We got a very interesting preview of probably the side effect of Skye's powers, the ability to burst blood vessels but this time she's doing it to herself. This ep gave us more questions then answers to be honest! How I wish this was a Netflix release
May and Andrew's banter was absolutely perfect and I loved every minute of it! Blair Underwood is the perfect person to play May's ex-husband and such a great addition to the show. More of him please! And I was laughing so much at how everyone was shocked that May was once married in her life XD Especially Fitz's "He seems nice" response haha.
Awww another mention of Robert Coulson! :') I would love to know more about him in the future and see what he was like since his death was such a critical moment for Phil in his life. Also, Cal is one crazy son of a bitch and he continues to be such a delight. Seriously, that scene where he was trying to lure Coulson to the football field was so freaking great as was the fight scenes between May vs. Francis Noche and Bobbi vs. Karla Faye Gideon (as always)
Looks like Skye is going to need some specially designed gloves so she can get a better handle on her powers. Just like her comic book counterpart ;) But I'm just glad that the team is doing everything they can to make sure that she's okay.
There are literally hundreds of theories floating in my head right now about what the hell "real SHIELD" means. My two top theories is that Mack and Bobbi are working for Maria Hill and the Avengers, then STRIKE (because of Winter Soldier and it could be that they're trying to build it up again since there were also HYDRA traitors in the organization). I'm so looking forward to next week so we can get some more information on what the hell is going on.
Episode was great! i love Crazy papa Cal, the actor is phenomenal. And I liked May's husband, can we keep him? BUT I'm all about next episode with this "Real SHIELD" and Grant Ward is back! We have too many sides and too many teams. Bring it on.
I am so gonna laugh when Mack and Bobbi sees that they are being played by HYDRA. I really like that guy with no eyes. I can bet Skye will go to them for help
An alright episode. I think Cal works better alone his group of outlaws only push him more to the side he didn't want to be in.
damn Simmons every opportunity she gets its suppress, put down, stop... Now more secrets with Coulson to find a way to stop her and those like her. I mean its good to have something to stop ppl if they plan to protect normals, but if its ever used on Skye by them, I won't like it.
It was nice to see Lincoln again, and I wonder who Cal is going to meet. Also it was good that Coulson became aware of an other factor in the power sector, tho its something he should be aware of already.
Skye really should listen to her shrink for once and leave Shield for a while. If she doesn't at least learn to channel her powers in some field.
and Real Shield.... lol (I forget, does rest the of the team after S1 know that Fury is alive? is it because they don't know that someone was able to form another Shield and influence Bobbi and Mack.)
I don't think they know that Fury is alive. I think that there is a group fighting within each other and that could explain why they want what Fury gave to Coulson.
Good episode. I love Cal. Interesting that Gordon didn't take Skye too. I wonder who is in charge of the Inhumans? Poor Skye. At this point, I'm looking forward to her leaving the team for awhile. She really needs to learn how to control her powers for her own sake. I loved the scenes with Skye/Andrew and May/Andrew. He seems like a good guy. I didn't care for that scene with Coulson and Simmons at the end of the episode.
Poor Hunter. I wonder if he will side with Coulson? I'm not really that surprised about "real SHIELD". I figured it would be something like this after I read Olmos' character is/was a SHIELD agent. A hostile takeover seemed likely. Interesting that the promo made it look like Ward might be with that group.
I am thinking it is ULTRON pulling the strings on the real shield. He is removing all threats to his soon to be DIABOLICAL plan. Remember, they run on the same time line.
I suppose Cal is at least correct in his perception of SHIELD, even under Coulson. They just care about Skye so they are less aggressive. The "Real" SHIELD is not a surprise, as we all saw that coming. It will be interesting to see a new story with Skye away from the team, if she indeed does leave it.
But weird how they briefly flashed Ward in between there, as I doubt the "Real" SHIELD would recruit him.
and how would you feel if Ward's part of that? Hunter, hmm i don't know, it feels like he's loyal to Coulson, i know in the beginning he was wasn't exactly WITH them but thought the season it feels like won't turn against Coulson
I knew that! lol over 100 shows I'm watching can't remember all the names off the bat.
But yes I knew it last week, forgot this week and just used the first name I thought was close to an inhuman. Used Gordon because coincienrtly I was looking up upcoming works of Luke Mitchell and saw he was gonna be on Shield as Lincoln.
what the hell is this so-called SHIELD, Coulson's SHIELD IS the real SHIELD!!! poor Skye, she doesn't deserve ANY OF THIS CRAP happening to her!!!!!!!!!! loved Andrew, come on Jemma you know you have feelings for Fitz so just admit it!!!!!!!!!!
