I do interviews and write articles for the site in addition to reviewing a number of shows, including Supernatural, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Forever, Defiance, Bitten, Glee, and a few others! Highlights of this past year include covering San Diego Comic Con as press and a set visit to Bitten. When I'm not writing about television shows, I'm often writing about entertainment and media law in my capacity as a legal scholar. I also work in theatre when the opportunity arises. I'm an avid runner and rider, currently training in dressage.

  1. Some pretty blatant foreshadowing going on in that scene where Fitz and Simmons discuss May and her ex.

"You know what they say about opposites." Gee, I wonder what that line was referring to... right after the scene where she says that she has to accept that Fitz is different now LOL. We're finally making progress on the FitzSimmons issue.

  2. My favorite scene was the Evil Squad at the diner. You got some story on Cal, Black Bolt lite drinking through a straw, Cal's brand of crazy, and the other crazies nodding along to his reasoning.
PS - Was the tech guy the MCU Fixer?

  3. I love how Simmons got interrupted as she was saying spending more time together might rekindle things :D

  4. I do hope these two will be able to actually finish a conversation without getting interrupted at some point this season.

  5. ooh i really really hope so

  6. The Fight On sequence was great, from Cal on the PA system, to the May and Bobbi fight scenes and Gordon turning up.

  7. That Bobbie and Mack thing is starting to annoy the hell out of me seriously. And Skye leaving SHIELD I'm sorry but that's not an option. And WTF I thought that Coulson was tired of secrets.

  8. The scene about the real SHIEKD was a total jawdropper.

  10. Great scene - definitely on my long list. Thanks for adding it here!

  11. I'm not looking forward to how devastated Fitz is going to be over Mack after Ward... but it will definitely help with Simmons...

It gets a "B minus" from me for the SHIELD plot threads and what I would call; good intentions. But despite some of the good character developments and fight choreography, the basic logic around Cal and his misfits was very flawed: eye rolling, forehead slapping flawed.

In no particular order here is some (and there's no other way to say it) ranting:

    * Lady finger blades: Drea de Matteo's character. Did I miss the part where it was explained that she was Weapon X? Where she had advanced combat training or that the blades grafted onto her were anything more that xacto knife blades? No? Because it sounded like she was simply an abused woman who grafted blades onto her fingers and that's it. If that's it, then why did it take Mockingbird longer than 5 seconds to knock her out?

    * Why did big mouth whatshisname go for the gun? All he had to do was open his mouth and cough. Clear his throat. Anything. But no, his first reaction was to go for the gun. Are the writers lazy or do they think we're stupid or both?

    * The whole execution of Cal and his misfits was weak. It looked cheap, and it didn't serve a single purpose other than to put Daisy (yes, her name is Daisy) in the same place as Cal so she could see him get taken and demonstrate that she was trying to get emotional control of her powers. It didn't need what was billed as the Legion of Doom (I know ..different comic property but you get what I mean) coming together to wreak havoc on the world when it was just a bunch of D listers riding around in a cheap ass Winnebago drinking diner coffee. Not exactly "Acts of Vengeance" .. comics readers will know what means.

  13. Might be just the impetus Fitz and Simmons need to patch things up though -- their respective new bffs keeping something like this from everybody.

  14. When Skye directs her powers inward and passes out. "Mama May" and "Daddy Coulson" come running the rescue.

  15. I voted for FitzSimmons, i really miss their banter and it was refreshing that they could speak without being awkward to each other about those two

  16. That fight sequence was amazing

  17. From the list Fitz and Jemma talking about May and Andrew

I guess I cold also vote the whole fight sequence, but for me it wasn't the WHOLE sequence, but only Skye actually seeing and being terrified of what SHIELD (and especially her parental figures) were doing to people on the index.

And then I also voted: Other
    In which I'm including
    - Andrew shutting Jemma down when she suggested -and persisted- they keep Skye drugged. (I wanted to hug him!)
    - Mack calls to brief Bobbi about Hunter and Hunter curses them both from captivity (I'm been very "Meh!" over Bobbi and Hunter -and still am- and I've quite liked Mack until very recently, where I think the 180 turn they've given him is a bit OOC -but whatever- however I think scene this kinda tied together all their storylines and backstories quite nicely. So I just enjoyed it from a character perspective even if it didn't give too much info storywise)

  18. Also known as: two good friends and members of her team running to the rescue.

  19. What's wrong with Mom and Dad? ;) they basically are, on and off screen

  20. There isn't anything wrong with it, it's just that the comment read like them coming to the rescue had more to do with them being parental figures than just them being people who care about her.
