All my Emma/August OTP feels are back with a vengeance and I think I'll be writing a fic tomorrow if I'm up to it. God, I missed him so much and they better not screw this up. I don't appreciate them hurting him.
And yay, Ursula got her voice back! I'm so happy for her.
Still wondering where Ana is and why Will with isn't with her.
Oh man, how skeazy August was just came SCREAMING back. I assume he and Hook will be hanging around in the bar now, having drinks over their obsession with Emma and the gross things they've done to her.
Would it have killed OUAT to have had a black character for more than a handful of episodes? :( I really liked Ursula. It's sad that her story had the same misogynistic and abusive paternalism that most of the women's stories have, with Ursula being hurt solely because Hook was a dick.
I was totally into Ariel being literally the only character who said a single thing that made sense the entire episode though. It really hit home how stupid the author storyline is. And I loved it as a way for characters to play roles in the others lives without an entire episode being based around it.
THE AUTHOR'S IN THE FREAKING BOOK?!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!! DID NOT EXPECT THAT WHOA!!!!!!!!!! AUGUST GOT RESCUED AWESOMESAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i loved Emma and August's reunion so much, loved seeing Ariel back!!!!!!!!!!!! so is Ursula just redeemed like that, strange but cool
you see Emma and August as a ship? huh i always saw them as brother and sister because the creators said that they're like siblings, hmm interesting. My anger is getting bigger and bigger regarding Will, someone needs to ask the creators what they thinking when they dd this to OUAT in Wonderland
- You know who's a good tracker, Charming? Ruby. - How is Will in love without his heart? - The key to Hook's vault is the back of his hook? That's actually kind of great. - Emma and August had so much more chemistry in 10 seconds, than CaptainSwan has ever had. SwanQueen still has the best chemistry. - How did Hook bring Ursula her happy ending? That's Emma's thing. Apparently Hook can do that now too. - Regina, you're misinterpreting that dream. The Evil Queen is trying to save you from Robin.
A little boring, definitely prefer the episodes that center around Maleficent.
Interesting that villains can get their HEA and yet they can't WTF? I liked Ariel's take on villains and happy endings. Ihope that's the actual lesson/theme of the season.
nice Ruby thinking, unfortunately Will DOES have his heart, LOL on the chemistry between Emma and August, they DID thought didn't they? You're really going with the whole because Maleficent's a dragon so she lays eggs thing, so does that make Lily a dragon too? you're completely and totally right about regina
- I'm going with Will not having his heart because he's not with Anastasia. That would probably put this, for him, between originally going to Wonderland, and his return to Wonderland. We know that White Rabbit retrieved him from Storybrooke. - In the preview they show the Charmings stealing Maleficent's egg.
Ingrid's spell affected him and the spell only affected those with hearts, Hook wasn't affected because he didn't have HIS heart so no he has has his heart back. Oh i didn't see her egg
Love it so happy that Ursula got her voice back and I'm assuming her happy ending young Ursula really look like a princess yay Ariel was back and I like what she said to Hook maybe because villains go about getting it the wrong way their happy ending I know their a lot of Emma and Hook fans but to me Emma had more chemistry with August then she does with Hook but luckily I don't ship couples How awesome was that smoke possession That dream Regina had I believe it's telling her Robin Hood in danger and since we know Zelena is coming back I believe it has to do with her OMG! The author trap in the book
I have theory since we know we having a two hours finale what if the author rewrote the book and the villains become the heroes and the heroes became the villains and Henry have to travel back in time to convince Regina to become a villain Regina is Snow White and Snow White is Regina in the story and Regina had to kill the thing she loves the most and it's Cora this time since we know she coming back
So that's it for Ursua's story? No right?. It was a great episode but i dont think that willl be it for her. That twist on the author. How in hell did you get yourself trap in the book. lol.
So is that all we ar getting of urusla? Is she gone now? And now after this episode people will realize that s urusla was not th sam one regina pretended to be last season
I loved every moment of that episode! I hope that isn't the last we see of Ursula though, since she was a villain her happy ending shouldn't last. They keep getting closer and closer to Hook actually showing remorse but they never quite get there. That's all I need and I can finally like his character. That possession thing Regina did was so cool! The ways Rumple tortured August were so clever, I loved that. Hearing that same music from The Little Mermaid gave me so many nostalgic feels! The author being trapped in the big is interesting, I'm really looking forward to seeing how that one plays out. The next episodes looks really emotional, I can't wait for it.
nope it was because he had his heart, he even said it on the episode. I'm sorry, i don't want to discourage you but i don't want you getting your hopes up
I think the thing with most of these villains is that the solution is just right in front of them yet they can't see it for some reason. Rumple always had his yet he is blinded from it because of his addiction to power.
