  1. I want to see Ryan Durst again but this was a good episode. They are setting Norma up with that psych guy but I hope we continue to get therapy scenes because that was the best scene.

  2. so now it's the prostitution issue, no more human traffic or drugs, well, hopefully this is a really good plot, well thought and built, because its connection to the Bates family makes no sense at all, and it's not really appealing so far (to me of course), anyway, I liked this episode very much, especially the family matters that it's what I really care about, I really felt sorry for Caleb and Dylan, this last one almost made me cry in the end of the episode, and Norman was really fantastic, I like him this way, creepy and crazy, I'm pretty sure he's not going to tell Norma about Caleb, he probably will blackmail Dylan for a while, and I think that's great.

  3. Great episode, again a lot of allusions/similarities to season 1: Emma & Norman finding something they probably shouldn't in the woods, two men ransacking the Hotel office room has similar looks (including the car) to Jacob Abernathy + insinuated back door house search , Norma breaking down defenses over coffee to the Psych teacher = breaking down to Deputy Shelby), and Norma holding onto evidence. (and was Keith Summers body also put in room number 4, I can't remember?)

This kind of makes me wonder if Bob Harris was connected at all to Keith Summers, Deputy Shelby, and/or Jacob Abernathy???

Although it def seems that Harris is pulling strings for Ramero to be replaced and he clearly has a connection to Annika Johnson and Lindsay Davis, I am not convinced that he is solely behind their murders or is physically responsible...

I'm still thinking that Caleb could have a hand in the murders (the girls are all kind of like 'young Normas'). His emotional breakdown to Dylan just reminded me of Norman, although it could easily parallel Norma in the episode too. The whole back story with Norman and Caleb along with both of them recently using their mother's death as an excuse to manipulate others, also makes me wonder what ever happened to their father??

Other thoughts: About the flash drive: I could see two things happening with that. Either Hunter finds it and types in his own name and it works (because the "A" club is a HUNTING lodge club) or I could see Chick Hogan (Dylans' ex-con neighbor) having expertise in hacking--although I wouldn't put it past him to be working on behalf of Bob Paris either...

And what could be on the Flash Drive? It's think of something that would "help" Norma and Norman (although I wonder if she actually mean Dylan since she didn't say Norman's name, but, " you and your son"?) . At first I thought maybe it would lead to an account with some money, but now seeing that the girls may have all gotten too close to Bob Harris and his allegedly corrupt politics, I'm wondering what other piece of information could possibly help them? The Bypass maybe or is it about Norman??

This also makes me wonder if the girls are intentionally undercover agents--where someone is trying to get info on all sorts of people in the town? If that were true, then I could see easily why Bradley would want to come back...

  4. Why Bradley left in the first place??!!, nobody would suspect of her, nobody did even though she happened to commit suicide right after this guy was murdered, that move was kind of silly in my opinion. Anyway your theory about the prostitutes sounds interesting, but who knows, also about the similitud to the first season, although sadly this season is not even close in intensity to the first, the first season was really good since episode one, and this 3rd. not so much... I mean, this is the first episode I found really appealing, where all the main characters finally where linked in a same action, and Norman was really creepy not just a dumb horny kid, and we're talking about the 4th. episode!!, almost half season that's too much.

  5. "although sadly this season is not even close in intensity to the first, the first season was really good since episode one."

I disagree a bit. The tone IMO is way more intense because it's incredibly atmospheric, much more like a Hitchcock film, as a lot of the light-hearted moments are going away and becoming more clouded in emotional extremes from almost all of it's characters. (That bathroom scene was IMO one of the most intense and emotional scenes I remember seeing--let alone it's prelude to "Psycho") It's much harder to figure things out, because everything presented is unsteady.

I think Bates Motel always is a slow build, but season three is also meant to be the series bridging season, as they hope to have 5 seasons. With that being said, whatever happens this season should give the last two it's real meat. I like how the scope of things are opening (The DEA got involved, There's a man from out of town who wants to become the new Sheriff). They have introduced so many new characters (Bob Harris, Chick Hogan, Annika Johnson, Lindsey Davis, Marcus Young, James Finnigan, Portia, Two Mystery Men)and allow us to in some way to see older character reappear/give them a more interesting role (Caleb, Miss Watson, Gunner, and eventually Bradley) along with mass allusions to the first season and "Finding Neverland" in just four episodes that it is actually smart not to reveal too much and to let us keep guessing. Plus I think the fact that main two characters are coming off very different in some ways is also an interesting in terms of looking at it like a character study. There's nothing like solving everything before it's even begun and maybe some of these characters are also meant to continue on with us next season?!
