Mac you might want to lay off the Dylan O'Brien bashing here. Teen Wolf fans like him a lot. Also dude have you even seen past season one? Acting wise such judgements are weak unless you have.
I'm afraid Dylan might decide to leave to focus on his movie career especially if he really is going to be Spiderman. That's why I got scared when I read his name.
Flame war? It's an opinion, too bad you disagree. I have no interest in seeing a fairly untalented actor portray a major character like that in the MCU. But ooooohhhh Graydon, the great, disagrees thus it's just there for flame wars...
Dickish = "ovarie broken fandom is drooling all over one handsome little pretty face?" Thanks for the nickname though. Graydon the Great. Nice to have a title.
Truth be told, i used to think like you... Then i saw him in Season 3B of Teen Wolf and i went from "meh" to "holy shit he's good". Teen Wolf isn't the best show to judge an actor for, imho.
Don't worry Graydon, this entire thing is purely coming from my heart. I've seen O'Brien in season 1 (you're right, I didn't watch beyond 1) and his bit part on The Internship and both (very different) characters were played in a meh style. I'll admit, he's not a shitty actor like his castmembers.
But I simply expect more than the likes of Logan Lerman, O'Brien or Andrew Garfield (although I would take Garfield over O'Brien).
I might be biased as I was the perfect age when the original Spidey movies hit theatres but let's be honest here: since Maguire there hasn't really been a decent castingdecision coming from Sony regarding the character.
Agreed. Maybe he is just awkward in person sometimes but the way he keeps addressing the spiderman rumours makes it seem like he really was one of the ones auditioned and considered at least. But he isn't allowed to say anything so he's just like, ahh...no I do not know what you are talking about I had nothing to do with Spiderman ummm.
On the other hand we could be completely wrong and maybe he didn't audition at all and he is telling the truth. Or he has prior commitments so he would never do the movie. But I agree with you suspicious.
What's the general consensus on that ? I'm new to this fandom. I really like Stalia personnaly. Maybe it's because I'm a dude. I don't know, this couple feels more real and interesting than any other on the show to me.
Some like them, I'm a Stiles/Lydia fan all the way. I also thought Malia's introduction was kinda forced and rushed, although she's growing on me now - she is interesting. Have you watched all the seasons? If you haven't, definitely go and do!!
Again dude just watch 3B then judge O'Brien (he's basically asked to carry the entire storyline emotionally and does so well) since a bit part, and a season one of Teen Wolf (which was like his first role) really isn't enough to judge him at all. Garfield is a capable actor when well directed (I don't like Toby never have he's okay at best) Eh Redmayne's too old. Solid actor though. He's not in the running, and you'd probably disagree but a lot of people want Grant Gustin.
Yeah I finished season 4 a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe I forgot about Stiles and Lydia. All I wanted in the first two seasons was for them to get together. But after that I don't know, I feel like the writers decided to go a different way by pushing Lydia in Aiden's arms, and then giving Stiles a relationship. Completely agree that Milia's introduction was rushed. In fact in that episode where she sleeps with Stiles for the first time it felt so unrealistic that I thought he was just having a good dream.
True, but I just wish they threw it a goddamn wish crack. It's Spider-Man. He's 33. So while he could do it. If they're going for highschool Spidey I don't think he'd be the best candidate. I've heard (no idea of it's true) that they considered Miles Morales instead of Peter for a bit. Apparently Lerman's quite good in Wallflower and he's been praised for Fury. So I believe he's talented.
I've actually heard there were ownership issues (again *eyeroll* )that prevented them from using Miles, but I've heard rumors they might try to include him... which would be awesome!
Wasn't there a tumor they are casting SUPER young for Peter. Not just teenage looking but actual 15 year old actors? (which I guess makes sense... as he would be around 18 when they finally do start filming)
Totally agree with you. 5 years we wait stiles and lydia Pfffff jeff do nothing, he makes them towards and away simultaneously, its not advance !!! I m so Upset and sad..
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Dylan's face when they mention Spider-Man though XD
ReplyDeleteDylan: "Ah..."
Interviewer: "Could it work?"
Dylan: "No...uh...funny enough, probably not."
He's totally trying to hide it and didn't know what to say.
"Fans love Stalia, obviously." Um, speak for yourself lady!
ReplyDeleteStay away from my Spider-Man you untalented piece of....person that only stands out because his co-actors suck even worse
ReplyDeleteOh thank God, I read Dylan's name and I started panicking!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMac you might want to lay off the Dylan O'Brien bashing here. Teen Wolf fans like him a lot. Also dude have you even seen past season one? Acting wise such judgements are weak unless you have.
ReplyDeleteJeff would soon chain him in an underground basement than lose Stiles.
ReplyDeleteso what if a ovarie broken fandom is drooling all over one handsome little pretty face?
ReplyDeleteSpider-Man requires more than that, more than Garfield
You can't tell with that show anymore.
ReplyDeleteHe's so beloved it would never be allowed.
ReplyDeleteYay disrespectful condescending Mac is here. Don't start with me. Not today. You're flame war shit is getting old.
ReplyDeleteI so understand. I was like.. oh no! Not another one xD
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid Dylan might decide to leave to focus on his movie career especially if he really is going to be Spiderman. That's why I got scared when I read his name.
ReplyDeleteRight? That show ruined us lol
ReplyDeleteFlame war? It's an opinion, too bad you disagree. I have no interest in seeing a fairly untalented actor portray a major character like that in the MCU. But ooooohhhh Graydon, the great, disagrees thus it's just there for flame wars...
ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no problems with you disagreeing with me on this, I merely find your dickish attitude on it insufferable.
ReplyDeleteI hope not, but if he does good for him. I mean it sucks for us but good for him.
ReplyDeleteCriticism = Dickish?
ReplyDeleteExactly, he deserves it but I hate to lose Stiles.
ReplyDeleteDickish = "ovarie broken fandom is drooling all over one handsome little pretty face?" Thanks for the nickname though. Graydon the Great. Nice to have a title.
ReplyDeleteI know, right?
ReplyDeleteSince I already have my "Mac, the Dickish" title ;)
ReplyDeleteLol. Wee but unfair. If it weren't so awkwardly long to say a lot. I'd say it was Mac the occasional dick, most of the time pretty cool guy.
ReplyDeleteTruth be told, i used to think like you... Then i saw him in Season 3B of Teen Wolf and i went from "meh" to "holy shit he's good". Teen Wolf isn't the best show to judge an actor for, imho.

Eddie Redmayne could be a solid pick

ReplyDeleteWell...Maguire is a solid actor though.
ReplyDeleteIs Redmayne too old? He looks 22 max.
I actually don't disagree on Gustin....if I think about it I could actually see it
Yeah I finished season 4 a couple of weeks ago.

ReplyDeleteI do love 3B for that (well and other shit but he's so damn good).
ReplyDeleteGrant's The Flash now though, that whole Marvel vs thing DC LOL
ReplyDeleteTrue contractually there'd be major issues. Funny enough though DC and Marvel often use a lot of the same actors.
ReplyDeleteWhich sucks for Dylan cause I think he's definitely outgrown the show...
ReplyDeleteI've actually heard there were ownership issues (again *eyeroll* )that prevented them from using Miles, but I've heard rumors they might try to include him... which would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteTerritorial Stiles, over Scott? Aw....
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a tumor they are casting SUPER young for Peter. Not just teenage looking but actual 15 year old actors? (which I guess makes sense... as he would be around 18 when they finally do start filming)
If only Dylan was 9 or 8 years younger...