The same can be said with Ursula. She didn't realize in this episode that her happy ending was right there, a remorseful ex-Ghostbuster of a sea king.
One thing OUAT always relies on: There are no good parents and they will always destroy their children forcing their own will on them. I loved the twist with the door on the page being the actual door. It's a nice allusion to the painting "C'est ne pas une pipe" clearly pointing out that magic crosses our rules of reality.
I liked the twist. I thought the same thing as Emma, that Regina is afraid of her evil self. When Regina said the Evil Queen wanted to protect him I thought two things: What is able to frighten the Evil Queen so much and how interesting it would be to know how the Evil Queen would have reacted towards Robin back in her days?
I though them to be more like a pairing, too. I mean they did not grew up together so how could they be like siblings? And they met when they were grown ups. Emma could not remember that he was supposed to protect her.
Im already sick of the nervous puppys that go around because of August.
There will be NO love Triangle with him,Emma and Killian. There will NEVER be Swan Queen as even something as close as a couple. Emma and Killian have been written as each others True Love...if you cant see it now...then you have no talent in reading context,body/facial language, common sense, storytelling etc.
I've never thought Gold was redeemable. But we've been watching 4 seasons of him abuse multiple women and have it portrayed as a good thing so I was hoping they'll just give up on that.
I'm probably not the only one. I'm actually kind of shocked at how many people don't hate someone who destroyed Emma's life for himself because he was jealous.
that why I don't believe that Belle has the "Stockholm Syndrome". That why I asked this question: without true love you can't break any curse. No "Stockholm Syndrom" for me. No, real love between Rumple and Belle
I liked Graham as a love interest. Although I loved the twist when Regina killed him because I really did not see it coming. Other than that giving Emma's record she seems to have an interest in guys who screw with her. She nearly got engaged to a flying monkey for crying out loud.
I like that idea. I really hope that's the story they're trying to tell, I think that ties in nicely to Ariel's comment about them going about getting their Happily Ever After the wrong way. It would be nice if the Villains (who reform) just realize that what they want is being kept from them, by them. Maybe Regina's idea of HEA isn't her real HEA and what's real is what she has, a son who loves/accepts her and a deep friendship with Emma.
True. At the end of the day, the only one really hell-bent in finding the Author is Rumple himself to compromise his wanting of an HEA and his yearnings for power. He fails to realize countless times that he had every chance to walk away from being this power hungry maniac in order to become a loving a caring man who has found the love of his life and a grandson who loves him no matter what.
Mal will find hers eventually since we know deep down she's just like everyone else, while I'm not really sure what Cruella is looking for as her happy ending, apart from the obvious lust for material wealth.
Glad August was back, but that's all. I hope there won't be any love triangles. It was nice, except that nose thing. It was awkward. LOL. Also, how cool would it be if Joe Morton played Ursula's dad?
Absolutely beautiful episode! I adored how Ursula ended up being the first Little Mermaid. Having her sing the song from the movie gave me chills. I'm so happy she got her happy ending. The love scene between Hook and Emma was one of the best ever of the series, with any couple. It almost seemed unbelievable that Emma didn't already know that she is his happy ending, but it makes sense considering her past. Remember, she always thought she was a lost girl who didn't matter and never would. The way she cried when she kissed him melted my heart. After last night, they'd better be endgame or the fans will revolt. : ) I don't think August is back for a love triangle--my understanding is that he is back for only a couple of episodes. And I always saw their relationship as more of a brother/sister thing, too.
To be honest, I didn't like Graham/Emma the first time around, but in a few rewatches, I think he's basically the only love interest on the show that Jennifer Morrison ever had some serious chemistry with. Which is funny because Jamie Dornan is not a good actor in pretty much everything else, but I genuinely liked his scenes with her in 107.
I don't know if I'd say Stockholm Syndrome anymore. Rumple has been abusing Belle since the moment they met so it's basically just terrifying abuse, not Stockholm Syndrome. I mean, I can't think of a single time in which Rumple wasn't blatantly walking all over Belle or trying to manipulate her in some way.
