I know a lot of people will be disappointed and I am too, but that really was a great episode. I know we didn't get to see whi A was, but they figured it out. Jason had a twin. Jessica apparently lied more then anyone thought. And the episode was awesome, it was twisted.. I might even say the best acting wise, written wise of the series. And I mean we all knew it wasn't going to be that easy, they weren't going to show us who it was. They have season 6 to do that. But now Spencers parents are involved and Caleb, Ezra, and Toby are on A trail as well as the cops now. There's an end in site, season 6 will be when we find out why and give a face to the name. I'm actually pretty pleased. Good for them.
If Charles is Jason's twin then he should be played by Drew Van Acker just with 'A's' personality unless they are fraternal twins and don't look identical.
I loved the whole "dollhouse" thing, and I'm happy more people are aware of A, but I really hope Charles is a character we've actually seen before instead of just Jason's crazy twin. Anyways, MONA IS ALIVE! (even though it was pretty obvious) I just want them to explain the body we saw in the trunk in the midseason finale. Overall, I enjoyed this episode, and I can't wait for season 6!
It was a predictable finale but it definitely was one of the most twisted episodes they've ever done! My theory is that I think Charles is Bethany's older brother, and since Bethany is related to Jason and Alison, Charles is connected to Jason, Alison and Spencer since they're all related. Charles probably used to be Jason's best friend or something and are probably the same age.
PS- Is it just me or does anybody else agree that this episode should've been two hours long? Its a season finale with a "big reveal", might as well make it your first two hour episode so we can have more info. A PLL season finale led into a rerun of The Fosters season finale?!?!? Really!?!?!?
That's my theory after watching tonight's episode. Maybe Jason and Charles (aka Andrew) are in this together from day 1. If I remember well, Andrew was featured in the first episode, I'm going to have to watch that one again!
Helpers: - A's lair was at Campbells farm, so Andrew is involved somehow. - Andrew was listening in at the brew, so he can't be Charles unless he can be in 2 places at once. - How did Tanner know what buttons to press to bring up the recordings? With how much she's tried to interrupt the investigation I highly suspect she is involved too. Someone would have had to tell A which police wagon was taking the girls to jail so they could track it.
Past Stuff: - Spencer's parents used to take her and Melissa to a farm to ride horses. Could it be this same farm? - Didn't Jason vanish for a while in 'Rehab' after the elevator accident in like season 2 or something? Could he have died and Charles taken over his life at that point? - Tippi was missing. - When Spencer mentioned Charles...shouldn't Mona have mentioned her anagram? Could it meaning 'Charles DiLaurentis' be a happy coincidence but one of the other anagrams in fact be accurate?
A/Charles/Dollhouse: - A has an obsession with Ali...so why not just capture Alison? Why capture Mona and have her pretend to be Alison? - I swear the liars should have tackled Charles and ripped the mask off when he was right there. - Where is the bathroom in the dollhouse?
Parents: - Peter Hastings hesitated before opening the box with secrets. He probably knows about the twins. Could that be why he constantly told Spencer that Jason was dangerous in earlier seasons?
Actually, the episode itself was really good, including the big reveal at the end.
The problem was with the advertisement for the episode. It led us to expect something very different from what was presented. However, what was actually presented was quite good.
Now, who exactly is this Charles? I'm sure we've seen him on the show before. Andrew? Ezra? Toby? Ian?
Alison DiLaurentis went missing and her 4 friends separated. But after a year Alison's body is found. The girls start getting text messages from 'A'. 'A' knows things that only Alison knew and begins hounding the girls.
As the show goes on, it's slowly revealed that theirs a whole A Team going against the girls. As they get closer to 'A' things get more...sadistic. A doesn't just want to tease the girls and have fun with them. A is literally torturing them, revealing their secrets and making their lives hell.
There had to be at least 2 people controlling the dollhouse. A was in the room when the liars had their fake fight, while someone else was controlling the camera since it panned over.
Andrew could potentially be that 2nd person controlling it remotely, however that seems too obvious since the lair was at Campbell farm.
Maybe Jason was harassing the girls while Andrew was trying to figure out what they were doing. I can't stop thinking about how one of the parents could be involved in all this. The Hastings are very suspicious, especially Mrs. Hastings.
I dont know what happened there. So A is Jason's not identical twin... tell me again what was the heartbreaking part of that reveal?. I knew we werent gonna see a face but i felt like i needed more. When Spencer told the girl they were recreating Ian and all those peoples Prom, that pretty much screamed Jason and then the videos when they show the twin that was pretty much all there was of the reveal. We didnt see a face, so lets get started on who can be Jason's twin. I wonder if Alli did something to him and he wanted revenge. And that revenge was getting rid of her friends while she was in jail. He says Allison as Mona is his favorite but that was a great play of him, if by any chances he Would've kill the girls and in some ways the police finds Mona as Allison then she was gonna be the one to blame because she was A in the first place and no matter what she says, teh real A would0ve been free.
I think Jessica DiLaurentis may actually be alive and pulling the strings. Her sons Jason and Charles aka Andrew ( whose was a abducted that day in the film and reunited as a adult ) are working along side her.
Is it possible the home movie we saw wasn't of Jason and his twin Charles at the farm with mother Jessica and sister Alison but Jason' s younger ( by a year ) and Alison' older brother who was abducted shortly after this was made ?
Good theory. But why hate on Ali so much? Maybe Jason and Charles are not Mr. Hastings' after all. Maybe they are Bethany's half brothers. That would give em reason to hate on Ali, because she told Bethany about the affair. There are so many questions, I doubt they will remember all of them to give us answers in 10 episodes.
That was one crazy good episode! I loved it, best episode of the season IMO!! So Charles = Jason's twin, who could it be?? Andrew would be too obvious, so ...???
As expected,The Big A reveal or the lack of it sucked royally but the episode itself was pretty good.It was creepy and kinda shrouded in mystery-i liked that. That dollhouse is scary!
Novel Spoiler Ahead So Read At Your Own Risk So they changed twins Alison and Courtney DiLaurentis from the novels to twins Jason and Charles DiLaurentis for the TV series.
I didn't watch the episode yet, so please can someone answer me the question(without spoilers) : Did we get any answer at all, or it was mislead like always? Thanks!
But her eyes were cloudy and her skin was grey. She looked dead, like zombie dead. A likes to play dress up, so I guess he could have made her up as "dead" so she could be "reborn" as Allie.
THANK YOU, I was just expecting the name but this short version's better. I just wanted to know because my gf watches it and she spoiled me The Flash, so I wanted to tease her back. Question: haven't they already "revealed" it and then confirmed it's a wrong name?
However in this case, Charles is apparently the characters real name but they have been on the show before as someone else. Who, we don't know. But the production team have confirmed that we have met Charles before under a different name.
That's led to various theories. Has Jason (Alison's brother) been Charles the entire time or did they swap at some point? Is Charles transgender and someone we know as a girl is really a boy? ect
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteIt was good episode at least we know Jason had a twin he is A and his name is Charles
ReplyDeleteYeah, Jason had a twin. Charles is his name.. so we got a namd but no face, and not why.
ReplyDeleteIf Charles is Jason's twin then he should be played by Drew Van Acker just with 'A's' personality unless they are fraternal twins and don't look identical.

