What a mess. One of the soldiers accidentally killing Elena in a tense situation and then Ramse killing Max. Neither death was surprising though.
I feel for Ramse but this is not the way to go. And I liked Cassie and Aaron's talk at the end because it reflected what was going on in the future: Saving the one or the many? I'm with Cassie on the subject.
Cole tried to protect Ramse but after Ramse killing Max things are going to get nasty. This is going to hurt a lot. Not that it isn't already.
I wonder how they're going to solve Cole's health issues. We know they'll figure it out based on what Cassie said in 2017. There's no way Cole stops everything in 1987. It's not the series finale yet.
He just lost Elena. Max was in the heat of a moment. He saved Dr. Alder instead of letting him burn in the fire at the beginning. He's not yet a monster. He's just very misguided.
yeah i'm trying to remember the Cassie from 2017 but it's freaking hard seeing her with Aaron (God that first scene are they TRYING to kill Cassie and Cole shippers) we NEED a FULL-ON you know scene not just a make-out session, after what we've been through with Henri and now Aaron. I can't believe this entire season was leading to the DESTRUCTION of Cole and Ramse's brotherhood and you know what's worse, things like this usually have build-up but THIS: this had ABSOLUTELY no build-up. One second they were joking around the second they full-on arch-enemies
actually opposite for me, THIS i'd throw away in a second but those two rank around my favorites, especially in Atari when Cole and Ramse were talking about escaping the West 7, standout performances from Aaron Stanford and Kirk Acevedo and in The Red Forest with Cole going NUTS trying to find Cassie. Then seeing the Inside 12 Monkeys BTS they give after every episode on Syfy.com and hearing the revelation that Cole has fallen in love with Cassie
FUUUUUCK!! I can't believe the episode is over!!, this show is AMAZING!!, I was expecting to see what Cole was going to do once he gets to Ramsey and PUMP!! the episode was over, this so great!!, and tells us about quality, anyway, so Cassie is not really falling for Cole, is she??, it seems like she just feels sympathy for his sacrifice but that's it, she really loves Aaron, well I hope that whatever he made to "keep her safe", it's so big that she finally decide to break up with him. Now I'm dying to find out who is that woman who killed Cole's parents, today I could swear she looked like Cassie, but I think is more possible that she's Dr. Jones, after all she's a crazy goat desperate to get her daughter back, well, we'll see.
I am so done with Ramses. He's unforgivable to me now. I don't even buy his love for his son. If he truly loved him, he would have been with him, raising him. Not abandoning him so that he can try and stop something that he knows hasn't worked how many times already? He's a huge hypocrite as well. He has no right to condemn Jones or Foster or any of those people, since he jumped right to justifying killing to save someone he loves too. Ugh. I hope Cole kills him. The 180 turn with Ramses has just become so frustrating to watch.
I feel for Cassie. She thought it was over, they had saved the world. And then as happy as she is to have Cole back, she finds out that that horrible future is still happening. I don't blame her for becoming colder. But I loved what she said to Aaron, that sacrificing millions or billions to save one person, is not justifiable.
RIP, Max, we barely knew ye. But who knew you'd turn out to be more steadfast and moral than Ramses?
At this point, I think Ramses is going to end up being the Witness. Or creating the 12 Monkeys. He's become evil and hypocritical enough to justify creating the plague and releasing it just so he can ensure his son is born.
it's a woman? i didn't think they showed a person, i thought it was the same one from the last one. It had new details? maybe it's the Striking Woman. I'm trying to think of 2017 Cassie because she was definitely in love with "James". That first scene they showed: i CANNOT believe they showed that to Cassie and Cole shippers, it's like they want a revolt
you just scared the CRAP out of me, NO, Ramse may be gone from who he's supposed to be but he is NOT the creator of the worst cult in history and the fact that Max WAS more moral than Ramse HIMSELF speaks to how low he has fallen. You're right he never should've splintered especially since it's a one-way trip for him. Cassie didn't seem very happy to see Cole back, what makes you think she was?
i would've agreed with you if this didn't happen but he's too far gone for him not to be considered a villain. He tore through that facility as if he was still West 7. This is Ramse we're talking about here, he's the moral compass to Cole and he killed around 6-8 people maybe more, remorseless killing
Yeah I had a problem too with how fast that escalated. But then Jones taking the core escalated quickly too. Things change fast in the future.
Cole and Ramse talked to each other at the end of the last episode (epic 9) when they shouldn't have. What I mean is that neither one of them were going to be emotionally available enough to be sympathetic to each other on what had happened and neither had seen what the other had. Basically distance is partly what killed their friendship.