Rumple, unfortanely, is the master of manipulation. Nevertheless I wish him a good end, with or without Belle. Perhaps a new love interest ;-) because I love him since beginning, such a difficult man, struggling between bad and good.
and when u read in news "jealous husband kills wife" people don't understandnwhy....if i ever meet someone like rumple i will stay as far away as possible and sorry but someone who defends rumple after everything he has done has no right to call hook anything...rumple is abusive, manipulative, liar, selfish, only wants power, do bad thing all the time, while regina andhook redeemed themselves, so no....rumple don't deserve Belle....Belle deserves way better than this
The timeline of this show is so skewed, man. It's like every character has lived long enough to know all the other characters but some never age and some do. WHY! It's like they can't think of a better way to tell their stories so they use the same characters over and over again.
I liked the episode, but I was kind of disappointed by Ursula's story/farewell? All this time people were saying she was their least favorite, and I thought for sure she was just going to be the quite but deadly one... but I guess she just wasn't that evil. I don't know, the whole thing felt forced... like they kept pushing the mother story for her reason for being evil, because even they didn't feel like it was a good reason. Maybe proper storylines just take time to build up, and we didn't have that in this case. Oh well, good episode otherwise. What I am really liking about this arc is that the secrets that are introduced aren't all coming out in the finale... it feels like season one again when there was a cliffhanger and a little give and take in each episode. For example, it only took Belle one episode to realize that Rumple was posing as Hook, and looks likes Emma is about to learn the truth about her parents. It's refreshing to have these things spread out instead of all being piled up and thrown out at once in the finale. Maybe Once does this more than I think, but either way, I'm just glad to see it happening.
Yeah, he was just stalking a girl and staring at her with her boyfriend, ruined her life and then happened to show up and flirt with/ask her on a date because COINCIDENCE. Him asking her out had nothing to do with LIKING her or anything.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Great Main story follow up!
ReplyDeleteUrusla's backstory underwhelming!
All my Emma/August OTP feels are back with a vengeance and I think I'll be writing a fic tomorrow if I'm up to it. God, I missed him so much and they better not screw this up. I don't appreciate them hurting him.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay, Ursula got her voice back! I'm so happy for her.
Still wondering where Ana is and why Will with isn't with her.
Great episode!
Love it so happy Ursula got her voice back and happy ending so much feels between Emma and August hope they don't change him back
ReplyDeleteHook is pathetic. Just that.
ReplyDeleteNext week Rumbelle is back so FREAK OUT and suck it haters ;D
Oh man, how skeazy August was just came SCREAMING back. I assume he and Hook will be hanging around in the bar now, having drinks over their obsession with Emma and the gross things they've done to her.
ReplyDeleteWould it have killed OUAT to have had a black character for more than a handful of episodes? :( I really liked Ursula. It's sad that her story had the same misogynistic and abusive paternalism that most of the women's stories have, with Ursula being hurt solely because Hook was a dick.

ReplyDeleteweirdly cool hearing Hook say Elsa LOL
ReplyDelete*sniffs* I'm smelling the pungent aroma of a love triangle coming up.
ReplyDeleteyou see Emma and August as a ship? huh i always saw them as brother and sister because the creators said that they're like siblings, hmm interesting. My anger is getting bigger and bigger regarding Will, someone needs to ask the creators what they thinking when they dd this to OUAT in Wonderland
ReplyDeletehuh? between who?
ReplyDeleteYup, I've always shipped Emma/August because they don't seem sibling-like to me.
ReplyDelete- You know who's a good tracker, Charming? Ruby.
ReplyDelete- How is Will in love without his heart?
- The key to Hook's vault is the back of his hook? That's actually kind of great.
- Emma and August had so much more chemistry in 10 seconds, than CaptainSwan has ever had. SwanQueen still has the best chemistry.
- How did Hook bring Ursula her happy ending? That's Emma's thing. Apparently Hook can do that now too.
- Regina, you're misinterpreting that dream. The Evil Queen is trying to save you from Robin.
huh cool, the scene WAS very lovers having been separated for years and separated
ReplyDeleteEmma, Hook, and August. If you want to turn Emma dark, going through Hook is the best way to do it.
ReplyDeleteI imagine they're going to turn her dark by destroying her faith in the people that she loves. The Charmings seem to be first on the list.