SHIELD vs Real SHIELD, I love it. I can understand that after SHIELD fell apart some might not be happy with Coulson in charge, there are always power struggles in organisations and whilst the audience might be pro-Coulson, others might feel suspicious of an agent that came back from the dead being in charge.
Loved the crazy return of Cal and his band of misfits. So we know Cal isn't Inhuman but a science experiment, seems like he wishes he was Inhuman!
Andrew was great, May is a bad cook, loves Vegas and eloped!
That's scene where Skye saw the other gifted being arrested, but I didn't get it did she broke her amrs with her powers? Poor Skye the struggle is real for her. And what the hell A REAL SHIELD, WHATTTTTTT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"What is your thing? i was hoping it was wings" LMAO! He has no idea. Kyle is kiiling as Cal/ Mr. Hyde. I loved how they finally separated the Enchanced and Inhumans. They are all on the index but they are not the same.
I knew skye getting better to fast it was too easy. There was a catch and its a sad one. She was suppressing everything like May taugh her but she was just fooling herself and end up injuring herself. It's clear she needs to leave SHIELD so she can get better.
I can't wait to know who is in charge of the inhumans and they clearly aware of Skye but they have a different plan for her.
In the poll, instead of saying just poor they should write Poor Skye, because that's been my main thought lately about this show.
I really liked Andrew's character and her banter with May, it shows us another side of her that I really like. I can't wait to have him back.
Simmons is a hypocrite. She lied to Fitz first but got really mad when he did the same, yet she does it again. I'm not really liking her this second half of the season.
I'm in love with Kyle for playing Cal, seriously, he's like the best character ever. His crazy and dramatics had me laughing a lot. So awesome. I noticed he looked kinda scare at Gordon "bosses", I wonder what they are going to do with him now. And he was right about 2 things: 1. Skye needs to be with people like her before she can be with normal people. 2. Why did Gordon not take her? She's the one that needs them more.
The Bobbi and Mack thing with Hunter, I don't even know what to say. The Real SHIELD? What the hell is going on? I'm so lost here...
And Skye. Poor sweet, but sassy, Skye, you can't take a brake, can you? Just when she thought she was controlling her powers she breaks her arms. So sad. I'm on Andrew's side on this one, she needs to leave SHIELD for a while, the pressure it's too much for her right now, she needs someone like her. Hopefully Gordon takes her soon and Lincoln shows her the way. And just before she faints, I like to think we are seeing the battle from her perspective, how SHIELD is hurting people like her and she realizes that the only reason they are not doing it to her too it's because they know her. This will be one of the reasons she decides to leave for a while, because even though I like the idea of another inhuman taken her with them, I think she will leave first and then the inhumans will find her.
Let's see how things go next week, it looks really awesome, like always.
(Don't mind my mistakes, english it's not my first language)
Wonderful episode. I was expecting a coup d’état eventually. Never trust professional liars.
Simmons’s hypocrisy continues to amaze me. Her relationship with Fitz was destroyed long ago and she was the one who did it.
My theories regarding the so-called “real SHIELD” is it has nothing to do with the Avengers, Hill, or Fury. This is because there was too much contempt for Fury in Mack’s introduction. They blame him for what happened and that distrust will trickle down to anybody associated with him, including the Avengers, Hill, or Coulson. I feel that before the fall, Hydra sowed seeds of distrust among the agents that they couldn’t corrupt to make it easier to manipulate things. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the Security Council spearheaded it because it was obvious that Fury wasn’t the puppet they wanted him to be, and they were planning a replacement all along. After the fall, this group of disenfranchised individuals form their own organization, which could be backed by what’s left of the World Security Council and now they want the toolbox.
I saw it coming too. Old Shield had so much personnel that I expected there to be lots of factions including one that has Nick Fury issuesand would not be happy with anyone he chose to be his successor. I wouldn't be surprised if they were backed by what's left of the World Security Council.
I really do think the Old Shield policies are a carryover from the Hydra infiltration but I do think it's going to take some time for the new organization to figure that out.
I think the Inhumans are waiting for Skye to leave SHIELD to get her. They seems like a smart group probably have been around for a long time avoiding SHIELD so they know showing up on their base and getting Skye in front of them wouldn't be a good idea. Also they must know Skye having powers and being a agent with SHIELD won't work well. My guess is they are cautiously watching her to see if he gets in trouble and they get her. It look like they know her but don't have the order to get her yet.
