Hi again, Shameless fans. I want to say a huge thank you to all of you making my first preview so popular and seeing the response on Twitter to last nights episode was wonderful, I’m so glad so many of you enjoyed the episode. Here’s some teasers and quotes for you to look forward to before this Sundays episode, with just 1 more episodes until the Season Finale!
Mickey does stand up to Sammi in a interesting way and she does ridicule him and may even pull out a gun, but Noel Fisher’s face is like “the f*** I care”, the shot alone is priceless.
Mickey and Debbie share some funny scenes together, you might even see Mickey a little scared / nervous for a moment which is rare (the exception being of his idiotic father). You will get some kind of torture against Sammi, mark my words, it'll be electric. Especially after the events she caused, Mickey has something planned which will be executed, something you’ll be happy with but don’t miss the last few minutes.
One of the most touching but also emotive moments is between Ian and a family member at the Military Prison, you might not expect something truly thought provoking to come out of this persons mouth but it does. This entire scene is simple but echoes with such honesty. The poignant dialogue between two struggling souls and a glass barrier is shot so simply. This scene highlights isolation in a subtle way. Cameron Monaghan’s acting reaches another level and for a second your reminded that he’s just a lost child, the camera work and the close ups of the faces speak volumes. However, this episode will also reveal a secret Ian's been keeping. It's not necessarily a bad thing but it's surprising.
At the Military Prison, the Gallagher's choice of words are particularly hurtful but it came from a good place, there just trying to get him of there by any means necessary. Here's the Sneak Peeks in case you missed them. The scene truly echoes so much emotion.
Another scene to look forward occurs between Debbie and Mickey and a Furniture Removal Box (you’ll understand when you see it), it’s quite funny and I was very happy with it and hopefully you will too. Both Emma Kenney and Noel Fisher were both excellent. If you liked the scene in a previous episode where Debbie was pretending to have bipolar to get some lithium you’ll enjoy this one too.
I’m not sure about you guys but so far I’m really liking Lip’s College Professor Helene. Sasha Alexander to me is perfection, her scenes are wonderful. This episode she takes Lip to visit some people whom could be helpful to Lip later on, it’s a enjoyable one where Jeremy Allen White acknowledges that theres nothing wrong with Southside and puts a guy in his place. Never forget where you come from. The reaction from Sasha Alexander is of utter pride, her eyes are particularily expressive in this moment.
Veronica and Kevin are forced to confront their issues after The Alibi gets flooded. I’ll tease that the ‘Wifely Duties’ comes up, things are yelled and a pool table is involved.
Bianca is getting a little too wild for Frank and that’s saying something since he’s about the wildest guy out there. As the promo indicated Bianca is getting extreme. Death knocking on her door is making her incredibly daring, the scene featured in the promo is really freaky, I don’t know why anyone would do that. They take wild to a completely new level during this episode and William H Macy’s face during it is hilarious.
To end, the ending really sets the stage for the season finale which has a surprising twist right at the end and before it, don’t change the channel after the first set of credits roll, theres always that sneaky tease like last years finale with Jimmy / Steve and theres one here, pay attention or rather listen very carefully. There are three endings of sorts, you’ll understand when you watch the episode, one of them most people will be okay with (or rather not really care) the other two, not so much...