ReplyDeleteHook confession to Emma stole the show tonight!
ReplyDeleteThe Charmings are the only ones on the list LOL
ReplyDeleteyou think?
ReplyDeleteit was bound to happen wasn't it? he's a former villain that got his happy ending
ReplyDeleteA little boring, definitely prefer the episodes that center around Maleficent.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that villains can get their HEA and yet they can't WTF? I liked Ariel's take on villains and happy endings. Ihope that's the actual lesson/theme of the season.
HEA? happy ending already?
ReplyDeleteyou really thought gold was redeemable? gold was NEVER redeemable and geez you REALLY hate August, well you're the only one
ReplyDeleteRuby!!! Miss her.
ReplyDeletePoseidon wasn't Ariel's father wasn't her her grandfather? Triton was her dad?
Happily ever after
ReplyDeleteOops, you're right. Been a looooooooooooong time since I saw The Little Mermaid.
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda sad that rumple can do so much damage without his magic!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing August. Happy there's progress coming abt the author. But what happens to the boy? Visit papa worried!?!
Hate Will. They might as well can him. He is pointless.
Haha. I have a 6 yr old. I was pretty sure lol.
ReplyDeletenice Ruby thinking, unfortunately Will DOES have his heart, LOL on the chemistry between Emma and August, they DID thought didn't they? You're really going with the whole because Maleficent's a dragon so she lays eggs thing, so does that make Lily a dragon too? you're completely and totally right about regina
ReplyDeleteoh duh LOL my goodness i completely forgot that one and Hook just said it HA!
ReplyDeleteyou mean you hate his storyline right? not ACTUAL Will? scary though, how gold can cause damage even without magic
ReplyDeletestill waiting for Flounder and Sebastian LOL
ReplyDelete- I'm going with Will not having his heart because he's not with Anastasia. That would probably put this, for him, between originally going to Wonderland, and his return to Wonderland. We know that White Rabbit retrieved him from Storybrooke.
ReplyDelete- In the preview they show the Charmings stealing Maleficent's egg.
it is? and it's a Stockholm Syndrome romance deal with it
ReplyDeleteIngrid's spell affected him and the spell only affected those with hearts, Hook wasn't affected because he didn't have HIS heart so no he has has his heart back. Oh i didn't see her egg
ReplyDeleteLove it so happy that Ursula got her voice back and I'm assuming her happy ending young Ursula really look like a princess yay Ariel was back and I like what she said to Hook maybe because villains go about getting it the wrong way their happy ending

The Ursula resolution was too neat. One apology from daddy after however many years of evil and she's ditching the Queens and leaving town? Meh.
ReplyDeleteAnd couldn't Ariel and Ursula have been in a scene together?
hey at least she asked if that was the REAL Ursula
ReplyDeleteI was relieved when younger Ursula FINALLY mentioned that she was just named after the sea goddess, that they were two separate entities.
ReplyDeletetrue, and it surprised me that she was a mermaid first
ReplyDeleteI was amused by Cruella being all hot for his non-puppet scruff. Oh Cruells!
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the Evil Queen warning Regina that her love put Robin in danger.
ReplyDeleteSo that's it for Ursua's story? No right?. It was a great episode but i dont think that willl be it for her.
ReplyDeleteThat twist on the author. How in hell did you get yourself trap in the book. lol.
when gold dies it'll be all OUR happy ending
ReplyDeleteSo is that all we ar getting of urusla? Is she gone now? And now after this episode people will realize that s urusla was not th sam one regina pretended to be last season

ReplyDeleteI thought Hook wasn't affected because Gold was controlling him.
ReplyDeletenope it was because he had his heart, he even said it on the episode. I'm sorry, i don't want to discourage you but i don't want you getting your hopes up
ReplyDeleteso that WAS from the movie? i wasn't sure, awesomesauce!!!
ReplyDelete"Does this mean that Ariel is no longer Poseidon's GRANDdaughter?"
ReplyDeletePoseidon hava also a son, named Triton and he have Ariel as a daughter.
I'm with you here, I see them as siblings too.
ReplyDeleteI think the thing with most of these villains is that the solution is just right in front of them yet they can't see it for some reason. Rumple always had his yet he is blinded from it because of his addiction to power.
