Another great episode. Drunk Cookie is still sharp. Lol. Andre broke my heart. I felt bad for Rhonda as well. Jamal continues to be the man. Love Judd Nelson.
What a Fantastic and absolute awesome episode this was!!!
Wow, Andre going INSANE and the beginning scene was fantastic especially when Cookie said Bye Felicia to Anika!!! Also, it's good to see Tiana sucking it up and coming back to Empire and it's good that Cookie had back up to prevent Tiana from going to sing for Anika!
I loved this episode. Andre is a relatable character to me because I have and still do struggle with bipolar disorder so it felt so relatable for me to watch another character on a show struggle with not wanting to take his meds and the outcome of it.
That was very heart breaking to watch, they had to keep him confounded to a room., just to watch him go crazy., just imagine dealing with that all the time
Compared to previous episodes, it was average. Compared to the rest of network TV, blows everything else away. There was a lot of filler with the singing. Andre & bros elevator scene was amazing in content and visually. TPH continues to steal the show. What was WB/POI thinking? All I can say is that she definitely got a huge upgrade.
Cookie is a lead role, Carter wasn't. She was a textbook good guy, even her "gray" actions always clearly served a good cause. This offered much less possibilities than Cookie's flamboyant and dark character. I liked Carter's character, but it was played out, her story was built up, reached its cathartic point and ended in a very honourable way. (Not to mention that unlike in most shows, Carter's memory is lingering in the show even now, she wasn't forgotten.) Add to this that it was her intention not to stay in the show for too long - there are no ground to blame PoI's creators. I'm very happy that TPH got this role and made it a huge success, I wish her all the best, she deserves it.
Andre is crazy, I feel sorry for his wife and for his family. I like this plot of war of the both records, they build great moments for most of the cast.
yea I know it was hard to watch and my mom told me yesterday that's how I was when I didn't take my meds it felt so great for ppl to watch and understand it and know what bipolar ppl go threw and how uncontrollable it is
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Andre too much for me. He need to his butt on his meds.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking this new song CONQUEROR
I'm glad the family is finally going to be aware of Andre's mental illness.

EMPIRE continues to prove that it is the best drama on broadcast TV.
ReplyDeleteEach week the show manages to balance comedic gold with gut wrenching drama without skipping a beat.
Cookie and Andre really stole the show and the acting throughout was top-notch and award worthy all around.
