasn't a surprise to me. She doesn't really know who she is and thats okay.If Clarke didn't have her friends questioning her decisions (however right or wrong they might be) she could've ended up following Lexa all the way until she couldn't recognize who she was anymore. Clarke is awesome but how much more boring would this show be if everyone just followed her every move. She draws strength from her friends challenging her & I'd much rather watch that then everyone getting along all the time haha. Also another point that the show makes is that basically every character doesn't realize how much pressure they do put on Clarke & not purposefully it just happens which in away makes her feel isolated which kinda works for the lead character in an ensemble cast.
wouldn't that make her even more of a monster if she wasn't willing to sacrifice her own people along with the Others? She wasn't about to tell Lexa "let your people burn, I'll just get my friend out. It will only take a minute". And it's not like Octavia would have kept it secret anyway since It's clear she despises Clarke for letting those people die.
I agree with the "breaking point" thing you said. She already stabbed the man she loved and burned a village to the ground. Killing Dante, the leader of her enemies (aka the creepy bloodsuckers and organ harvesters who live in an underground bunker) doesn't seem like such a moral dilema to me
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
There's so much pressure on Clarke, sooner or later she just had to break.
ReplyDeleteGod, two more days, I can't handle it.
Go Octavia. This is going to be so good.

ReplyDeleteoctavia probably not the best time to be saying this to clarke when she is trying to figure out how to save everyone
ReplyDeleteYeah I had a problem with some of Clarke's actions but Octavia is being completely unfair.
ReplyDeleteand it is specially funny coming from the girl who considered herself a grounder and was second to Indra and now she's complaining...

That's what I've been thinking. Clarke is going to kill them all.

ReplyDeleteI agree about Octavia, she needs to chill.
Is that Indra we hear Clarke speaking to at the beggining?
ReplyDeleteexactly!
ReplyDeleteClarke exausted herself, fight with everyone about every single point and in the mean time Octavia was there to play carnival with a sword...
"Take me"
ReplyDeleteIm not ready for Raven and/or Wick to die