ReplyDeleteThe same can be said with Ursula. She didn't realize in this episode that her happy ending was right there, a remorseful ex-Ghostbuster of a sea king.

ReplyDeleteI loved the twist with the door on the page being the actual door. It's a nice allusion to the painting "C'est ne pas une pipe" clearly pointing out that magic crosses our rules of reality.
I felt the air flickering when Emma rescued August. They do have more chemistry in this scene than CS had since S2.
ReplyDeleteI liked the twist.
ReplyDeletewow people really think that, they DO don't they though?
ReplyDeleteI though them to be more like a pairing, too. I mean they did not grew up together so how could they be like siblings? And they met when they were grown ups. Emma could not remember that he was supposed to protect her.
ReplyDeletei guess, i just thought because the creators called them brother and sister
ReplyDeleteJust a feeling. ;-) But I don't really care who Emma ends up with as long as it makes sense.
ReplyDeleteNeal
ReplyDeleteIm already sick of the nervous puppys that go around because of August.
ReplyDeleteThere will be NO love Triangle with him,Emma and Killian.
There will NEVER be Swan Queen as even something as close as a couple.
Emma and Killian have been written as each others True Love...if you cant see it now...then you have no talent in reading context,body/facial language, common sense, storytelling etc.
how can breaks a true kiss a curse in "Skin Deep" with a Stockholm Syndrom? only a question, not more.
ReplyDeleteBut why did Ariel never heard of her aunt Ursula? I think the family tree in the show is a bit different.
ReplyDeleteI've never thought Gold was redeemable. But we've been watching 4 seasons of him abuse multiple women and have it portrayed as a good thing so I was hoping they'll just give up on that.
ReplyDeleteI'm probably not the only one. I'm actually kind of shocked at how many people don't hate someone who destroyed Emma's life for himself because he was jealous.
Obviously you can. Awww, true love's kiss in Skin Deep. The first time Rumple violently assaulted Belle. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteOh man, I hope not. Emma needs a GOOD boyfriend, not a choice between two gross ones.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely made me wish the show would stop throwing shitty men at Emma over and over again.
ReplyDeletelool I thought the exact same thing with " ceci n'est pas une pipe" and the door ! glad I was not the only one !
ReplyDeleteMe, too. I am glad someone understands me. ;)
ReplyDeletethat why I don't believe that Belle has the "Stockholm Syndrome". That why I asked this question: without true love you can't break any curse. No "Stockholm Syndrom" for me. No, real love between Rumple and Belle
ReplyDeleteI liked Graham as a love interest. Although I loved the twist when Regina killed him because I really did not see it coming.
ReplyDeleteOther than that giving Emma's record she seems to have an interest in guys who screw with her.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
ReplyDeleteMal will find hers eventually since we know deep down she's just like everyone else, while I'm not really sure what Cruella is looking for as her happy ending, apart from the obvious lust for material wealth.
Glad August was back, but that's all. I hope there won't be any love triangles. It was nice, except that nose thing. It was awkward. LOL.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how cool would it be if Joe Morton played Ursula's dad?

ReplyDeleteand sorry but someone who defends rumple after everything he has done has no right to call hook anything...rumple is abusive, manipulative, liar, selfish, only wants power, do bad thing all the time, while regina andhook redeemed themselves, so no....rumple don't deserve Belle....Belle deserves way better than this
just not Will
ReplyDeleteoh ok, how was he jealous?
ReplyDeleteWell his character is blah. I don't know him personally :)
ReplyDeleteThe timeline of this show is so skewed, man. It's like every character has lived long enough to know all the other characters but some never age and some do. WHY! It's like they can't think of a better way to tell their stories so they use the same characters over and over again.
ReplyDeleteGraham is the only love interest I was mildly interested in.
ReplyDeleteHa!!, OK. that made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI liked the episode, but I was kind of disappointed by Ursula's story/farewell? ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Ursula? Is that okay? One of the best episodes of the second arc IMO
ReplyDeleteYeah, he was just stalking a girl and staring at her with her boyfriend, ruined her life and then happened to show up and flirt with/ask her on a date because COINCIDENCE. Him asking her out had nothing to do with LIKING her or anything.
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the better episodes this series and I liked Ursula's story. I just hope this isn't the last we see of her.
ReplyDeleteOf course it is okay. The entire point of the show is for us to feel bad for the villains.
ReplyDelete
