This was a fun episode with lots of classic Bluebell charm. The episode ending was so so sweet, I'm sure many tears were falling. April Blair, Leila Gerstein, and Brandi Bradburn are always a winning team, and I hope they get to collaborate in a Season 5.
The show is at its best when Lemon and Zoe spend time together. I still can't find myself to care for Lemon/Lavon, but if it gets Lemon and Zoe interacting I'll take it. When Zoe pulled the "I'm pregnant card" twice and then stole the muffin I was about to go off on her. But then at the spa, when Lemon pulled out her "demands" and Zoe broke down I got it. And I'm glad that Lemon did too and gave her the duck. And I'm glad Zoe realised she can't monopolize Lavon. Anyway it was great to see them work things out! Also: Wade's "Lemon ain't that bad" killed me!!! Also #2: Wade and BABIES!!!!
I seriously can't sit through the George/AB stuff. I find myself constantly fighting down a gag reflex. I never get this repulsed by romantic pairings but they do it for me... I guess it's that forced sugar shoved down my throat. At the very least, it was good to see George and his parents get some closure amidst all that, so there's an upside I guess.
Lastly it was a lovely fun townie episode! Shelby's awesome!!! Wade/Brick/Lavon was an odd combo. But I thought it worked out nicely! Pity those 3 didn't spend more time together throughout the run of the show.
Not sure what to make of George and AnnaBeth together yet. On one hand I like it, and it's good to see AB supporting George in his plunge into music management (as well as her parents) but on the other hand I wonder if they're falling so hard so fast that it's bound to explode. On the other hand George getting on her parent's good side is a positive sign, and I really liked that scene where George and AB were talking to her parents about the music management business (also loved that they used "Highs and Lows" by Claire Guerreso during that scene).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
