  3. Enjoyed it! I was greatly looking forward to full scenes with David Anders, and it didn't disappoint!

  4. Blaine is like a one man zombie plague!
Spreading the Team Z love one afterlife at a time.... Agent Z!
    - "Blaine? His name is Blaine? Oh! That's a major appliance, that's not a name!"

I am loving this series so far!
Although I find it a bit ironic and sad that Liv had to die to learn to live.. Also, at times it is a bit eerie how much Rose McIver sounds like Kristen Bell doing her Veronica Mars narration!

Being a Rob Thomas show I keep waiting to see more of the actors from his previous projects. The man is loyal... or just doesn't like to try new things maybe? XD

I find it so fun that Ravi is so nonchalant about meeting new zombies, but seriously .... Dude!
Historically speaking zombies have not been the most safe party guests... They eat brains and sometimes kill to get them.. Fresher the better. A little caution might be in order!

    Another solid episode.
I'm waiting to see if there is a seasonal mystery on top of the COTW similar to the Veronica Mars formula. Maybe the seasonal arc is Utopian and zombie origins?

  5. I thought it was very good, and I liked how they are setting up dealer zombie with dealing brains.

  6. I also think Ravi is a bit too chill about the undead. As a scientist, especially one who admittedly tried to warn the CDC about a possible zombie outbreak, his seeming lack of alarm or caution is odd.

  7. The show is lacking a seasonal arc or any kind of arc, but I am glad they are starting to set it up with Blaine. I just wished they've done that from the pilot.

  8. A decent second outing. I'll be back for more but the episode itself wasn't particularly significant. Glad we got see more of Blaine, and that they began setting up the overarching story.

  9. really enjoyed this second outing and loved how dying has somehow enriched her life, kinda like how the death of the artist made all of his work more valuable in a sense. loved all the players getting some fill in and the intro to the charismatic Blaine was great, and loved that Liv was wary of him and protective of Ravi (who, like some have mentioned is a little too chill/trusting about zombies existing)

  10. If the party on the boat, Utopian, or Blaine are a large part of the seasonal arc then they were all touched on in the pilot and the second episode. Wait and see I guess...

It was a lot more obvious in VM when she made it clear she would find her friend's killer, but Veronica was a working detective already passionately investigating... Liv never never had a passion for anything and wasn't looking into anything. It feels like Liv has to adjust to her new life (or un-life) and everything that comes with it before she dives into investigating that night or Utopian.

Who knows though, maybe there will not be an over-arching story like with VM... or maybe it will not be connected to the night she joined Team Z.

  11. Let's hope that whatever caused that Utopian batch to be bad, or whatever caused the zombification is not connected back to Ravi! Sometimes those do-gooder conspiracy people cause the problem they're trying to prevent...

  12. The who done it spin was entertaining. If only they had an arc, then I'd be heads over heels for the show. Im not a fan of procedurals, but my favorite characters are Liv/Ravi/Clive, who are the "weekly case solvers".

From the emotional side of the show, I get Liv still wants Major, but fears she would turn him. He represents her greatest temptation, and the struggle would mean a lot if I know more about Major. He seems like a good guy, but the kiss and the rejection did not do anything for me.

I also dont see value to adding Major and Peyton to the show. Especially Peyton. Why would Liv still live with Peyton if she is so afraid of anyone discovering her secret? This points grates. I might not have mind it if Peyton if she was cool character. Seriously, I havent complained this much about a character in a long time, but all she does is nag, condescend, shake her head in disappointment when she doesnt nag.... (This is coming from a person who did not mind Lori from TWD).

  13. The way I see it is: He has been observing Liv for a long time and didn't seen her hurt anyone or spread the virus. I guess he presumes all of the undead are like Liv, which shows his social naivety and his trusting nature.

I am sure that will change soon since I remember in one of the promos Ravi was yelling for help in an alleyway.

  14. when did they talk about Blaine's name?

  15. I hope TPTB are alluding to Baine's former boss as the big bad and/or behind the zombie outbreak. That would solve my complaint about the lack the arc storyline.

I just wish they do it.

  16. Like a tony stark situation? Hmmm.
I dont think Ravi's had a hand in it. My guess is he got canned from the CDC, because he was about to uncover the truth the government was hiding perhaps.

  17. This is a really fun Police Procedural show to watch, Its joining the list with Bones, Castle and Forever.

The after effect of eating brain for Liv is awesome. Like I said last week can't wait to see all the other types of characteristics she takes on, she will get to do so much.
    - Her going to Major's place was going to fail hard, and glad it did. I really don't think we need anymore drama then there is right now.

And her friend Peyton, yea really don't like her judgmental looks she keeps giving off, that one at the end made me go really!

  18. Much much better than the pilot, probably cause of the inclusion of Blaine. David Anders is just tremendouz.
Was quite intriguing and loved the artist personality Liv took on and how Rose played with the sexuality.

  19. That's a quote from Pretty In Pink.
Ducky says it to Andi about the guy she has a crush on.

  20. The second installment didn't disappoint, I'm really enjoying this show and Blaine this is going to be interesting he had me fooled for a minute, I thought Liv had found a confidant, dam I was about to call Liv, Veronica ha, ha, I enjoyed the case of the week, As well good show!!!!

  21. I went to liking this show to loving it because David Anders character is brilliant. He really brings something to the show that was lacking in the pilot.

I loved Liv turning into a art critic and artist, ha and when they were interviewing the wife and lover, how attracted to the lover she got.

  22. Damn this show is so, so good. I am glad it's not totally procedural and has serialized elements when it comes to everything else. Anyway. I really truly hope this AND The Messengers finds their way to The CW's schedule next year even though it's already crowded. At first I was rooting for TM over this but as much as I am positive I will love that, this is just great. It's so hilarious. Yet touching. And in some ways has even given me some good advice given things going on in my life.

This has been a pretty good season for broadcast shows in terms of quality overall. I am pleased.