ReplyDeleteMore than likely, Mona was probably drugged when her eyes we open. So that would explain what we thought was a dead body at the end in the trunk.
ReplyDeleteSo could Andrew ( aka Charles ) Campbell be Jason's fraternal twin, Alison's brother, and Spencer & Melissa's brother ?
ReplyDeleteAn excellent episode but a terrible reveal...
ReplyDeleteTwins ?
ReplyDeletetoo young to be jason's twin.he's likely charles' helper.

Drew ( Jason DiLaurentis ) Van Acker turned 28 April 2nd and Brandon ( Andrew Campbell ) Jones is 27 in May.
ReplyDeleteali was baby in video and andrew is suspose to be liars age.Charles is suspose to be jason, melissa, cece, and ian's age.
ReplyDeleteThat's my theory after watching tonight's episode. Maybe Jason and Charles (aka Andrew) are in this together from day 1. If I remember well, Andrew was featured in the first episode, I'm going to have to watch that one again!
ReplyDeleteHi, I don't watch the series but I can't resist not being curious about it. Could you please explain who is A to a not fan?
ReplyDeleteWow I don't even...where do I start...
ReplyDelete- That was creepy as f*ck
Helpers:

An extremely abridged version:

As the show goes on, it's slowly revealed that theirs a whole A Team going against the girls. As they get closer to 'A' things get more...sadistic. A doesn't just want to tease the girls and have fun with them. A is literally torturing them, revealing their secrets and making their lives hell.
I think the implication with the film and pictures was that Charles is Jason's Twin. I expected the reveal to have a little more clarity though.
ReplyDeleteOnly problem with our theory is 'A' was harrassing the girls when Andrew was hacking Spencer ' s mother's phone call.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is he is involved but he's not Charles.
ReplyDeleteThere had to be at least 2 people controlling the dollhouse. A was in the room when the liars had their fake fight, while someone else was controlling the camera since it panned over.

ReplyDeleteIt's possible but the youtube page seems to be going ahead with the them being twins which many are taking as confirmation:
ReplyDeletePretty Little Liars - Season Finale 5x25: Jason Has A Twin (Clip)

Is the YouTube channel run by a fan or the show ?

ReplyDeleteThe show.

ReplyDeleteNovel Spoiler Ahead So Read At Your Own Risk
ReplyDeleteSo they changed twins Alison and Courtney DiLaurentis from the novels to twins Jason and Charles DiLaurentis for the TV series.
Think this was a really good episode. Not really happy with the way it cocluded.
ReplyDeleteI hated the spoiler about Mona still being alive but it played out well, itbwas understandable.
Could Spencer have gotten it wrong and 'HELACRS' ( the blocks ) spelled another name besides Charles??
ReplyDeleteOkay surprised and sort of relieved that Mona is alive. But geez, that ending was a doozy.
ReplyDeletePersons Unknown much?
Awful, awful, awful.
ReplyDeletei found funny that once again was Spencer the one who discovered everything and Mona being there for a second time with her.
ReplyDeleteYa,besides spencer and emily, the other two girls are way too dumb to figure out anything, forget the identity of A!
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the episode yet, so please can someone answer me the question(without spoilers) : Did we get any answer at all, or it was mislead like always? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe don't see A's face. We do learn A's name, and how A is connected to the girls.
ReplyDeleteBut her eyes were cloudy and her skin was grey. She looked dead, like zombie dead.
ReplyDeleteA likes to play dress up, so I guess he could have made her up as "dead" so she could be "reborn" as Allie.
Thanks. What happend with "you will see A without mask or hoodie in the season finale"? Another mislead.
ReplyDelete"Charles DiLaurentis" is an anagram of "Nerd Lucas is the liar". Lucas was the brother. But why doesn't Jason remember him? Or does he? Thoughts?
ReplyDeleteWe see A as a child. I think Marlene was refering to that scene.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, I was just expecting the name but this short version's better. I just wanted to know because my gf watches it and she spoiled me The Flash, so I wanted to tease her back.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: haven't they already "revealed" it and then confirmed it's a wrong name?
Kinda. They tend to do a fake out very often.