Pretty good theory! Would be interested to see that play out.
Totally agree re Fitz and Simmons. She's mad at him for lying, but she's the one that put the nail in the coffin on that relationship (repeatedly, at this point).
I read it as Gordon being smart. He said to Cal he was making too much noise. The Inhumans have survived this far by going quietly about their business. And they know from Raina how close to Shield Skye is. Him taking a live Shield agent would bring Shield looking for them, possibly exposing them. They need to wait for Skye to come to them.
I like this idea. I don't think Fury, Hill, or the Avengers have anything to do with this other SHIELD either. Why would they? i think it makes sense that there would be a group of SHIELD agents who don't agree with Coulson being in charge for any number of reasons.
I'm glad AoS rose, although considering the lack of competition, I'd been hoping it would be a little higher. I wasn't that enamored with the episode, though. I usually disagree with people who claim the show is "cheap and cheesy" (by TV standards, I find its production values solid), but Cal's team of supervillains was pretty lame. Fake-looking knife fingers, ANOTHER character with super-strength (can we stop using the most boring power of all?), the "super smart" guy who barely does actual stuff on screen, Angar the Screamer who only uses his scream once throughout the episode... and Mr. Hyde who STILL refuses to transform on-screen. Combined with Skye still being unable to control her powers, I'm starting to get the frustration of people who want to see some superpowers, flash (no pun intended) and thrill on the show. I realize it's a show about agents, not superheroes - I've been repeating that to naysayers ad-nauseam - but it's still Marvel; everyone wants to see more sci-fi and less procedural stuff.
P.S. To avoid being totally negative - I do like the "new SHIELD" twist - the spy vs. spy and double-crossing aspect of the series is something I've always enjoyed, and I look forward to this revelation being expanded on next week. The fight scenes (Bobbi vs. knife-fingers Karla and May vs. Francis, super-strong dude) were on point, as usual, and I like May's ex played by Blair Underwood. He's pretty cool and charismatic. Finally, Kyle McLachlan continues to KILL IT as Skye's deranged father, he's one of the best things about this season.
That ideology probably started with Hydra, but were they there at the founding of SHIELD weren't they or in its early days? Though with them headed toward the civil war, I don't think they would simply change those policies, even if its origins were discovered. Only as I'm sure most of SHIELD would probably agree with Simmons.
Shield is her family yes, but right now she needs people like her so she can learn to control her abilities. If not for everyone else's sake, then her own...because that's crazy how she did that. I'm not sure what to make of it yet. We don't really know too much, and I can't think of anything that pops out to me yet...so i'm just gonna wait til we know more before I can form an opinion about it.
Haha, now that I have more time to think about it and I wasn't coming off the TV high...Yah, I definitely see how Gordon is being smart about it...which made me think that they were waiting for Skye in someway reach out to them willingly, so that Shield won't get all crazy if they think they just took Skye. But now i'm curious as to who is the one giving the orders around there. I kinda wished we got some sort of update on Raina, but I guess that will be revealed when we get there. I wonder how Skye and Raina will react to each other.
Love the new SHIELD thing. Did the way Mack was holding the phone annoy anyone else? I completely missed what he was saying cos I was giving out about it in my head :/
I think he is online already. Last season the Hydra/Shield and Avengers and the Thor/Shield storyline followed each other. Writers already stated Shield will follow along timeline of Marvel movies, so we should watch them. And in the Avengers trailer, Ultron is instilling distrust among the avengers. I do think he is online already. He is planning ahead. Very smart. And I am betting on the theory that Ultron has masterminded and manipulated the other shield agents aka"REAL SHIELD" into doing what they are doing.
Ultron is brilliant. Shield writers already stated that the storyline will follow Marvel movies. Ulton is already shown in Trailers to cause distrust among Avengers. My theory is that Ultron has already begun to cause division among Shield. Could be using Scarlett Witch.

First we had HYDRA
ReplyDeleteThen all the Inhumans
And now another "real" SHIELD
oh, how much i love this show <3
Wat at the "real SHIELD". What does that even mean?
ReplyDeleteAnd ow, poor Skye. I like Andrew, though, and I'm glad he's returning. And LOL, I love Cal and his overdramatics.
What exactly are Coulson and Jemma doing? Not here for it.
Hmmm Real Shield? What kind of group is that?
ReplyDeleteWe got a very interesting preview of probably the side effect of Skye's powers, the ability to burst blood vessels but this time she's doing it to herself. This ep gave us more questions then answers to be honest! How I wish this was a Netflix release
