I just can't get over the CW's PR with these promo's. That narrator needs to go or be given new material. "Goodish"? Really. The clips were awesome! "Learn it, live it, love it." Please, please, please, let Sam shoot Metatron's simple behind. The most useless pansy-ass villain Supernatural has ever had. "It worked before" Azazel and Lucifer would laugh his ass out of Heaven and kick him out of Hell.
Once they get rid of Metatron and Rowena, I can begin to enjoy the second half of the season. (Or this season altogether) And wtf was with that "Good-ish" That was the lamest thing ever. I literally gave my wtf face???
I don't think it will go longer than 12. With these guys, you never know. I won't count them out til I read "Final Season Announced" at which point, I will just cry.
*Scratches head* ... does the -'ish' mean that SPN S11 will lead out of Arrow S4 - or will SPN be moved back to Tuesdays if iZ bombs in that timeslot? Your 'relief-ish' is as funny as the as the announcer's statement, Good job :) .
He's douche-"ish" ;) I just don't understand how they went so wrong with this character. Look at all of the crazy, badass or deadly serious villains Supernatural has had. Metatron looks like a bratty kid in comparison. He irks me so much, lol.
That's what I was thinking too. Metatron wouldn't fear a normal gun, unless he doesn't like any pain, but he goaded Dean in 10.10 to going nearly off the rails. And Metatron was definitely feeling some pain at Dean's punches. Metatron may have just admitted to NOT knowing squat about the MoC and that's why Cas gave Sam permission to just shoot Metatron OR Cas & Sam are trying to threaten Metatron to give them the info about the 'cure or the Moc' and the 'angel gun' is a fake. In any case I'm going with Metatron not knowing (LYING AGAIN - "It worked the first time") and just using the 'freebie' (Step 1: get the FB) to further incite Dean to violence because Metatron might have felt 'safe' from harm because his captor angels wouldn't let him be executed.
I don't understand it either. The show kills off far more interesting angels (Naomi, Gadreel - I'm only referring to the Carver years) and keeps this unfunny dbag for at least 3 seasons (8.21 on).
When the CW has enough programming to replace it with. This and TVD are still going because right now the CW needs the numbers. If a few more pilots pick up steam this fall, then they'll allow some of these older shows to wrap up.
Thanks :) I think the "ish" means "We're not moving it again this season....but next season, who the heck knows." I'd love to see Arrow/SPN paired again next season, but...
If SPN keeps its usual numbers on Wednesday, I think they may move it back to Thursday. TVD is sinking and they weren't able to launch a hit out of it when the ratings were great. The CW may want to shore up Thursdays. Thursday is an important night for ad rates.
Ugh! I agree her intro was the best. Everything after that is so lackluster, i can't stand it, and her effect on Crowley, makes me soooo mad! I can't. I want her gone.
Agree. Wish it would stop moving (Wednesday is great! Really!), but would not oppose a move back to Thursday if it has to go somewhere. SPN does well paired with female-skewing shows and would improve the year-over-year Thursday ratings by a mile. Plus, that would free up both of the network's strongest lead-ins for new series (esp. the male-skewing ones) or a promising sophomore (e.g., iZombie?).
Yes, I keep waiting for Crowley's nefarious side to resurface. Even though he was milder last season than in previous years, Crowley still manipulated Dean into getting the Mark of Cain and herded him into demondom. So far this season he's done a lot of sitting, pining, pondering, pandering and one nifty illusion trick he stole from his mum (and that was for the good guys). I'm all for a complex, quasi-human Crowley, but Rowena seems to have dulled the demon part right out of him. Still have hope that we'll see the reveal of a monstrously evil long con he's been playing, or at the very least a glimmer of the Crowley of old. Torture. Matricide. Something.
Yesssss!!! Agreed with everything you said. I'm so over his "mommy issues" I want the freaking king of Hell back!! I want my snarky, no nonsense demon back! I mean wtf?!?! Right now I can't even look at him w/o being so turned off/disgusted with what he's become. I find myself feeling angry/shame towards him every time he has a scene. Him silently begging her to stay, when she packed her bags and left, I mean wtf was that?!?! Ugh!! I'm not holding onto any hope right now. They just need to fix this shit.
I don't know what the -ish means either but evidently SPN has become the "Bones" of The CW - still a solid performer after many years - and The CW can put SPN where it pleases because at least ~ 75-80% of its loyal (Nielsen) viewers will continue to watch "Live" or "Live + Same Day" and the rest will 'delay watch'. Yes, I did like the Arrow/SPN pairing, too, but The CW has early renewed an unprecedented number of shows with two shows yet to premiere. I sort of half expect SPN to be moved next season too to make room for a mid-season show again. I have no real clue what next year's schedule will look like. I suspect some 'cheap co-productions' (Reign/B&TB at least) will be moved to late May 2016 premieres at least if The CW wants more original scripted programming for the summer.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
"And for now, it's for good...ish."
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a relief...ish.
I just can't get over the CW's PR with these promo's. That narrator needs to go or be given new material. "Goodish"? Really.

Azazel and Lucifer would laugh his ass out of Heaven and kick him out of Hell.
That line cracked me up so much... I played it over and over... I laughed so hard the first time that I didn't hear the "ish"...

ReplyDelete"Good-ish"
ReplyDeleteI wonder if The CW realize that Supernatural seems to be indestructible even when moving from night to night to night.
Cas: "Shoot him!" YES PLEASE!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteIs Metatron human-"ish" (lol) or does Sam have 'angel-killing' bullets in the gun? ITA Metatron is useless.
ReplyDeleteMetatron needs to die already, please kill him Sam.
ReplyDeletethey could turn an angel blade into bullets perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWell... Cole is a gonner! Nice knowing ya :'( or perhaps he will live through this one and have a spinoff series!
ReplyDeleteHe's douche-"ish" ;) I just don't understand how they went so wrong with this character. Look at all of the crazy, badass or deadly serious villains Supernatural has had. Metatron looks like a bratty kid in comparison. He irks me so much, lol.

ReplyDeleteEverything is awesome. But the Mark is really very very pale....That's strange...
ReplyDelete"and for now it's for good...ish" LMAO
ReplyDeletei don't remember that one
ReplyDelete:-( I think it sounds stupid when people add "ish" at the end of a word!
ReplyDeleteWhen the CW has enough programming to replace it with. This and TVD are still going because right now the CW needs the numbers. If a few more pilots pick up steam this fall, then they'll allow some of these older shows to wrap up.
ReplyDeleteYoutube "Supernatural Promo Tuesday" and you should find it – just Jensen and Jared talking to the camera (with a side of Crowley).

ReplyDeleteGood promo!! Can't wait :D I want to see Cole again! God, Metatron, I hate you!!!

ReplyDeleteThey probably more than realize it. Hence why it's been so easy for them to make the call. I've never seen a show bounce around like this ever.
ReplyDeleteMe neither, but it certainly shows SPN's potential still at its tenth season.
