    I voted poor. Last season was much better in my opinion! They screwed everything when killing Malcolm and all his followers...

    I have mixed feelings on this ep. I don't really think the Big Bad is working well for this show. I agree that they should have stuck with Malcolm. At least now we know what's going on. But, I'm just not really feeling it with this season.

    I was glad they showed that other female werewolves can survive the change, even if she came out kind of insane. It seemed to me that she might have been able to have come out of that mental state at some point if she hadn't been killed.

    Rachel's stupidity drives me crazy. She left that top thing in there, she should have taken it with her and she should have run off the property.

    I don't know, I think it was a mistake for them to really do this whole witch storyline. This was why I stopped reading the books. Because it went right off focus of the werewolves.

    At long last, we now know what's going on. So I take it Alister is bitter because he was cast out and to get his revenge, he has decided to make the prophecy come true. I expect witches to star dropping next week.


    Anyone else feel like Savannah will be able to break that spell that he has on her. If she is as strong as he says she is, it means she is even more powerful than him.

    She wouldn't have been able to leave the property anyways because Alister branded her. I stopped reading after the werewolf story was over too.

    I like adding the witches to the storyline. I'm waiting for the pack to find the compound, hopefully next episode. I'm also really enjoying Nick& Paige.

    Against my better judgment, I decided to give another season of this show a try. I figured it might get better with the love triangle out of the way. With a few exceptions, it has not.


    - Malcolm was a much more interesting character and villain than Alistair.
    - Season two has too much focus on recurring characters. The character development of almost all the regulars has come to a halt.
    - In its second season, a show about werewolves has become solely about witches. Elena's entire pack are nothing but pawns in someone else's bullsh*t.
    - Separating Elena from the rest of the main characters for an entire block of episodes was a poor choice. This show's narrative is so tightly wound around Elena that when she's given solo material everyone else is left idle or given menial tasks to fill airtime.
    - Season one was much more character driven while season two is story driven. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Bitten has a good enough story to support that change.
    - Rachel has become a caricature. She's the dummy who viewers yell at during horror movies. I feel bad for Genelle Williams. She deserves better material than this.



    It's early yet and things could improve but this show's track record says otherwise.

    Hope is a dangerous thing for a Bitten viewer. It too often results in disappointment. I don't like to wish anyone out of a job but I'm kind of hoping that Rachel gets killed off. I'd like to see Genelle Williams get a better role on a different show. That would be the best case scenario for her and the show.

    When she stopped the top thing, the brands were inactive. If she had taken it with her, she could have left.



    They have rights to two more books, so there's a chance of more seasons, but the way this season is going, I doubt the ratings will be very high.

    I think the Doctor came out of the change insane but she was insane to begin with.


    I also don't understand why Rachel didn't take the top with her.

    the problem is fundamentally the source material. the writers, instead of having a take on the books, (loan female werewolf and exploring the world of shifters/ferals) are following them almost to the letter and they are basically shit.



    also the books are from the series "Women of the Otherworld" and are not just centered around Elena. For example the third & fourth books are about Paige. Elena doesn't come back in the series till book five and that has time travel. (there are 13 novels)



    if the show gets picked up I am sure you will enjoy the introduction of time travel, demons and vampires also.