Positive side is up to Max being killed neither made any hint of wanting to kill each other. In fact Cole told Jones the team couldn't hurt Ramse. Ramse hasn't said anything yet about wanting to kill anyone but Jones.
I don't like Cassie with Aaron anymore than you but I expected the writers to hold off on the romance for the main leads. I really hope we get more sweet scenes in 2015 soon though. Seems like forever since the dance.
My favorite episodes tend to be the ones I watch more on repeat. And those tend to be the ones with more Cassie and Cole scenes. Completely biased. And I have pretty much enjoyed all the episodes (not so much this one because of the PAIN but there's great acting in this one too you know).
The person in the milk spill memories? Yeah it looks like a blonde woman. In particular she looks a lot like Cassie. It's very brief. They've shown it before but it's easy to miss.
Sorry. But the way Ramses is right now, I can absolutely see him as part of bringing the plague around.
I think she was happy to see Cole for a moment. She cares about him. She didn't want him dead. But him being alive also means the plague is still happening and that's a horror to her, as it should be. So it's bittersweet. Cole's alive but billions of people are still going to die.
I always look forward to Jennifer episodes/scenes. As if dark/crazy Jennifer weren't cool enough she gets darker/crazier and even COOLER in the future (she looked like a straight "super - villain" this episode) after the virus (No Spoilers)! This is a great series SyFy has got it's hands on....................more people should be watching 12 Monkeys. Is Alisen Down (Isabeau/Lost Girl) aka "The Striking Woman" really scary or what? 4 MONKEY SCIENCE MADNESS (Cole/Cassie/Jennifer), I am Nobody!!!
you know this episode kept punching us in the gut by saying that Cassie is always going to die and that she's important to the 12 Monkeys. I don't think Ramse creates the plague
I just see things in more gray. I can understand villains sometimes. Why they do the bad things they do. In this case I can't completely blame Ramse for going off like that. I can even understand Jones.
I never said I liked what their choices were. In fact both really have shocked/upset me. At this point I've been using Jones as a comparison to Ramse because they really aren't much different anymore. Ironic. Ramse would need to look in the mirror. His actions aren't all that different from hers anymore.
I thought the same but at this point who the hell knows. It's just a quick flash. I could see maybe someone trying to kill kid Cole though and Cassie needing to stop it? Or maybe it's a memory/vision mixed up. It started happening only after the alternate timeline when Cassie died early so I wonder a lot about what it means.
I don't think he's the head/creator of the 12 Monkeys etc. but I agree that he likely helped them out - probably a lot too. Which may likely be why they always have back-up viruses everywhere it seems.
Yeah Ramse creating the plague would not make much sense with the time loop going on. If he was creator of it, he'd have had to go to the past before he had a reason to go. Which makes zero sense.
I'm predicting the creation of the virus is actually a paradox in itself because the source is one of the early time travel experiments who never returned... it went further back in time than they anticipated and time travel mutated the virus or the chemicals in his system.
Would explain how the 12 Monkeys are able to keep evading attempts to destroy the virus if they have information from the future and know some of what Cole will being doing.
it could be, last night I recalled something from the movie,(sorry if I'm spoiling something, although I don't think so, because we don't really know what direction the show is gonna take), anyway, in the movie Cole also had a recurrent dream about this guy being shot in the airport while a blonde woman is running towards him crying desperately, he never knew who those people were until almost the end of the movie, he figured out that he was the guy and that the Dr. Railly was the blonde woman, so I guess this is going to be the same, because in the movie the little boy Cole is also there watching the scene, so maybe next episode, Cole and Ramse are going to talk Cole will believe Ramse about what Dr. Jones is actually doing, and Cole won't want to work for her anymore, so she could be who will travel to the past to kill Cole's parents so she could have the kid under her custody, but Cassie will save him, and that's what he recalls... lol, too complicated??.
Ok Fellow Followers ...................... I have been trying to decide who this "Witness" is. At first I thought maybe it was someone we haven't met yet, but the last 2/3 eps.......... I am now leaning towards Ramsey.
A WITNESS see's all, so to speak. Ramsey has Seen and Lived the aftermath of the virus, now he is in the past Sewing the seeds of the outbreak to ensure Sam's survival. The conversation between he and Goings was at first a little rambling ( ei Jennifer Speak), but listen again, she Knows of his ROLE in the things to come - future for Ramsey - past for her.
Ramse being the Witness for me makes the most sense out of all the theories. As you said, he's seen the affects of the virus, the future, and he also knows what's happened a bit with Cole's time travels.
