Another good episode. The sheriff is far too smart to not suspect anything is up with Norman. Something will happen to him this season because he is getting too suspicious of Norma and Norman.
Yep. I've always feared something would happen to the sheriff. Which is a shame, 'cause I like him! But once you get sucked into the Bates family's issues, well...it's only a matter of time. I loved Norma actually going so far as to investigate that party and pretend like she was on the list to be there. It's really interesting to see her getting more and more concerned about, if not outright fearful of, Norman, and seeing how the increasing buildup of all these issues are affecting her relationship with him.
I think this episode was better than the last one, I know it makes no sense because he's the main character, but most of the Norman's scenes are kind of tedious to me, I can see a whole episode of Norma, but not about Norman and if Emma joins the party it becomes worse for me. Now speaking of the other characters I loved seeing Romero again and this new guy from the drugs plot looks very interesting, as well as Caleb, I know what they do it's s***, but still, the way he behaves with Dylan and how he instructed him and stood up for him before that guy was kind of nice, I'm liking this character more and more, and finally the greatest doubt, did Norman kill Annika or was the guy she was gonna meet at that bar??...
Observations & Speculation: -Caleb is a good shot (suggests he has killed before) -Caleb is a good people reader (called the dog ruse of Chick Holgan) However, I still think he has been gathering information on people of WPB. I find it strange that Dylan didn't know he has at least one neighbor. -Dog fight is an interesting metaphor...where did that other dog come from? was it wild, or was this staged by Caleb? -Chick Holgan is a great a name, because he's anything but chicken, girly, or chique. and Holgan surname reminds me of Hulk Hogan . -Which brings me to think that Alex was not at the hunting club just for fun. (I thought I may have seen actor Kevin Rahm through the window) -Fun contrast between the gentlemanly and elegant men of the Hunting Club and Chick Holgan's appearance and house. (I thought I saw a dead animal hanging in the yard) -I can't imagine Norman didn't do it, because he's been acting so cheeky! -Norma too is very different. It could obviously be out of fear (she said as much when Alex left), but I am still hoping that our writers/EPs will twist and teak Pyscho's ending... -LOVE the Peter Pan reference for a couple of reasons: 1. Freddie Highmore's role as Peter and 2. the potential parallels of his characters loosing their mother's (and because of Emma, girlfriends) in the film Finding Neverland. -Love that Norma ran over that sign, but the way she just blurts it out to Norman was hilarious.
I think Alex will be there to the end of the series for 3 reasons: 1. I think he could be in the role of Sheriff Al Chambers from Pyscho 2. If what happens to Norma is the same as, or at least initially presented the same, as Pyscho, then I can see Alex being the one to try and bring Norman to justice in the end, because I think he really loves Norma... 3. This episode not only referenced Peter Pan, but really more specifically Finding Neverland, one of Freddie Highmore's more successful films. In case you may not of seen it, it's the romantisized story of writer John. Barry and how his relationship with a widowed woman and her sons inspired Peter Pan. The Mother, much like Emma, is dying as a result of cancer. In the end Barry adopts the children---Ramero I think has the capacity to be "father figure", which is why he keeps helping them, despite what his instincts are probably telling him....
", I'm liking this character more and more, and finally the greatest doubt, did Norman kill Annika or was the guy she was gonna meet at that bar??...",
I thought that too, but Norman is just so comfortable with himself and getting back at Norma, that I can't imagine that he didn't play a big role in it, especially how delighted he was with the results from Norma wasting her time and not getting results at the bar. However, I noticed Annika wasn't wearing clothes in that final shot with her body at the lake and Norman has yet to be that fastidious, but then again his hallucinations could be "evolving"...
"this new guy from the drugs plot looks very interesting, as well as Caleb, I know what they do it's s***, but still, the way he behaves with Dylan and how he instructed him and stood up for him before that guy was kind of nice..."
The problem I have with this situation is that Caleb knows too much about everything. Dylan is not an idiot. I would imagine he would of checked to see if he had neighbors or not...It almost feels staged to me. The fact that Dylan knew where he lived and invited himself to stay in the last episode, suggests that Caleb may have been doing research... I keep wondering if Caleb is setting Dylan up to get closer to him? And if that dog wasn't Chick's dog, then whose dog was it? Sure it could of been a wild dog, a runnaway abused dog, but I find they way it all worked out too smooth for comfort...
So (about Norman) you think he didn't even take Annika to that bar??, it's a good possibility, now that's what I mean about Norman, yeah if he had sex with Annika and then killed her, this means that everything is going to be the same??, he's going to be killing every slutty woman who happens to like him??, that's boring!!. And about Caleb, yeah I know Dylan is not stupid, but he's kind of naive yet, because he's a young fella who doesn't really know about the mob life, for God's sake he thinks he can walk away from them, and start his new marihuana business in the same freaking town!!, and that, that won't bring him any trouble, that says how innocent he can still be, so even if Caleb could be faking his interest, just because he wants to take the advantage of having a son who's already connected to a "business", at the same time he's being really helpful, because, I don't think Caleb had something to do with the neighbour, I don't think he's going to turn out being a friend of Caleb, that he brought to town just to put pressure over Dylan, although it doesn't sound that crazy either, I just think (for the knowledge I have) that once a drug problem starts it's impossible to be stopped, because a bunch of people get involve and you can't stop them all, and this guy could be another survivor just like Dylan is.
i feel very afraid for Emma now...especially if she has Sex with Norman, which it seems she's so Horny to do it, lol...Norman might end up Killing Emma after having sex with her... i hope not but it could happen...☺...
I think Norman may have taken her down the wrong road intentionally and never went to bar and that is why he was over confident and delighted when Norma didn't get any information, because he knew there wouldn't be any to have, because Annika never made it there...
well with Dylan we have missing history....we have no idea what he did between the time he left home and the time he comes to White Pine Bay, but he did know how to use a gun, so that might say something, let alone what happened to his non biological father...But in some ways, you are right, he has something innocent or naive about him at times. I could easily be wrong, I just found that whole situation and Caleb's attitude too contrived.
Chic Holgan strikes me as something from various films like a 1970s POW with PTSD, a colonial fur trader, and a guy who has gone way out of his way to live an off grid lifestyle...
I'm not so sure. Emma doesn't meet his MO IMO. She is not sexually [mis]leading him on or promiscuous and he is the one to make the official move. I think either he will avoid sex all together or when it happens, it will be a kind of temporary release (like with Cody). The only way I see him hurting Emma is if she confronts him alone, catches and confronts him in the act, or she ends up with someone else (or Norman sees someone else kiss her) where he can label her what he labels all the others woman...
I think either Emma will die of her illness or I could see her runaway with Dylan at some point...
As we know Bad Robot writers love referenceing fellow BR writer's work, especially work they worked on before. So it may not be a coincidence that Annika (TC is BR alumni) was in room number 4 (a LOST number, specifically John Locke's number) and like him, she died....but perhaps this also means she will have a twin! It just seems like they made a big deal with promos and interviews with her for there not to be more IMO...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

I can't wait to see the relationship between Norma and Romero develop, it is very sweet… i just know it isn't going to end well for Romero tho.

The actors played that scene perfectly, and I think they're definitely going to hook up after that.
