  1. Pretty clever way of Elizabeth reaching out to Paige and being to turn her, its less scary than the whole being spies thing.

  2. Wow!!! Did not see that Irina's son story line coming back at all. I always thought that in S1 Irina just fed Philip a false story of their son to get him riled up so that when he hit her (for the mission), it would come from a place of anger and leave more authentic bruises. If it's indeed true then there are major ramifications ahead for Philip and Elizabeth. She's not going to take this well.

Nina doing what it takes to survive. Even if it means snitching on a cell mate.

Elizabeth brought up Gregory. I was shocked. She's taking a more direct approach with Paige.

Both Philip and Elizabeth were trying to play their own daughter this week. First Philip, not coming out outright but hinting to Paige not be influenced by anyone. We, the audience could see he meant Elizabeth but poor Paige was confused as hell. And now Elizabeth plays on her daughter's work (of writing and protesting) to make her see that her parents did even more than that.

Favorite scene: Philip and Elizabeth smoking that blunt and being carefree for some precious moments.

  3. I find it fascinating how Elizabeth is developing Paige piece by piece. And Philip trying his best to bore into his daughter's mind that she is her own person & not to be influenced by others. Both parents fighting a 'Cold War' over their daughter's heart and mind. Fascinating stuff.

  4. Although most viewers seem to be reverted by the Phillip/Kimberly romance, I find myself fascinated by the Elizabeth/Paige relationship. Bringing Paige to the ghetto and telling her the story of her early life with life with Gregory (the Black activist) is a master-stroke by Elizabeth. Paige could have never imagined her mother to be a civil rights protester--let alone a SDS-type of radical. So far, Elizabeth hasn't divulged that Gregory was her lover--or black. Elizabeth is bringing Paige along, step by step, feeding Paige's desire to protest the Establishment. When she finds out that her mother was more radical that she could dream of herself, Paige will admire Elizabeth more than ever before--and will be open to following in her mother's footsteps. As a Russian Spy--the ultimate protest!