I was more thinking of the 12 Monkeys trying to kill young Cole and his parents getting in "their way". That's if Cole's parents didn't just die of the virus. It was not mentioned yet how they died.
I don't think Ramse would be able to turn Cole against Jones - or at least her project. Cole believes fully in time travel being the way to go.
I do think maybe things could end up similar to the movie. I've never watched it besides a few clips but I think adult Cole likely does die at some point, considering the address Cassie says will/could save his life. (Or maybe the address is for some other event - IDK).
you freaking SOB i want you to be so WRONG in so many ways, but it doesn't seem like you are anywhere CLOSE to wrong. But there's one thing that could exonerate Ramse, Jennifer (LOL Jennifer Speak) said that he's not a good friend now but he will be, so if he's The Witness he wants the plague to happen that doesn't make him a good friend
lol - Jennifer Speak was the best & shortest definition I could think of, she is wonderfully nutty - a great female version of Brad ! ! I can't help but laugh - but in a good way, as she does it flawlessly. . . . was even digging her ( and her groupies) samurai look ! Lol
I would LOVE to be wrong about Ramsey, as I really like he and Cole's bff relationship, but I just keep coming back to him as the witness. He knows All the players -the roles they play, Where AND When they take place, How desperate Cole is to fix things (including Cassie'survival ), AND exactly how to push Cole in the direction to save his son Sam's life.
yep all that's left is a confirmation that he's The Witness. Although weirdly enough, we haven't even heard anything about The Witness in a long time, we just had a passing comment from Cole last week
Cassie's coldness is (some what ) understandable, as she has been doing the "Fight The Virus" thing for much longer than Cole. Cole jumps in and out of time, Cassie is in the past, living each day, searching, REsearching, being shunned and disgraced, trying to stop a the virus....... and just when she thinks the virus has been eradicated, and her life can get back to normal, the ColeVirus Merry-go-round starts back up again.
Why didn't that guy that got shot in the leg just push the button so Ramsy could go back in time. I mean with all that has happen or hasn't happen or even re happen you think he would tried a lot harder not to let Ramsy go back in time. That really pissed me off. And Cassie too. Ugh, I'm not liking the way it's going right now. I think it started with the last episode. They whole thing with Ramsy having a kid really changed things that I'm not liking. Oh, well I'm not a writer for the show so can't complain too much. Though being a writer is something I wanted to do. But here to Cole killing Ramsy!
Whoa, what the heck is going on now,am I wrong when I say I'm starting to see doubts in a season 3 renewal? This episode jumped from 87 to what was it,2014 or 15 ,not surprising but still wtf Ramsey is such a hypocrite, he only just found out he had a son just days before, but personally, after going for years without seeing Elena why would automatically believe Sam is son without even questioning it,thought that was weird, but anyway,Cole is trying to save an entire population of people, ramsey only wants to save Sam,technically Cole is not killing his son by making it as though he never existed,Ramsey is just behaving unbelievably extreme I don't know what to say about cassie, it's clear most people want to see a romance with her and Cole, yet Aaron is still around, what are the writers doing, they specifically said,Cole and cassie start out as strangers, then become comrades, partners, and by the end of the season much much more, and I'm quoting Natalie Chaidez here, but with only 2 episodes left, what do you guys think?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
RAMSE YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a mess. One of the soldiers accidentally killing Elena in a tense situation and then Ramse killing Max. Neither death was surprising though.

I can't hate Ramse. I'm more disappointed. He's supposed to be the one with morals.
ReplyDeleteGod did you see him?! who is he?!!!!
ReplyDeleteand they have a renewal so Cole can't be done splintering LOL. It's really cool that i was right about Jennifer: she's the founder of The Daughters
ReplyDeleteAfter her speech in 2017 I wasn't surprised.
ReplyDeleteHe just lost Elena. Max was in the heat of a moment. He saved Dr. Alder instead of letting him burn in the fire at the beginning. He's not yet a monster. He's just very misguided.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally on Cole's side though.
i don't know if he can come back from this honestly
ReplyDeletei didn't like Cassie tonight
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't my favorite episode, especially after last week's ep.
ReplyDeleteWhen Ramse was sent back, I thought he would end up the source of the virus.
ReplyDeleteThis show just gets more and more complicated.
Yeah, she was quite cold. Getting tired of the virus thing.
ReplyDeleteMine either. It's one of my least favorites along with Atari and Red Forest. Not that those didn't have good scenes.
