This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)
If you would like to see last weeks ratings for the same day so that you can compare, click this link.
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.
If you’re interested in Ratings/Renewals/Cancellations then we have a number of resources here at SpoilerTV that we recommend you check out.
Winners: Shark Tank, Blue Bloods
ReplyDeleteHonorable Mention: Hart of Dixie, Dateline
Losers: The Amazing Race, Glee
Shark Tank is a winner everywhere it goes
ReplyDeleteFriday is definitely a boring tv night but tomorrow is sunday, I am so freaking excited!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that it didn't blink with the 8pm slot. Damn!
ReplyDeleteSteady as they go are HoD,Glee
ReplyDeleteAlright Shark Tank, time for you to move to 8.
ReplyDeleteAwesome for Blue Bloods.
That is impressive for Blue bloods! CBS is definitely not cancelling it!
ReplyDeleteABC should move Shark Tank to 8 so it can help out LMS and a new comedy. Blue Bloods doing great!
ReplyDeleteNo one ever questioned that but TVBTN. Not sure why they still have it where it is. In fact, it could probably hit solid 1.6s on a different day.
ReplyDeleteI hope this ratings are well enough for HoD to get renewed.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the last 2 eps will be quite funny.
I guess H5O is in danger...
ReplyDeleteABC would be crazy not to move Shark Tank to 8pm next season.
ReplyDeleteBlue Bloods is doing amazing in this slot, building on its leadin.
ReplyDeleteH50 is getting cancelled sadly, now it has nothing going for it.
I agree. It seems like an easy move.
ReplyDeleteHawaii 5-0 was always in danger as they really need that timeslot for other shows.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have the half hours for The Amazing Race (if they're even released for Friday ratings)?
ReplyDeleteBlue Bloods also does really well in syndication. CBS is not even thinking about cancelling this show.
ReplyDeleteWhy should it be used to help a show going into its fifth season?
ReplyDelete1.2 | 1.1
ReplyDeleteFrom TVMediaInsights:
ReplyDelete8:00
CBS – The Amazing Race (time period return)
Viewers: 6.24 million (#2), A18-49: 1.2/ 5 (#2)
8:30
CBS – The Amazing Race (time period return)
Viewers: 6.07 million (#2), A18-49: 1.1/ 4 (#2)
I disagree. If they cancel Cyber and Battle Creek and move TAR to the summer or just straight out cancel it they can move Person of Interest and Elementary to weekend nights and they have three midweek slots to work with for new dramas. So H50's slot isn't needed.
ReplyDeleteI have Fridays as Undercover Boss/Person Of Interest or Elementary/Blue Bloods
ReplyDeleteSundays at 10 PM will be the other one of Person Of Interest/Blue Bloods.
That frees up Tuesday at 10 PM and Thursdays at 10 PM for another show. I also don't think they'll give up CSI: Cyber quickly. If it falters further, then they could slide in CSI: Cyber in a Friday timeslot and bench Undercover Boss. The CSI franchise is too lucrative for CBS not to continue with it in some form.
Undercover Boss can never produce full seasons so having it in the fall wouldn't solve the problem long term, they would have a hole to fill in at midseason and it would be harder to solve by then. Besides, I think its use as winter bridge this year went well enough that they will want to repeat it again either on Sunday or Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteAs for Cyber, it would need an exceptional hold to survive. I seriously doubt it is able to do it since it is already on pretty marginal territory to begin with. If it has a reasonable drop to 1.5 or so it will still be cancelled since CBS can easier do better.
Is there a particular reason why it can't produce a full season? I'm not doubting it, but I never read about that.
ReplyDeleteI never actually read it either, but I believe it is the case. I believe it is because it i hard to find enough companies to go undercover in proper time especially in later years as the format of the show gets more and more known. It only did 22 episodes for Season 2 but that was a technicality since most of them were filmed during Season 1 time (which only had 9 episodes). Other than that, they've always struggled with long orders. Which is why the show is perfect for midseason replacement and not permanent occupant.
ReplyDeleteCan somebody please give here half hours?
ReplyDeleteBlue Bloods was excellent last night and Hawaii Five-0 was pretty good too. I'd hardly call it boring.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I've been saying to The Cancellation Bear on Twitter. He keeps saying one of Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0 or The Good Wife will be canceled but I keep saying it shouldn't be Blue Bloods.
ReplyDeletewhy makes you say that?
ReplyDeletei don't know why but i still think CBS won't cancel H5O, we have like 7 episodes left and it is not actually that bad i mean the ratings are kind of in the middle not so great but not at the bottom either! So i have hope we will see season 6!!!
ReplyDeleteIs there any reason ABC is not putting Shark Tank at 8 permanently to give the TGIF comedy block decent lead-in?
ReplyDeleteTimeslot for H50 is needed for another show,1.2 is not good for CBS even on Fridays. Also H50 is not doing good in syndication.
ReplyDeletehow do you know it's needed for another show? plus, there's no guarantee another show would do well on friday at 9pm..
ReplyDeleteI disagree! H50 is second in viewers EVERY Friday and is beating "The Good Wife" in Viewers and ratings. Elementary is almost getting around the same rating and less viewers and it's in a way better time slot! Approx 10 million viewers every Friday night can't be "nothing going for it". It's such a great show. I really hope CBS keeps it going. I won't give up hope until I hear the words!