ReplyDeleteProbably not, but I don't think I'll ever be able to consider him evil. Someone evil is doing bad things for bad reasons.
ReplyDeleteyou know that old saying "a villain always thinks they're the hero of their story"
ReplyDeleteyeah i'm trying to remember the Cassie from 2017 but it's freaking hard seeing her with Aaron (God that first scene are they TRYING to kill Cassie and Cole shippers) we NEED a FULL-ON you know scene not just a make-out session, after what we've been through with Henri and now Aaron. ReplyDeleteThere's that. But I'm talking truly evil. As I said in the post before he's not there yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm not defending Ramse's actions, I just don't think it's black and white.
you just scared the CRAP out of me, NO, Ramse may be gone from who he's supposed to be but he is NOT the creator of the worst cult in history and the fact that Max WAS more moral than Ramse HIMSELF speaks to how low he has fallen. ReplyDeleteoh huh thanks, but come on it's not Cassie, it can't be
ReplyDeletemore creepy than scary

ReplyDeleteI wonder if Ramses tries to kill young Cole? He's the only one (other than Cassie ) in the past who knows who Cole is.
got that right!
ReplyDeletedefinitely i miss that i need Cole and Cassie back where they were in episode 2 with the gun teaching moment and the chinese food joking
ReplyDeletetrue
ReplyDeleteThat was episode 3. And yes I've watched that scene a lot. I bought the episodes online Amazon and watch it on my Kindle quite often.
ReplyDeleteOne of my theories was that one of the earlier travelers was a carrier.
ReplyDeleteoh right my bad 2 is when Cole officially teamed up with Cassie. "We", "We?", "We" loved that
ReplyDeleteNot when you're a time traveler. Especially if the machine malfunctions.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
ReplyDeleteI still think it would be slim. I didn't say impossible. And there's still my confusion over how the virus acts.
ReplyDeleteit could be, last night I recalled something from the movie,(sorry if I'm spoiling something, although I don't think so, because we don't really know what direction the show is gonna take), anyway, in the movie Cole also had a recurrent dream about this guy being shot in the airport while a blonde woman is running towards him crying desperately, he never knew who those people were until almost the end of the movie, he figured out that he was the guy and that the Dr.

I do think maybe things could end up similar to the movie. I've never watched it besides a few clips but I think adult Cole likely does die at some point, considering the address Cassie says will/could save his life. (Or maybe the address is for some other event - IDK).
Cole appeared to the younger verison of the guy who he killed in the pilot lol i believe way b4 1987
ReplyDeleteSneak peek for next episode is online Syfy right now: http://www.syfy.com/12monkeys/videos/12-monkeys-sneak-peek-shonin
ReplyDeleteI saw the latest webisode with Goines too. Surprised they didn't use it in an episode. I guess no time.
What makes you think this?
ReplyDeleteRemember when he held them at gun point and said he visited him when he was a child but cole had no idea what he said.
ReplyDeleteCole is the witness lol
I only remember Goines saying they'd met before in 1987.
ReplyDeleteThe Witness is on 12 Monkeys side so if it's anyone we know I think it would be Ramse. Cole wouldn't go bad.
is there any poll here with a result other than awesome?
ReplyDelete1987 same yr when the virus begins to take shape lol. Cole has altered the history alot on his travels
ReplyDeleteyou freaking SOB i want you to be so WRONG in so many ways, but it doesn't seem like you are anywhere CLOSE to wrong. ReplyDeletelol - Jennifer Speak was the best & shortest definition I could think of, she is wonderfully nutty - a great female version of Brad ! ! I can't help but laugh - but in a good way, as she does it flawlessly. . . . was even digging her ( and her groupies) samurai look ! Lol

ReplyDeleteWhoa, what the heck is going on now,am I wrong when I say I'm starting to see doubts in a season 3 renewal?
ReplyDeleteThis episode jumped from 87 to what was it,2014 or 15 ,not surprising but still wtf
Ramsey is such a hypocrite, he only just found out he had a son just days before, but personally, after going for years without seeing Elena why would automatically believe Sam is son without even questioning it,thought that was weird, but anyway,Cole is trying to save an entire population of people, ramsey only wants to save Sam,technically Cole is not killing his son by making it as though he never existed,Ramsey is just behaving unbelievably extreme
I don't know what to say about cassie, it's clear most people want to see a romance with her and Cole, yet Aaron is still around, what are the writers doing, they specifically said,Cole and cassie start out as strangers, then become comrades, partners, and by the end of the season much much more, and I'm quoting Natalie Chaidez here, but with only 2 episodes left, what do you guys think?
